  1. I've got a track day on wednesday and I've just fitted the new dba t2 discs with ferodo ds2500 pads. There is temperature monitoring paint on the discs but I have no other way of checking I'm afraid.
  2. Looks good If I could get one to attach to the Vortech that was routed like that into the front bumper area thats the way I would go.
  3. As above, I've got the next couple of days off work and I'm thinking of doing the Novice trackday at Snetterton this Wednesday (21st March) to stretch the Zed's legs a bit. Would be good to have a few Zeds there if anyone else can make it? Club MSV - £99 for day - (5 x 20 min sessions) info here: http://www.clubmsv.com/car-home/event-d ... uctid=1168 Come on, you know you wanna.
  4. I've always used 'Holts Firegum assembly paste' and never had a leaky joint. Obviously check all your joints, but check the flexi-pipes on the y-pipe as well. they can fail inside and you wont see it on the outside. You would normally hear any exhaust leak though. I would also check the seal around your boot hatch for damage and make sure your boot is properly shut. Normally if your sucking in fumes its from the vacuum created at the rear of the car when in motion.
  5. Cool pics as usual You get about a bit don't ya?
  6. That first pic really shows off the gunmetal well What polish/wax etc do you use?
  7. to the club. You have definately joined another community of enthusiasts, but don't expect a wave or flash everytime you see one because most owners will look at you like a nutter. Congrats on the purchase, looks good.
  8. Looks good So how are you doing it?
  9. I hope you get the results your after without any issues. Also hope it won't be the end of this thread.....but you won't be able to stop modding so no fear of that. Good luck Chris.
  10. Must be a massive relief and weight off your shoulders! Congrats on your new job.
  11. Thanks Bronzee, I loved that car. I had it just over 7 years. I bought the Supra as a replacement for it but couldn't bring myself to sell it so kept it to drive on sunny days with the roof off. Your right the original Pearl yellow had faded to more of a mustard yellow. My missus then decided to reverse into the front of it on the driveway in 2004 I took the opportunity to put a facelift bumper on it and have it all resprayed in the OEM colour back to its original lustre. I sold that and the Supra to get the Z33.

  13. Can I ask how many bleed nipples you are bleeding and if are you bleeding using the traditional method ie: 2 men, bottle and hose or are you using specialised brake bleeding equipment.? Also did you allow the brake master cyl. reservoir to run dry? Alex Hi Alex, You most certainly can! Bleeding 6 nipples, 1 on each rear then inner and outer on the fronts. 2 men, bottle, clear hose and i may have quite possibly run the master cylinder to run dry at one point Dave. If you have the Brembos fitted to the rear, there is also 2 bleed nipples on each of them, one inside and one outside, as with the fronts. So you should be bleeding 8 nipples in total. Be aware that the the inside rears very often are seized, (as I found out yesterday!) so give them a good squirt of penetrating fluid a while before hand and be prepared to replace the nipples. (M10x1 nipples) I spent 3 hours getting 2 nipples out yesterday! I ended up resorting to a blowtorch and heat cycling them and gently working them back and forth. Damn Nissan putting steel nipples in an alloy caliper! Also, if you have run it dry you may have to use around 1-1.5 litres of fluid to get all the air out.
  14. From what I've seen and read, making it more free flowing gives more power and reduces boost and temps making it a bit safer. The trade off is that you loose a little torque due to the reduced boost. My set-up is VERY free flowing due to the Kinetix SSV Inlet Manifold, Decats and True Dual Exhaust. I think thats why my power is relatively high compared to my torque. Mine boosts at 9psi. Your Torque is very good due to your 3.12 pulley giving you high boost but I suspect your power is low in comparison because of restricted flow. If your tune was done with OEM CATs in place I suspect that you'll get a good 20-30hp extra if remapped with decats. You may loose a little torque though. Another factor may be that with the extra boost and higher temps the timing might be held back a bit to avoid any Det. What boost do you see with the 3.12 pulley? With the 3:13 pulley, I see around 13 PSI. My blower has been upgraded with an Si impeller so may not be a like for like comparison. Is your V2 blower stock? Do you know how much torque you're making at the flywheel with the 3:33? As far as I know the blower is stock. Dunno about Torque at the Fly not sure how thats converted from the hubs? Its probably just guessed like the FW HP. Anyway 336 lbft Torque @ Hubs
  15. Very nice! Makes a massive impact on an otherwise dull looking engine bay. But I would say that.....
