  2. Took me till 2005 to get any form of broadband, having been on dialup since 1993. I'm 7k from the exchange and my broadband was initially 0.5 megs. BT have now upgraded the old wires and I'm now getting 3 megs. I'm lucky though my nearest neighbour has a different exchange and he only gets 0.25 megs, BT won't switch him onto my exchange because he would become an anomaly as he lives 75 metres over the boundary... Pete
  3. What I hate about the winter are the 18 hours of darkness every day , but hey we're through the worst of it now . Pete
  4. A masterpiece Not too sure about the Tapeworm though Pete

    puncture

I had a similar thing some time ago but on the front. I just replaced the one tyre, the other one was maybe 20-25% worn, both tyres are still on there after a further 5k. I'll replace them both when the older one wears out though. Pete
  6. That's just down the road, been past it a few times. For sale for a few months, thought it would have been snapped up by now because it looks really nice and GT4's are pretty rare. Pete

  8. Yeah, my average since the computer reset itself when I changed the battery 4k miles ago is 27.1, for the 5k before that it was 26.2. I'm very easy on the car and tend not to do runs of less than 10 miles. We cleaned Caroline's roadster today and I see she's at 21.4 but she only does 6 miles a day in fairly heavy traffic. I have to say that the Celica T-Sport I had before the Zed only got 29.2 over 17k in the 4 years I had it. Pete
  9. That's what I thought, must be an ambassador or something Pete
  10. Not surprised by the Lotus performance, they weigh next to nothing and when you see the Zed and the Lotus together you realize just how small they are.. Nice looking car apart from the rather bland and basic interior. Your rear spoiler has turned black since I last saw the car, looks good! Pete
  11. There are also different specs for models MY03 ? 2003-March 2006, I've seen some imported models on 52 plates and there are almost certainly a number of 06 reg'd MY03's about and possibly a few 56's. GT4 versions are MY03's. Quite likely that some MY03's have been kitted out to look like later versions. MY06 April 2006, A very small number of 55 reg'd models knocking about. MY07 ? 2007 onwards, I've seen a 59 reg'd Zed, someone here reported seeing a 10 model. JDM's have several specs from the looks of it, not sure about Republic of Ireland imports. Pete
  12. Looks good, nice colour, price a little high but not that bad. No mention of service history, should have 4 by now, check with the dealer. It'll be in the higher tax bracket but it's the Facelift model. No major problems as long as servicing has been done, minor ones include gearchange from 1 to 2 is clunky when cold, Bose CD Player skips tracks till it warms up, Axles click sometimes. Good luck and welcome to the forum Pete
  13. Whoa, how did you do that second pic . Also, have you got any square on photos of the rear end, I'd like a good look at that diffuser. Cheers, Pete
  14. As others have pointed out there's very little to chose performance wise between the three different engine specs. Interior on the 06 models onwards is better though, and also the front and rear lights are a big improvement . 07 onwards models have the bonnet bulge. As far as the lower tax bracket of pre March 2006 models, then yes its nice to have but there's no guarantee that it'll continue at this rate forever. Pete
  15. Yeah, missed that, indeed very low miles, make sure it has a service record and check out the number of previous owners and if possible check out The M.O.T certificates to make sure the mileage is genuine. I think you can check a cars MOT history online with a small payment. Pete
  16. Remember it well, I was at Anfield that day, didn't have a car radio back then but we stopped to pick up the pink Football Echo to get all the scores and that was the first I knew of it. Terrible tragedy. Pete
  17. Cayman is clearly the winner for me, the only problem I'd have would be that I'd want a new one 370Z would be more realistic and more in my price range. Not really sure about the TT, the old style one we had was nothing but trouble to be honest. The new models look good, but have that corporate Audi look to them and there are millions of them about. Not planning to change for a long time yet though, not much point really haven't even reached 10k yet Pete
  18. Happy New Year everyone Pete
  19. If you have the original disk, boot it off that then select the repair option, unfortunately not many manufacturers give you a windows disk these days, there's usually a hidden partition on your hard disk containing the O/S. Pete
  20. Front End is worse than ...Back end is actually quite good . Pete
