  1. D- No, raise it to 80 though G- A bit too severe. The way to stop mobile phone use is to a) Increase the points to 6 and increase the fine to £500, confiscate the phone or c) both of those and d) anyone caught texting while driving, a 12 month ban It's a very dangerous practice that needs to be stamped out Drink driving laws need a bit of tweaking for sure.... H - Yes, I wouldn't mind paying some extra cash to get the scum off the streets. I'm not keen on the idea of capital punishment though. The main problem is that the traditional flog 'em, hang 'em party don't really care, saving money is now more important than protecting the public. That's very true, criminals operate on the premise that they won't get caught. We need stiffer sentences to keep them off the street. You see, one of the problems we have is our justice system. You can break into peoples homes, steal their cars make your neighbours lives a misery and you'll get 6 months (eventually) but if you dare to swindle an insurance company and it makes the headlines (canoe man) you get 5 years. Pete
  2. Yes, I think they are extremely rare, I didn't even know they existed . Found one that's recently been sold in Glasgow though... http://www.s1cars.com/cars-for-sale/det ... id=3243925 Pete
  3. First thing is to ask the dealer what sort of service record it has. It should have 2 and be due for a third. Maybe somebody local to you will have a look at it for you...looks O.K to me though. Pete
  4. Wow, that's amazing, they only give out G.C's to the very, very exceptional. Pete
  5. They haven't grown up with traffic like we have. Pedestrians just wander around aimlessly or stand in the middle of the road . Crazy.... Pete
  6. We love newcomers here , why not start a new thread and tell us something about yourself and your Zed? Some pics of your Zed would go down nicely as well Welcome Pete
  7. No Caroline thought it was awful Pete
  8. Well, I was in Wrexham today....but mine's nice and clean Pete
  9. That is so gorgeous , why couldn't Nissan be a bit more adventurous with their colours. Pete
  10. Yeah, mine's been notchy from brand new, it improves as the car warms up but even then its not as smooth as it should be. My wife's roadster has the same notchy second gear but it completely goes away after a couple of miles . I've no idea if Nissan made any changes to the gear box on the later models, could just be differences from car to car. I've learned to live with it, just making the gear change a bit slower will mask it to a degree, anyway, it's nothing to be concerned about. Pete
  11. Not many have. The company that distributed the game went bust just as it came out, so the commercial version is impossible to find here. You can download it at £19.99 or better still get it from EBay its much cheaper in DVD format with the 3D glasses. Don't buy a used version though, once the key has been used then its forever linked to that user. I also forgot to mention that once you have the commercial version then it updates to the newer version which includes a free track pack with another 147 tracks. . The game was developed in France and has a huge following on the continent, over 8 million users of the free version, 300k users of the commercial one. Well worth a look at the free version, it's about a 900mb download. Pete

    My new Zed

Looks really good. How does it wire into the Nurrish Nav? Thanks, Pete
  13. I guess a lot of people here like racing games but has anyone here tried TrackMania? It'll play on just about any PC and best of all there's a free version available . This isn't a demo or a time limited game. It comes with 65 tracks, Internet play, ladder system and uses a medal system for opening "locked" tracks. There's a track editor and more . The free version is called "TrackMania Nations Forever" and is available from here. I was amazed that this was being given away as the game play and graphics are superb. http://www.trackmania.com/ There's also a commercial version called "TrackMania United Forever" that has a further 147 tracks with different types of tracks, snow, rally, desert, etc. plus there are thousands of user made tracks to download. They give you the free version to lure you into buying this but I can honestly say it's the best tenner I've ever spent on a game. The commercial version has World, Country and Region rankings and records, skinning of cars, etc, etc, lots to get your teeth into Pete
  14. Yeah, expect it to be very cold and snowy, you won't want to be outside for long Nice place, English is spoken by most people under 30 and there's lots to see and do. Hotels close to the Charles Bridge are quite expensive but eating out is very cheap. Taxi's are cheap compared with London but the standard of driving is Take one of the trams, its safer Well worth taking a river cruise if it's in operation and like other big foreign cities watch out for pickpockets. Pete
