Maybe the OP is non confrontational and does not want to feel uncomfortable when he goes back. Have you got the hourly labour rate yet? One thing is for sure, and that is you will learn very fast who to trust and who not to. But on the flip side, quality work does not come cheap. You need to find a balance. There are some fantastic traders on here and the forum members will always help you out of a fix. We have a big voice on here when we are united, so try to relax as there maybe a plausible reason for the prices.

I have a HR and had the same concerns as you. As soon as I had an up-rev done, all that jerkiness went. The clutch is high on these cars and takes some getting used to especially when pulling out. But hang in there, as all will be remedied when you get used to driving it

Excuse if this has already been mentioned b4 but, did you get an estimate prior to commissioning the work. In addition, did you ask the hourly rate plus vat? If not you could have picked a £75 plus vat an hour guy! Just a thought.

I stumbled upon a tyre place in Mitcham last week and its well worth a visit if your on a budget. He has some kind of deal going with local showrooms and car suppliers. basically from what I can gather, some customers buy a new car and they don't like the tyres that are on it for what ever reason. Some companies will buy a fleet of cars and stipulate a certain make, so the new tyres already on the car are taken off and he buys them. For example only. We got 2 brand new fitted 225/40/18 y Bridgestone Potenza 050A whatever for £170 fitted and balanced cash. I am not promoting the guy nor am I getting any commission. I destroyed a front Bridgestone on mine 245/40/18y and could not afford a new one. So he matched me with a 7mm which is what the depth was of the one I destroyed and fitted it for £50 all in. Has anyone ever taken out the padded part of the door card on a HR please. I want to make some proper leather covers myself, as the ones that are on there are like the handbrake and gear knob gaiter. Cheap vinyl. Thanks in advance.

lets not get confused about laser jammers and laser vans. A laser van is triggered very similar to a gatso trigger. Lets say that the van is triggered to go off at 32mph. If your going along at 31 mph then you won't trigger the laser from the van. And as such, your device will not pick it up as your not being targeted. If you were travelling at 33mph then the trigger is released and a passive beam is sent 3 times I believe toward your car. It is this beam that your detection device should pick up. Anyway I have been using an app that was recommended to me called WAZE Its a navigation aid and a vast number of other users are running it. All I am going to say it this, Down load and give it a try. And enter into the spirit of things.

Me too. I was under the impression you can get charged for perverting the course of justice for using a jammer. Which is way more serious than a speeding ticket. I Could be wrong though.
