  1. Unless it's something obvious, like your intake hanging off and screwing with the maf, you're not going to know until you hook it up to read the fault codes. Most places should be able to do that without getting too hands on, giving you the option to go elsewhere when you identify the fault. Don't assume it's 'bad fuel' just because that's when it appeared to start playing up. There will have been hundreds of vehicles through the same station and if there had been a problem to that extent it would probably have made the news! Hope it gets sorted without too much bother.
  2. Massively increased volumes of mail at this time of year, and with the weather causing problems don't expect anything soon. Unofficially, Royal Mail have called 29th November "Black Monday".
  3. Yes, interest expressed, I thank you.
  4. I'm half hour away and it's been well below overnight, but no snow as yet. So let's be careful out there See you tomorrow guys.
  5. Any reason why this has been brought forward half an hour? Not icy enough for you at 10?
  6. If it's there, it should be in the storage box/cubby that is the armrest at the rear of the centre console. It's fixed and wired right through the middle of the floor of the compartment and is a good 3"x2" or thereabouts. Frankly, if you've missed that, it sounds like it's not there.
  7. Mines fitted to the rear panel in the spare wheel well. I agree, the picture is a bit vague but it looks to be in that area. As long as everything reaches it won't matter that much as the buzzer is VERY loud. I ended up putting a piece of tape over the hole on the buzzer to tone it down a bit, works well (and I have a tonneau divider). Just a tip if you have the same issues with volume.
  8. I got one from R35LEE (after a wait, as he's v.busy) or, of course:
  9. Sorry, don't know mate. Maybe stick jdm in the title to attract other owners who can help. Sounds like it depended on market, UK cup holder to '06, card slot after. JDM maybe blank.
  10. Cup holder is under the sliding lid behind the gear lever, using the partition plate. The door cards have bottle holders. 06 onwards. See section 2-30 onwards in the handbook.
  11. Later models this was replaced with a business card drawer, push to open.
  12. And just to clarify, is Vince taking three spots at 18, 19, 20, or is that just a typo? Could be an opportunity for another place for someone otherwise.
  13. Just checked the hand book and it doesn't mention this 'feature', so great spot, had bugged me for a while. Thanks for posting
  14. But the Larkspeed ad says: "WILL NOT FIT IMPORTED MODELS" I have no idea myself, flagging it up just in case......

    Re-Map

Saw your posts recently about HR mapping, what kind of figures are you getting Mark? As I understand, a couple of decent panel filters in the stock air boxes, say K & N, are good enough, but is any other gain dependent on changing/modifying the exhaust? Do they tend to give the quoted 309hp standard or not? Thanks for the input, interesting stuff...

    DOH!

You can get solar powered, but I'm assuming your basement parking is enclosed?
  17. I can't see an obvious reason for the different camber and toe-in readings between the two pages. Are they different models Alex?
  18. I just bought one........£4.87 ten quid obviously too much now Gonna strap it to my helmet this winter .........snowboarding...

    Alfa 8C

This is my old black one, before I upgraded to the Z............ But seriously, it was at an Alfa event a couple of years ago when I had a 3.0 916GTV.
  20. Others, there may be more Black - Ebisu Orange - Temper Dark Blue - Night Blue Sorry don't knoe the codes Black - Black Pearl - Metallic - G41 Maybe only '07 onwards. .
  21. Had me worried for a bit then. I always leave the battery out of my spare so that it is fresh should I need it. A lot of people have problems with their spare keys as they live in a drawer for years and the battery goes flat. Come the time you need it (when your everyday key battery eventually dies) and it's no good. Just installed my battery after 6 months and spare works fine. Had the main out for longer than 30 seconds easily, and that's fine aswell. Maybe the keys were improved over time. (Mines a 313).
  22. Oh joy. Further to my last post, it clearly states having re-read my warranty booklet that: (Page 3) 1. NISSAN PAN EUROPE WARRANTY INFORMATION 1.3 PERFORATION FROM CORROSION WARRANTY ...."This warranty requires that the vehicle is inspected according to the inspection schedule on pages 38-50, and repaired if necessary, by an authorised Nissan dealer." 2. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT NISSAN PAN EUROPE WARRANTY 2.10 WHAT YOU MUST DO 5. As for the Paint Warranty and the Perforation From Corrosion Warranty, the following things must be done additionally: ...."* Have the annual paint inspection carried out and documented on pages 42-50;" So, not only do some dealers not know what they are talking about (no real surprise there), but more worryingly, Nissan Customer Care have no idea what the terms of their own warranties are. I think I'd feel happier cutting all ties with the idiots, saves the heartache of having to deal with the tw@ts if something does go wrong. Anyway, hope your repairs go smoothly Alex and nothing else bubbles up any time soon.
  23. Interesting. I called my local dealer and then Nissan customer care as my 'bodywork' stamps in the back of the warranty booklet start at 3 years and annually thereafter, (not 3,6,9) and my z is coming up on 3 years. I assumed that it would need an annual inspection and stamp to maintain the body warranty, as per a service history and stamps to maintain the 3 year mechanical warranty, but I am assured that this is not the case and the 12 year body warranty stands irrespective. The pages in the booklet appear to be for the garages amusement should they feel the need during a routine service. However, this didn't stop the dealer trying to book it in for this 'phantom' inspection at my cost, as this appeared to be what I wanted. Hence my call to Nissan. Anyway, panic over, body warranted for a further 9 years irrespective of inspection according to Nissan. Maybe explains why they agreed to pay for Alex's repairs without any hassle, and it's the dealer that got it wrong about the stamps or lack of.
