  3. Yes, it looks like as few of the dearlers have some stock to move I have been hagling with Glyn Hopkins with a used 370z Roadster in white with every extra but they have valued my car with 42,000 miles and mine has done 16,000 the salesman keeps showing me the price in the book but I keep telling he needs to adjust the offer for the lower milage but he just will not listen.
  4. If your not happy at work I would think about a change of jobs I would start looking without anybody knowing getting some interviews lined up first.
  5. Not near Bedford but not too far away and there work can only be described as outstanding. B-Trim just off the M25 http://www.b-trim.co.uk/
  6. glad I just saw this thread as I dropped mine Sunday and it had a little bit of a problem I have not seen anything in my manual about it though so now I have nothing to worry about.
  7. It took me 4 months to find my car I travelled from London to Hull to view it then back again to pick it I have a german car also and for the smile factor and performance it's the Zed every time. Keep looking your car is out there
  8. I have a relative who works for a DVLA contractor in North London they have eight vans equipt with numberplate recognision cameras on each corner of the roof every day they drive down side streets detecting untaxed and uninsured vehicles they even have the power now to remove cars on a house driveway it does not have to be parked in the road.
  9. I sold my Yamaha R6 a couple of years ago her in doors hated me driving it and it was only a matter of time before I lost my license so in the summer months I use for work a Suzuki AN400 it's a twist and go that tops 100mph seats 2 comfortably and stick the helmets under the seat if you want to walk around somewhere they really are worth considering. Also the insurance is £95 full comp and tax £32
  10. I take my camera every time I go out I have probably thousands of shots having digital camera now is a god send you can just click away download the pictures to the PC and delete what you don't want. You want to try motion blurring the simplest method is find a stream somewhere with water running over rocks or a road over a motorway your going to need a tripod for slow shutter work don't cheap out on a cheap tripod buy as good as you can afford. just set your camera up if your going to try the motorway pictures onto shutter priorty and try different shutter speeds you will see the lights blurring on the cars to form a trail I use the A40/M40 a lot for my traffic pictures on summer evenings the sun sets straight at the end of the motorway so I can catch some stunning shots. I have mntioned this site before and I can not recommend it enough http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech.htm.
  11. don't think you will ever find an Austin Healey 3000 for that price maybe double it. Don't forget how many of these cars will be written off or broken in another 10 years I'm not being biased but in my mind the convertable will hold the most value out of the two as there were less sold so will be harder to find long term. My brother still owns a Datsun 240Z he's had it since the eighties and it's mint but when I get in and have a drive of it I cannot get out of it quick enough no power steering no electrics and a rough ride not for me! bye the way I have a garage load of parts for a 240Z if anybody is after something
  12. It will be a classic for sure unfortunaly by the time it is (about 25 to 30 years) I may not be around. I have had many now true classics that were not when I had them ie, Mk1 and 2 Escort Mexicos and RS 2000's, TR6, Datsun 240z,260z and 260z+2, BMW2002Tii, Mercedes SL250 Pagoda and the rearest an Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider only 26 right hand drives made I sold them all at the going rate at the time boy do I wish I kept the Merc now fetching £50,000 and the Alfa probably I could name my price.
  13. anybody know the story with this Temper Orange http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2417050.htm
  14. I would love to have the Orange when I bought my roadster nothing like that was around then a week after I bought a Gun Metal I found a dealer selling an Orange I was gutted but that's sods law I have yet to see an Orange on the road yet but can imagine they look the part in the summer sun defo go for Orange!
  15. If you liked them that much, you could always put the OEM ones in at MOT time. (5 min job) yes, get hit up the backside because the driver didn't see the brake lights and see if your insurace will pay out ( I think not)

    Insurance Heist

program on the other night an elderly woman has been insured with Tesco for years she went to renew her policy and they told her they do not insure N12 (Tottenham) post code as it's a high risk area, I think this insurance lark is getting a joke.
  17. to be legal they must show a reflector and also the MOT station may pull them up if the indicators etc are not bright enough
  18. today I got this email I have already sent it to every person I know if you want to as well just copy and paste it into your email Please read this before deleting, it is worth considering Please see what you think and pass it on if you agree with it. We are hitting £129.9 a litre in some areas now and soon we will be faced with paying £1.50 perlitre. So here is a good idea: This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the 'don't buy petrol on a certain day campaign' that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to hurt ourselves by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it was a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a plan that can really work. Please read it and join in! Now that the oil companies and the OPEC nations have conditioned us to think that the cost of a litre is CHEAP, we need to take aggressive action to teach them that BUYERS - not sellers control the market place. With the price of petrol going up more each day, we consumers need to take action. The only way we are going to see the price of petrol come down is if we hit someone in the pocket by not purchasing their petrol! And we can do that WITHOUT hurting ourselves. Here's the idea: For the rest of this year DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest oil companies (which now are one) i.e. ESSO and BP. If they are not selling any petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an impact we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers. It's really simple to do!! Now, don't wimp out on me at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I am sending this note to a lot of people. If all of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)....and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on. By the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all YOU have to do is send this to 10 people. That's all (and not buy at ESSO/BP). How long would all that take? If each of us sends this email out to ten more people within one day of receipt, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next 8 days!!! Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you, please pass this message on. PLEASE HOLD OUT UNTIL THEY LOWER THEIR PRICES It's easy to make this happen. Just forward this email, and buy your petrol at Shell,Asda,Tesco, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Jet etc. i.e. Boycott BP and Esso
  19. My brother is a Black cab driver in London he's had to pop into this garage in Chelsea but only ever puts a fiver in to get him to the next garage not like this wealthy customer http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ation.html
