When you say the mx5 mk2 is dated. Do you mean the mk 2 or 2.5? The mk2 looks awesome in my opinion. 2.5 looks a bit poo imo.

1. Who fitted them? Was it done correctly? 2. Have deposits built up on the discs. Usually reversing and then braking to remove them can help. Have to do it a few times to get rid of it.

The fact it is hard wired makes that option unlikely I would think. Does the indicator light up at all? Daytime running lights fitted? Not if it was wired up to a device the beamed the signal from the front bumper.
