  1. As they have been balanced twice, I would assume that if the tyre was bulging or the wheel was out of shape you would have seen it on the balancing machine. So I would suspect the spacers. Take them off and try without, make sure your hub is very clean so it all goes on square and make sure you have the correct size hubcentric rings fitted for your wheel/hub combo. If its none of the above, do you feel it more when braking? Could be warped brake discs.
  2. I saw two 350s on the 47 sat evening - both west bound, one white 07+ (had bonnet bulge) and one either GM or Silver. I was traveling towards you and waved, didn't notice a reply, anyone from here?
  3. Welcome to the club Carl Nice looking Zed there. What bumper is that? Where abouts in Norfolk are you? Not any regular meets around here, even though there seems lots of members in East Anglia now.
  4. You could try an ecu reset, it's in the guides section how to do it, although it doesn't sound like the sort of problem that will just reset. I f I were you I would disconnect the battery for tonight and give it another try in the morning. Where abouts are you? We can suggest a specialist nearby to take a look if need be. ( not Nissan)
  5. That a very kind offer sir! What I may do is buy the o-rings and have a look at removing the glove box and speaker to see how easy it is and then just go for it, the guide doesnt look too complex so may just give it a shot cheers for the offer il see how confident im feeling! No probs, just give me a shout if I can help.
  6. I just read the guide and it's very well written. I've been in my fuel tank a couple of times to fit updated fuel pump and fuel return system, it really is quite straight forward. If you can use a spanner and a screwdriver you will be fine. Top tip. - use as much fuel as you can before hand, if you can get the light on then when you pull the senders out you won't have much to spill. If your nervous about doing it, your welcome to pop up to mine and I'll keep an eye/ help you do it if you like. Just get yourself a couple of o rings incase you need them. It would have to be a week day and within the next 2 weeks as I'm off work. I'm in downham market, drop me a pm if you wanna sort anything out.
  7. Fair point. Anyway I think we've scared him off !
  8. I think a lot of people are missing the point here, he already owns a 2005 roadster, I don't think telling him to get a 2007 or a different car helps much. Op - In answer to your actual question, your goals are possible but will cost you a fair bit. You will probably need around 450 ish hp and probably loose a bit of weight good clutch, flywheel and tyres. Vortech supercharger would do the trick with supporting mods (see my garage for list) you may need to use the smaller 3.12 or 2.87 pulley but then you'll be increasing the chance of over stressing the engine. Tuning the 350 isn't cheap though so it will cost you at least 10 k .
  9. My supercharger never felt that fast. I found it quite boring The GTR though, thats much faster Turbos always feel faster then SC'd due to the sudden high torque. My Twin Turbo Supra felt faster than my Zed but I'd bet money on it being the other way round.
  10. Obviously now you've had it checked you know it's fine, but it looks normal in the pictures too. If you look down the line you'll see that Colin's and Darren's cars look very similar. Most sporty cars have around 1.5 degrees of camber on the rears.
  11. Looking real I definitely need to spend some time cleaning and polishing my engine bay to do the Polished Vortech and Kinetix SSV justice. What do you use to polish this stuff up? eg the Strut brace and timing covers?
  12. A bit late to the party - but HAPPY BIRTHDAY anyway.
  13. Looking . The Azure always looks good when the sun is out. You will need to remove the plate and behind the plate there are 2 screws which hold it onto the bumper, I was thinking of doing away with the holder and sticking plate directly on the bumper, not to sure on how I would secure it on yet though Some sticky back foam does the trick. Can get it from any Motor factor.
  14. Any updates Darren? How are you getting on with it? ( for those of us that couldn't make Wales)
  15. Just as a guide, I reckon mine would do 60 in circa 5 seconds, maybe a tad under if it were driven properly. This video was done when I had 382 hub hp (about 420 hp) and in full daily drive trim ie boot full of crap full fuel tank etc.... This was taken more as a sound comparison vid so wasn't concentrating on a fast get away- note a fair bit of wheel spin and a lazy 1st to 2nd gear change. I just timed it, and from standstill it's bang on 6 seconds to hitting the rev limit in 2nd ( which I think is 6850rpm, I'll have to check with mark at abbey) which equates to about 65 mph and 10 secs to 92mph (rev limit in 3rd) and this was not a particularly good pull away. So now I have 402 hub hp (442hp) I would think under 5 secs to 60 is do-able with a good gear change, little wheelspin and a bit of practice.
  16. There is better stuff out there for that sort of thing like plastic x etc, I'm sure you'll get some more suggestions from them that know. However, I had some old t-cut in the garage from years back and use it on my lights, it seems to do the trick just fine. When it runs out I'll buy something more suitable for the job but for now it'll do.
  17. Reliability with a SC is VERY good if your not chasing every last HP. In fact, I have not heard of any engine failures in the UK due to Supercharging. Has anyone else? As Dannyboy said, you maybe prone to a niggle every now and then, that might need a tweek of the map to sort but once its sorted its generally it. LOTS of posts on here about niggly things wrong with 350's but how many of them are related to Supercharging? Not many. If you get a reputable Tuner to map it, are sensible about your numbers and keep it well maintained there is no reason why it won't last as long as an N/A. My car has been Supercharged for 7 years, it has evolved over that time from 360 ish HP to 442 HP. It has only done about 22k but 20k of them are SC'd and I've done 10k of them and drive it fairly hard. Get it done - Its how the car should have been in the first place!
  18. You can fit the walbro pump and Fuel Return system now if you wanted. Just make make sure you set the fuel pressure to stock and don't connect the vacuum line to the new Fuel pressure regulator. It should then just run as normal. Then you can fit the rails and injectors just before the tune. What are your power goals with the Supercharger? The reason I ask, is that most people use 600cc Injectors with the Vortech for around 400bhp. Also regarding the FRS, a 'basic' or 'stage 0' return system using the OEM rails is sufficient and will save you some £££.
  19. I wan't to see before and after pics!
  20. Good right up Mark. I had a good look at it at Wales last year and could tell there had been a lot of love gone into it but didn't know the whole story.
