  1. I say deduct Neil 1000 posts for spamming
  2. Don't get that one Paul my phone call came out of the blue and I was shocked. But again I'm an old fart. Hahaha....you know what I actually typed '.....already fairly easy going and responsible in the first place like ChrisS' but then I deleted it! The theory's not Really proven yet......I'll report back after the next mod is appointed with the results of this social experiment
  3. Never heard such a load of jive in my life. So they're basically saying you could never sell a car with finance on it....bull. You just need to be with the chimp when he pays it off with your money as you conclude the sale. Good luck with the hunt
  4. To be fair you can spot who the next mod is likely to be. Theres a totally marked change in behaviours in the months running up (well if said person isn't already fairly easy going and responsible in the first place).
  5. With that big hairy lump provided its been looked after it should go galactic
  6. I think the problem is those that 'want' arent necessarily best suited to the job. I mean could you imagine you or me as a moderator???? You'd be offerering everyone who gets out of line outside for a straightener and I'd violently abuse any newbie who ever asked a question without searching first....possibly involving knob glassings. Some are born to moderate......others are born to create crap to moderate......this is Gods will Neily and you should respect it or the lord will smite thee with fire and brimstone

    Like lead....normal
  8. I'm sure every great dictator of the world told his countrymen this when in power Someone get round to Neil's house quick......husky has hacked his account!
  9. Neilp Imbalance? Definition of IMBALANCE : lack of balance : the state of being out of equilibrium or out of proportion Haha....unlucky Rothers.....I think I know where you were coming from, I thought it was inbalance too but Neil's superior command of English has owned you! I think this is a good idea in theory until some rogue agent gets elected into the team and causes havoc.....bit like the raving loony party actually getting into number 10

    Wrapping roof

Have a crack if you've tried smaller things mate.....only one way to learn. Biscuit will be able to provide some advice and wrap styles.
  11. Your looking at around 400-420 fitted Just a polite nudge.....all of this information is available at least 100 times over if you use the search. Just to put the frustration in perspective this is at least the 3rd time this exact question has been asked in the last 7-10 days
  12. Not really that dodgy though is it? Did you ask if there was finance outstanding (fair play if you did...that's dodgy) ? He may have the full intention of paying it off upon sale.

    Wrapping roof

I think djtimo did........it ended up screwed up on the floor.....I think he stamped on it too. Wrapping is a proper skill.....personally I'd sling it to a pro unless your really confident. Rtbiscuit can provide the wrap most likely.
  14. I nominate sarnie, husky, da whip, frog speed and stormgirl as the new admins
  15. 28 posts in and the most sensible thing anyone has said. It's amazing how all thoughs 10 quid here and 10 quid there tools rack up when you realise you've not got the right socket or spanner. Thing is, you've gotta start somewhere right? it was advised somewhere to get a starter kit and then get the tools I need when I need them. I've found a few golf mk3s now that are about £200-£400, like this one: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p opinions? Of coursenp bud.... I just mean don't think that an 80 quid starter kit is anywhere near enough to get you through a restoration. I've had so many Sunday trips to hellfrauds to pick 101 little bits and bobs of tools Toolstation and eBay are great for picking up cheap stuff.....Toolstation really shows up how much the likes of hellfrauds and b&q mark up the stupid little bits and pieces like bolts and washers etc
  16. 3 things 1. What kind of criminal let's an Aston get into that state. 2. What an amazing turnaround 3. Think I just did a sex wee
  17. Is it when you put your air con on? Sometimes that gets a bit whiffy in damp weather
  18. Plus a fricking million!

  20. Agreed ....never really weighed in on the debate as I don't know enough but it all sounds a bit hard to swallow

    + 1 Me no likey
  22. Mx5 is clearly an easy choice but it can get expensive of you do intend to shift it on after and the hoods goosed......looking at the thick and of 350 quid. Other than that I think they're pretty cheap parts wise and loads of room in the engine.
  23. Looking lovely. I don't normally like custard but that's cool. Think it must be the black roof.
  24. I love the google maps directions 'mordor'.....nice to see some companies still have a sense of humour! http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&tab=wl#bmb=1
