I see a pattern forming. Yeah I believe they need tightening from time to time especially when new. They tighten up a lot when warm so you don't wanna over-tighten it when cold. A tiny squeak on start-up occasionally is fine. I think mine has well finished stretching as I don't think its ever been replaced! Something on my list of things to do. I just wish you could buy parts for these things over here! I would have replaced them long ago It took nearly 4 weeks for me to get a new oil feed nozzle for it when mine cracked!

I haven't owned an n/a Z to compare it to, but I can't say I've noticed it being slow to turn over. Mine did have a new battery not long before I bought it so maybe that helps. I have read that they can be slow due to the extra load of the s/c. I very occasionally get a half second squeal from the belt on a really cold day but never more than that.

OMG!! That is a steal!! Obviously more info is needed on the conversion but that appears to be great value. Anyone know who's it is or anything about it?

Congratulations on your purchase mate You've definitely gone about it the right way getting one already done, unless you have money to burn that is. I did the same when I got mine, I would have loved getting my hands dirty and building one myself but just could not justify the cost. As you said those that 'build' a car by handing over a wad of cash to someone else to do the work surely can't really claim that they built it anyway and is a very expensive way to do things. But I do appreciate that not everyone is into spannering and for those it's really the only option. I know your gonna love owning and driving your FI'd zed, I know just how your feeling as I did when I got mine If it weren't for FI I would never have had a 350z as the n/a just didn't do it for me and I would have missed out on owning a truly great car. Just out of interest, are you actually getting belt slip? It shouldn't really be an issue if your running the 3.33 pulley, which I thought you were. Or are you just making sure by adding the extra idler wheel?

I miss this from when I was active on the Supra forum. As above, it was very handy and was a place to show off mods and pictures.

Welcome to the club As others have said, I think you'll find the zed very slow. Have you driven one yet? If you really think that the lack of power won't bother you then you'll find the zed great to drive, but I fear for your wallet, as if not, the Zed is pretty pricey HP per £ on the mods. Have you considered one that has been FI'd ? Either a supercharger or turbo. Getting one that someone else has spent the money on if definitely the way to go in my opinion. A circa 400hp Zed should keep you interested and is a joy to drive.

+1 Supra modding scene is massive have a look on www.mkivsupra.net for a feel of the place. It is a very busy forum but is very friendly. There are very well established traders that people use but some of their prices can be a bit on the high side. If you can get your foot in there it could work well for you.

As its you I've taken a break from probably destroying the engine to take a few snaps They look better in the flesh but I was a bit ashamed of the bigger bolts after putting these on - nipped to Focus and shamone! Nice new shiny bolts too. Cheers.....Mmmmmm....shiny......must resist........

there are some nice kits out there, i might at some point use some parts from Arden, but its not my first priority with the car, and in some ways i'd actually like to keep it stock looking. Arden yep thats more like it! As you say though, each to their own. And if your after the stock look that's cool, much more gentlemanly.

Congrats on the purchase, especially as its one of your dream cars! Engine but as a few have said the body shape doesn't do it for me. I've always thought they sit like a roller-skate. Now if it was lowered with some sort of front apron and side skirts that would be a different matter!

We had an excellent time and considering the amount of us there, it was very well organised. I know they are GAY, but from a newbie point of view, some kind of name badge would have been good as it got a little embarrassing after about the 40th time of asking "So whats your forum name" trying to put faces to names.
