    and still had the problem in most cases ... bushes are easy to diagnose, ball joint is very difficult so if the mechanic can't find the problem, it's usually the ball joint One way (the only way imo) to check is to drive slowly over a bumpy road and left foot brake whilst maintaining speed ... if the knocking stops then it's the ball joint

    Just ticked over 60k Well that's about the right time for compression rod ball joint to go so I'd try a new compression rod first

    I think it's something to do with the spring and damper acting along the same axis on true coil overs whereas in the 350 set up there will be some induced bending stress in the bit that's between the axis of the spring and the axis of the damper

    My guess (as usual) is it's the compression rod ball joint ... you'll haver to replace I'm afraid ... Alex will sort one out for you

    It'll be the ball joint on the B A N A N A B A R LHS probably Notoriously difficult to diagnose and does often sound like something in the steering rack Remedy - replace the side you think it's most likely to be - new arms available from traders here
