  1. As all have said above, thats perfectly normal. Just for information, the temp gauge has a massive dampened zone in the middle. Once at the normal position even when the temps get 100+ C the needle hardly moves.
  2. Congratulations Will. It looks lovely.
  3. Good luck, and keep us informed of your progress. I'm sure I read somewhere that during your Servicings the 'bodywork' part of the book needs to be stamped or Nissan probably won't entertain the claim.
  4. Have a look here >>>>> viewtopic.php?f=23&t=56550
  5. Hi and to the club. Not much more to add to what has already been said above really. Your not gonna get 350bhp from an N/A Zed without very very deep pockets. NOS might get you 330-340 but if you want a consistent 350bhp you will need to go FI.
  6. A knackered battery does do funny thing on these cars, so could just need replacing. A battery left for 5 months isn't gonna be in a good state. However, sounds like it gone into limp mode if it won't let you rev. I would check the error codes and see what it says. If you don't know how, look in the guides section for resetting the ECU and the procedure is in there.
  7. Happens every 5 or 10 years, they get rid of the djs everyone likes to replace with new blood for the youngens. Not been the same since Steve wright left IMO lol And as for Westwood ! I can't think of anyone I dislike more, ever! His voice instantly makes me wanna destroy my radio with sledge hammer. Anyway, all the good ones end up on radio 2.
  8. As per diagram above. Rear Diff or front member between the two plastic covers. Don't use a trolley jack under the seal, you will crush/damage it. If you have to use a trolley jack under the seal, put a couple of bits of wood either side of the seam or a block of wood with a groove cut in it to protect it and spread the load. If your jack doesn't reach that far under then drive onto some blocks/bricks etc to raise the car a little then you should reach no bother.
  9. Looks like a bargain might have been had there. I can feel another epic build thread brewing.
  10. I actually like XJS's but not a fan of that twin headlight conversion.....Reminds me of .........

    Varrstoens are on

Again, love the wheels .........but too much stretch for my liking. Poor fitment and Handling aside, I think the only way you can pull off that much stretch, is if it's so low that the tyre is right up in the arch. And that's only do-able if you never drive anywhere.
  12. Very cool. Loving the red and white 240z I can't believe how dated the z31 looks now. My dad had one when I was a teenager and I thought it was the bollox. The 240 and 260 have held up so much better.
  13. That should have been your first post.
