At least wait a minimum of a few years and see what the prices are looking like, given the petrol prices WILL go back up then a 5l v8 will become not very desirable and prices will prob take a nose dive so you might be able to get one for under 10k

It may seem like the boring option but listen to your folks, they're giving you good solid advice.

Mate don't do just yet, get on the property ladder first IMO. As said previously after a few months it will just be the norm and not an excitement. At least with the property market you will be making money instead of pissing away a shed load on a depreciating asset. I was in the same position but decided to keep the zed and stay debt free now I have just bought my first place and can now look into getting something else. And getting into debt makes a massive difference on mortgage applications etc.

I'm defiantly jonesing for a GTR now, Ive been looking at the finances over that past few weeks and its not a million miles away. the only thing thats been holding me back was waiting to buy my first place but i moved in just before xmas so it getting tempting. Liking the sound of that MeisterR aswell

here is how i wired mine up, Red to white with silver tracer Black to the Black Orange to the green with silver marker All together looks like this on the main window switch connector not the mirror plug.

dont strip the dash, no need. there is defiantly a switch live and a permanent live to the window switches. ill take some pics tomorrow for you of mine. worst comes to it I'm not a million miles from you just off j17 on the M25 so maybe i can lend a hand.

I haven't got a pic of the wiring for the switch, I had to use a multimeter to find out what was what as like you said no obvious markers as to what did what, I didn't bother with the light wire, just taped it up and left it in there.

Good work! That's the same place I have my gauge mounted. Where did you get your power source from? I just wired it into the window switch

remove the battery, disconnect a few of the coil packs, unplug the throttle body unplug the MAF. if you have the tools id be looking to take off the steering wheel personally, Do you have key cover on your insurance? also another cars in the house? might be worth trying to box in the zed if possible.
