  1. Its obviously worrying you, and is gonna take a while to use the petrol you have, so why not just put some octane booster in and be done with it? Then you don't have the worry of syphoning etc.....
  2. Yeah, I have used that one myself once Look at the reviews Its gonna really improve the SOUND of your car, much more racy ! Makes me laugh, the rover a nd fiesta drivers will pay £21 for a bottle of this....Why don't they just pay the extra fiver and fill up with Super in the first place Oh I know.....the bottle says NOS!!
  3. Yeah they do increase the octane, but not by much. You'll have to read the bottles and see which is best. I would think you would have to put at least 2 bottles maybe 3 into a full Zed tank though which is gonna be pricey. Just drive it gently and you'll be ok.
  4. I'm sure it'll be fine if you don't over rev and fill up with the good stuff as soon as you can. It could very well feel sluggish as it could be winding the timing back to avoid knock. If its worrying you go and get a couple of bottles of octane booster and stick that in.
  5. Yeah I've got that. But it doesn't do split screen or use the audio from both at the same time.
  6. Does anyone know of any decent free video editing software? I have footage from two cameras that were fitted on the car and I'd like to do a split screen or picture in picture and also use the sound from both. Is that possible using any free software? Thanks.
  7. My Dad used to do this when I was a nipper (about 25 years ago). I thought it was magic at the time.
  8. +1 Or just light 'em up at the lights to be sure.
  9. Now, now. Maybe you haven't been in the right place at the right time. Is she nice and shiny so she's more noticeable? I'm usually in the Zed when I see the other Zed's And she is always nice n' shiny! Mdnightblue, Milltek, twin Stillen CAI, Mines carbon front splitter with freshly done Rays in Porche anthracite (20mm spacers) and badges. I know how you feel. No one see me either. If its any consolation I think my missus sees you occasionally. She does mention a dark blue Zed she sees on her daily commute from Downham Market to Dersingham. Could be you? Anyway, if you see loads of Zeds all the time, why is there only one post from you in this section of the forum???.....

    Oil Pan Spacer

You would have to drill and tap the JWT spacer but if it's a temperature sensor your fitting, that wants to be in the oil flow from the engine for an accurate reading, ideally in a sandwich plate. The Spacer will give you the extra oil capacity though. I have the JWT on mine and it takes 5.7Ltrs of oil.
  11. You'll probably get a letter in the post asking for the money before they release it.
  12. Its the RSW pod. I got it from Ian when he split his car.
  13. I almost posted asking what your plans are now for this engine when I realised that this is Zee business and not Zeebra Bloody pistons an bores all over both threads HOW ARE WE MEANT TO KEEP UP MAN!!!!!!
  14. +1 that sound VERY CHEAP! I suspect they are just pattern parts and not OEM at all. If price is all your worried about go for it. If you actually want a decent product then contact one of our traders for some prices. Zmanalex, CS, Mtec, etc...all in traders section.
  15. Have you got anything in your cubby hole? I have a gauge in there, very easy to do and there is plenty of room for two maybe three if needed. There is a pic of Keyser's set up on page 1 of this very thread. Also in more detail on his build thread. (I think page 3 or 4 from memory)
  16. Cheers. Keep in mind that when you fit the Vortech Intercooler you will probably have to move it.
  17. Let us know what temps you get. Cheers Ian. I would say your probably right. Especially with your increased Boost. Have you tracked your car? Do you have a oil temp gauge? Regarding mounting I'm in the same boat, but if you see how Keyser has mounted his I think that'll give just enough cooling even with the oem or nismo bumber. Although probably only 50% would be in direct air flow. Another option for those with inter-coolers is what Mark suggests of mounting it at an angle behind the crash bar and deflecting the air towards it As Mark has said it will function in any direction. The only thing to consider is if you mount it with hoses at the top, during an oil change the oil will be trapped in there. No big deal if you do regular oil changes though.
  18. Me , me , me! Bank transfer or PayPal? Seriously though, it probably does help a little with induction temps. Ive considered doing something similar myself.
  19. Thanks Tim, I have been looking at your threads and pics and yours is a 24 row. I think a 24 Row with -12 lines will be overkill for me as a Supercharger doesn't produce as much heat as a turbo. Good info though cheers. I have fitted an oil Temperature Gauge. It has not been necessary for a cooler in the past as the oil temps have never gone above 110deg C on the road and usually sit around 90 - 100 which is fine. I do have the JWT pan spacer so have a bit more oil in then standard (5.7 litres). Thanks for your numbers, I don't really want to see my oil temp below 80 once on the go and would be happy to see up to 120 max on track so a set up similar size to yours might suit me as mine would get a bit hotter then yours. Where is yours mounted? Does it get full air flow? +1 Indeed, it starts breaking down at 125C and once its started to oxidise it will break down at lower and lower temperatures. Pete If the car has good quality oil it will be safe for short periods of high oil temp but I do agree get it changed ASAP; Indeed. I had fresh Titan Pro S and have been advised by 'oilman' that a short peak of 138 will be fine as long as it wasn't over 130 for long periods. I will be changing the oil when I fit the cooler and it will be driven very little in the meantime as I am away working. Thanks Mark. I really appreciated your advise when I called you from the track last week and as I said on the phone, the latest tune you have done is spot on, so smooth and pulls like a train. If you could PM me a itemised quote for the above parts that would be great. I maybe able to get the hoses/fittings from work but not sure yet.
  20. I've been reading all the posts I can find on here about oil coolers and oil temperatures before and after fitting one and I'm finding a post here and a post there etc... It would be nice to get the info on one post. Could those with coolers please tell me their findings? i.e. normal driving temps, temps when pushing it on road and when on track. Also could you please say what size/rows your cooler has. And where it is located - in full air flow, tucked up behind crash bar etc..... The reason I'm asking is I know I'm need one due to hitting 138degC on track last week but I'm trying to decide on what size to get and how much air to give it etc... I am happy with my normal temperatures, I see between 80 and 105 on the road. I don't want to over cool the oil during normal driving so was wondering if I could get away with a smaller cooler in order to just lower the max temps seen on track to below 125, but without lowering my normal temps too much.
