  1. I have had them on the last 3 vehicles I have owned and to be honest only ever gone off once but it was aimed at a car that was over taking me. Anyway lets keep it on gadgets:)
  2. It's complicated but you have to do what every you feel comfortable with. Remember you are your own man and not pressured into doing anything you don't want to do.
  3. A mate of mine has had one of these diffusers for years and swears by it. It gives an audible warning if you are targeted and allows you to drop your speed. Its more a laser jammer. you really need 2 on the front and 2 on the back of the Zed like I have and certainly on larger cars. It's most important to have them on the rear. The audible warning lasts for approx 5-7 seconds which allows as you said to check your speed accordingly. All the time you hear it units are jamming the laser signal from locking onto your car. Usually the device targeting your vehicle will register a error code. The device then turns it'self off and rearms,as to error messages and the chances are they will follow you and jump all over your car. I noticed someone mentioned that snooper was no good at detecting laser vans. 1st of all a laser van or device has a trigger and will only turn on and target vehicles going over the speed it is set for. Your device will not warn you in advance unless you are speeding as that's the only time your vehicle is targeted. If you were doing 36 in a 30 and came into range then your device should sound an alert. You can tell I am a nerd
  4. atm the £50 ones are still in testing stage. I should think I may be able to get my hands on them when there ready
  5. I have diffusers if thats how its spelt front and rear. When a laser is fired at the car I fire one back causing the originating signal to give an error code. ATM a friend of mine is developing a nice little plug and play device. All Police radios create chatter! Every 30 seconds they communicate back to their base station. This device (Successfully tested) picks up this chatter, and the device starts to beep to let you know that somewhere nearby is a Police vehicle. As at the moment nothing out there except rear view observation will allow you to see what's creeping up behind you. And how many of us slip over the 70mph on a motorway. Certainly on a few forum meets I have been on we have accidentally creped over the limit for the type of road we are on. Now the phoo phooers will say its illegal ect. Oh no it isn't. Because its been tuned for all emergency frequency channels so you can em um move out the way when you hear the beep As to price, well the original was about £800 but the lab rats are developing a version for about £50 that just plugs straight into the 12v power socket. At the extreme end of the market is an EMP (electro magnetic pulse) system that can actually be purchased by Joe public. But unless your a Bank Robber I can't see why you would want one fitted to your car. All of the above is really for us gadget freaks who like our toys.
  6. Love it. i sent my bro txt to tell him about it today, and i said 'You can do the welding, the engine work, fix the rust, paint it, and do the suspension. I'll give it a good detail.' I'm aiming to be more of a Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage instead of Mike Brewer. What sit on ya butt and let the Monkeys do the work? Luv it
  7. The 350 Gt wheel was £1130 from Nissan in December 2011
  8. Reminds me of the time I worked for a large national bakery....the same bread would go into bags of many different brands! I always use Shell V-Power Nitro by the way Does that not make the bags soggy though?
  9. I don't usually get involved in this debate as there is no known answer, however! I have always up to 2 months ago run mine on V power but was given some Tesco fuel vouchers so had a few tank fills. After about 100 miles the car seemed to be a bit slow on pick up more of a noticeable pause before picking up. I kept running it on Tesco and looked for faults elsewhere. And on several occasions I had a P3010 error code come up. For those of you that are not aware this is not I believe a Nissan code but a generic code for most makes indicating a fault with the fuel coolant relay or something along those lines. I went into wtf mode and started to look for things fearing the worst. Not sure how it happened but I went back to V Power and not once has the error code come back and the car has come back to life. Breed into that what you will:)

  14. I checked up and found that in USA the people on Death's row are given something to calm them.
  15. Albert Pierrepoint (The last UK Hangman) wrote in his memoirs that the majority of people about to be hanged became very subdued. Even trance like and very subservient as if adopting this behavior would win them a last min reprieve, or wake them from a long nasty dream! We also have no idea if they are not sedated in some way. There was no mention of it in his book or the film "Let Him Have It"! There must be some way of checking?

  18. I'm right handed, but wear my watch on the same arm. Never bothered me I have 3 U-Boat Classico's all of which have the controls on the left side, and I am right handed. I suppose people will just take it off to work the functions. Otherwise its going to be a pain in the jack until your used to it.
  19. I have to admit it is nice. But like Wasso I will wait till next year for the vented.
