  1. The guy in the US sat in his car wearing one looks like he's just about to rob a bank, he's lucky an armed response unit don't jump on him.
  2. What happened to investing in property? On a serious note, there is a Porsche specialist in Knutsford that will do pre purchase inspections. http://www.sportsandclassic.com/index.php?page=about I nearly bought a 997 before the E type and Ekona was great taking time to pm me loads of helpful info.
  3. I think it looks better in this pic
  4. The only thing I can think of is trying to find something that would normally be a permanent live like the starter solenoid and power it up from there. I.e from under the car?
  5. We actually had a lwb rear exhaust section fitted to our swb VW transporter by mistake. No problem until it failed the MOT, so just had to cut 6" off.
  6. Brilliant thanks for posting. Grinding and spot weld drilling look all too familiar. Love the fabrication work.
  7. I've actually managed to get some more done. The problem is the more I do, the more I find to do. Here's a bit of an update for the patient die hard followers...... It's no longer a Flintstones mobile, the new floors are now in but need some more welding. I was hoping to save the sills but unfortunately they had been patched up at some point in the past. Until you start stripping things all this is invisible. Added to this in order to repair the inner sill strengtheners, the outer sills would have to come off, so why not do it properly. First sign of corrosion having got hold.. This would mean a bit of Bizz style engineering ( a bit of old cardboard and a roll of sticky tape ), First, cut off more metal Then have your local laser cutter make these for you... And then simply weld them in place.. Aiming to get the other side done over Christmas and finish the floors. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
  8. I bought mine a frying pan 15 years ago and she still hasn't forgiven me!
  9. Exactly what I need for the heater pipes on the E type Octet. I'm struggling to get a very small radius bend in 1/2" pipe. All the repro pipes are very poor quality and seem to be made with basic plumbing tools!
  10. From the AA guide to jump starting. http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/breakdown_advice/using-jumpleads.html Likewise, Haynes guide. www.haynes.co.uk/press/Releases_contents/050630_JumpLeadsPR.pdf‎
  11. I was beginning to wonder too! I think the gain is quite reasonable and as you say perhaps the air intake is losing you a few hp. Main thing is you feel that it drives better. Glad you're still enjoying it and look forward to further installments .
  12. You're not moonlighting at the local Jag dealership as Father Christmas for extra cash are you Dave?
  13. That's interesting on the M.O.T. , the "odometer history", is that a new thing? Good idea though so you can see the mileage is genuine.
  14. Glad you're pleased, looking forward to full update
  15. No problem just transfer £3,600 to our dedicated Nigerian scam asset recovery legal department and we'll get your money back. No win no fee (back)
  16. I know it's a repost but it's still funny. What you need is a Trunk Monkey.....
