  1. Na, not a built engine. Just a low mileage stock DE at heart. It is really progressive. Not as scary/exciting as a turbo when all the torque comes online at once but much to my surprise, I think I prefer it. It makes it so much more predictable when pressing on. When over taking / driving in the wet you don't need to worry about breaking traction from a big unexpected surge of torque.(unless you want to that is ) Cheers Chris. I'm watching your thread with great interest (read jealousy ) Cheers
  2. Congratulations on your purchase. Have a look in the traders section on here, plenty of them can help with shiny bits There was a recent thread titled 'mods' with some suggestions of a few quick mods. Usual ones include; Stubby aerial (Honda s2000 type) Club stickers Tax disc holder Gear knob Wheel spacers Removal of front numberplate mount etc....
  3. Yeah, It'll do for now. You'll be next eh? I did have an uprated Uprev Maf fitted but suspected it wasn't 100%. Uprev have since brought out the improved GT Maf which apparently has better resolution. Good to know she's being looked after. Just wanna drive her again now.
  4. My Zed is with Mark at Abbey, I had a new Uprev GT MAF fitted after suffering a little flat spot I wasn't happy with. The new MAF meant that it had to be completely Re-mapped. Mark's emailed me the results and I'm pretty happy, hopefully my flat spot has gone and a nice bonus is that he's managed to get an extra 20 horses out of her. But more than that, there is a nice increase in torque along the whole curve which should be noticeable when pushing along. Results - 401.6 HP @ Hubs = approx 442 HP @ fly (450 for the Pub ) 336 lbft Torque The BLUE on the graph is the latest plot, the Yellow is last year.
  5. There seems be a pattern forming here... I actually don't like Rays normally, I think they are really boring and prefer the standard OEM wheels over the RAYS. However, for some reason (probably your colour combo) I think they really suit your car. I prefer them to your 19's. Maybe your 19's with a ginger rim and dish would look quite good?
  6. Looks like an alignment issue. How long ago was the alignment done? The uneven wear could have happened before the alignment was done from the worn bushes you obviously had.
  7. There is LOTS of information on this subject on here. A search fro Uprev would bring most of it up. As you've already spoken to abbey about this, have a read here viewtopic.php?f=114&t=38876 Its one of the better posts to explain the stuff your asking about. Also, you could give them an email or phone and I'm sure they would be more than happy to explain it all in a bit more detail for you. They are a friendly bunch. Also have a look on the Dyno threads for an idea of what mods and a uprev remap can achieve. However don't get hung up on the numbers. The transformation comes with the improved drive-ability. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=24431 viewtopic.php?f=25&t=26040
  8. Club MSV do taster sessions at a few tracks. £25 for 25mins. I done one at Snetterton last summer. If you live close by and just wanna do a few laps its fine (I think we done about 6) but personally I don't think its enough. It takes far longer than that to learn the track so you won't really get to push the car at all. I would think a MSV novice day would suit you well. They sometimes do am/pm sessions for a good price. Or if you can't get a date that suits, then an open pit day as Dan suggests would be the best bet.
  9. That's a good looking rust bucket. Nice safe numbers as well. Looks like a nice surge of Torque between 3500 and 4500 rpm.
  10. Better order myself a copy then for when I get home!

  12. I have a road angle and update my data base before every long journey, especially if I'm going on the M25 etc... almost every time I travel the M25 I get warned of different cameras that are in action. I believe they vary which gantry cameras are on on a regular basis. If it flashed at you it was on. However, there is no guarantee that it had film in it or it may have been full. Fingers crossed for you. We've all been there and its very easy to exceed the speed limit without realising.
  13. Sadly I'm away working or I might have popped along and said hello. How did you get on?
