  1. Dealer or private sale?
  2. Any thief worth their salt I imagine doesn't chance a theft i.e. spot a nice car on a drive, I would think it involves some level of planning to ensure they have the tools for the job. Walking up and down the road and seeing the car going in and out of a garage/garage door open on weekends etc. is all part of it. As above, once in they have the run the of the place to go find car keys, do what they need to do in the car/vandalise it and walk off and no one is any wiser.
  3. Locked at request of OP - decided to keep them.
  4. Absolutely this. Just because it hasn't happened to you nub doesn't mean its unlikely. When our completely stock Ford Focus was involved in a hit and run by an Asda delivery driver (our car was parked with no one in it at the time) the insurance company sent out a guy who was very helpful assessing the damage, said there and then it was pretty much a Cat D and proceeded to open the boot, look in the cabin, check around the car before compiling his report back. If you don't declare it A. you run the risk of being invalid B. the mods are not covered like for like so you lose the value of them in a claim C. Saying you do it on a public forum is not sensible as companies will google search you
  5. Ring them?
  6. Approved for discussion but pretty sure this has come up a few times already, consensus is hugely overpriced and many other issues around authenticity.
  7. The new wheels will make all the difference, any chance of letting us know what you ordered?!
  8. You need to open Imgur, click each image, you will see on the right hand side a 'Direct Link' copy the link and come back here, click the green square and copy the URL link into the space provided, then it will link the image to the post.

    GT-Four

I agree, mine is much better looking, although it hides it well that Supra has a V8 under the bonnet

    GT-Four

Dropped the Four off today for some work, and look what I ended up parking next to, its bigger brother
  11. Hand print on the boob FTW though!
  12. Here's the reply I got, a man of few words, well that's that then..NOT INTERESTED. Sorry no photos, it was really light front damage.... He has sent me a bit more info... Sorry no photos, it was really light front damage. Bumper and bonnet. It was repaired to a very high standard by Horsham car paint repairs. Its spot on. It could be Cat D if the bonnet was misaligned by impact etc. but then you would worry the structure of the car is compromised. As above, if you are looking to spend under £5k this might end up being all you are going to get, I cannot see prices dropping any further.
  13. So whats your budget Bandit - you are probably bordering on the record for longest on forum without actually ever buying a Zed
  14. Photo evidence required
  15. Sold - thread locked
  16. Considering changing your Z Legend status to 'Always getting my coat' on account of your raft of bad jokes
  17. My wife has a 14 year old Renault Megane and pays £30 less for it than my Celica GT-Four. The insurance companies generally throw stuff into a computer and see what comes up, pretty sure its not personal. If you can prove that the email went to the wrong place you could put in a customer complaint that you never had the chance to assess the renewal price, but really you are relying on their goodwill.
  18. How many coats do you have mate...!
  19. Had you changed your email address? I would have thought it would have gone to the same email address they initially set you up on? I use CK and have nothing but good experiences and prices with them, AF were not quite as competitive, but were not terrible. In terms of price increases, pretty much every insurance company does the same at renewal time - although agree the increase is somewhat excessive.
  20. Was the £1300 the auto-renew price and you forgot to check it and it got renewed? (hence the £400 deposit comment?)
  21. That's odd, my dad and brother service my cars and they are not Jap car experts in any shape or form - its just oil, sparks etc. nothing technical? Abbey are just around the M25 from you, check out the other traders on here also.
  22. I bought my GTRs 18 inch 8 width all round for my GT4 for £400 (newly refurbished) - maybe a good start point for pricing yours, take a punt on £500-£600 for the wheels plus extra for the tyres, £800-£900 all in maybe?
  23. The ad is a bit misleading, Cat D is not defined by a little bump on the front. If its hit something then chassis and suspension checks would be a first port of call. If he bought it damaged then he should also have taken photos of it, or at least have photos of when it was advertised as written off. Check also how long he owned the car, if its a few months it could be he buys up cars, quick fix, sells on. Oh and the Nismo badge adds £10 value to it (or whatever chinese badges go for nowadays on ebay!)
  24. Bookham or Great Bookham? We often found heading down to Bockets Farms with the little un' - double fun for him, ride in 'Daddys Car' and animals!
  25. I know how much work went into this so big to Stu for organising it. December looks rather cool
