  1. Thank you to the tidy looking Silver 350Z that let me turn into Hewett Rd and into the Gapton Hall Ind Est this morning

    10mm bolts

10mm? Know wonder the Z is so heavy.... You mean M6?
  3. Bit of history for you http://zhome.com/History/FairladyName.html
  4. I'll be honest, I've only read a few of the posts and haven't even bothered with the youtube clip. Should she have been eating a bowl of cereal whilst driving? Legally? But hey, I don't know the law on this. What's the distinction between stuffing your face and texting at the wheel? My wife was a passenger in a stationary car when a young woman rear ended the car she was in. Police report cited the cause to be texting at approx 40mph. Some have said she was only traveling at 3mph ish...for all the journey? So that makes it OK? I'm currently working in Singapore where the law has very distinct boundaries and few 'grey' areas. Get caught using your phone, even at 'only 3mph', and it's 6 points from a maximum of 24 and your phone is taken off you there and then to end up in a landfill site! No ifs, no buts.
  5. I'd say that's pretty normal for the 370, especially when cold or on initial start up with the higher engine revs...it'll be labeled as 'character' if you go and see a Nissan dealership Nothing to worry about IMHO, at least you can rest assured it's going to me more reliable than a manual box And here we go.....
  6. As above, decent products with good performance. I regularly use the Tough Coat on my wheels with very good results
  7. I'm just about to pull the pin on the Meister R GT-1, having read ALL the reviews by all accounts a pretty decent bit of kit.
  8. And the bonnet of a 370Z is made from laminated Unicorn horn...it really is that much better
  9. Whilst in South Korea I watched their TG version, couldn't understand a single word but it was hilarious! They even attempted to get the 3 guys to look like and dress like Clarkson and co...that was funny enough on its own.
  10. Mmmm...gonna have to cry off. I'm working around Asia and Oz until mid August, but I'm more than willing to throw a BBQ at my place upon my return. Feel pretty safe with that as 'no one in Norfolk ever turns up for meets...' Seriously though the offer's there, I'm in Dereham so geographically speaking that's the pretty much the centre of the county, good access just off the A47
  11. Well there's some reasons why 'we' don't meet...change the venue!
  12. You really want to travel Gt Yarmouth on a BH weekend, along the Acle straight at an average speed of 12mph, to the biggest cul-de-sac in the UK?
  13. Jeeez, that's steep! Anyway, you've done good so far, lots of good advice cos that's what this forum does best so let us know when you've got the screw out
  14. For future ref; if you snap either an easy out or a tap then you'll require a Solid Carbide Screw (Tap) Drill, and a little bit of know-how...unless your real handy with Electrodischarging Machining, EDM However, as has been advised sooo mtimes already Torx-30 bit is the way to go, as long as you've 30 seconds to spare cos that's all it's gonna take!
  15. 23 years in the 'Aviation Industry' and close on 10 in a marine environment and I've never seen a damaged Ti-Alloy fastener. With an ultimate tensile strength in the region of 30,000 (cheap 'n nasty)-200,000psi (aerospace quality) I think you'll experience tool failure before the fastener gives out Tap a T30 Torx bit in nice and gentle, the T30 comes up at approx 5.4mm. With a tapered 'easy out' as per the link above you'll have to drill the screw head to to a greater depth, even then you'd be better off with a parallell easy out as opposed to the tapered version as it has a far greater surface contact area. Just go for it, you'll enjoy doing it yourself and you'll wonder what all the drama was about, make sure you purchase a new screw first
  16. For best results do the above whilst the components are hot, assuming the body is aluminium as this has a greater linear coefficient of expansion when compared to brass
  17. You could try a Torx Driver bit, a T30 should be good. Tap it in gently and square on, no probs
  18. I fitted the Ings splitter, the cars lowered on Ark Gt-F springs and to date I've not had any issues. I just wanted something different, I'm also considering the TS splitter. Again, something different...
  19. Awesome wheels and at that price I'll take a pair as a winter set when the 19's arrive.
  20. You can't go wrong from there...enjoy the first roundabout
  21. No probs asking, but as for prices you'll be best looking at the traders sites we have on here...as I honestly can't remember, sorry. Most parts were supplied by Tarmac, Clark Motorsport, and CS, all of which offer the best service and advice coupled with very fast delivery. All parts were fitted by myself, which I guess saves a fair wedge, however the most expensive component was the Ings rep lip! I kinda bolted on a 'job lot' really all at the same time, drilled and vented discs all round, hawk ceramic pads (awesome, plus almost zero dust) and some other smaller bits 'n pieces. As in the previous posts, these mods really do improve the handling, the most significant improvement coming from the ARB's IMO. With the other mods I've done the car is about where I want it, even sounds good!
  22. I've fitted the Eibach ARB's front and rear, Whiteline Drop Links and ARK-GTF springs, SPL adjustable camber arms and toe bolts, wheel spacers etc...followed by the obligatory 4 wheel alignment. First thing I noticed was the much improved stance, and as at other previous posts the car is now a lot more 'planted' with far less body roll and more feed back. It really does feel a lot more responsive and greatly improved. To date the only part bits that 'rub' are the deflectors in front of the wheels, I've removed the front air dam anyway to make way for an Ings lip, which thankfully to date is scuff free!

    Brake Pads

As above, very happy with performance and even more so with the lack of brake dust that they generate!

    Sesanta Ultrac

In a word, 'yes'. I'd previously run the Sessanta on my 350 and was very impressed with them, when the time came for replacement tyres on the 370 I went for the Vorti. Bearing in mind that I was comparing them to the OE Bridgestones, which at this stage were well past their best at 3mm on the rears, they were a revelation. They are considerably quieter, the 'tram-lining' issues were totally banished, and the outright grip both wet and dry was also vastly improved. Above all I particularly like the predictability, with the ESP turned off they are very forgiving and hold no surprises. Now, as stated I was comparing them to tyres that had just been removed and at that stage even Nippon No Grip Slide-Masters would have been an improvement. This has to be considered when giving any review on tyre performance etc and I feel that this is often overlooked. However I honestly feel that the Vorti's are superior in all areas except maybe for longevity...you can't have everything as there has to be a trade off, the Sessantas were good for about 9K. Although I don't consider price to be an issue when purchasing new tyres, at £680 delivered I was again impressed. Would I buy them again? Yes, and I believe there is now a Vorti 'R' version.
