  1. Had a nice 200 mile drive today, got concerns over the clutch tho, it works fine but when fully depressed it seems to hesitate when you release it. Never slips and gears go in ok so any ideas, tried search but cant find anything similar ta
  2. Thanks for the welcomes, taking car to oulton park today for its first proper run to see some friends on their bikes, tempted to do the oulton drift day on the 3rd next month to give me some feel for the car on a slippy surface, will post it in correct forum if I do
  3. Picked the car up today, the original test drive had shown the brakes to be slightly warped so after a chat with the dealer some cash was knocked of so I could fit my own. Mechanically all else seems well so far, the clutch seems over light but getting used to that. The wiper arms are corroded so that's one little job and the alloys could do with a refurb sometime and the paint wants a good mop and wax. Got a massive folder of history which is nice to see. Car has done 68k miles and drives nice, with EPS off in this slippy weather it's a bit of fun too but I've got to get used to how she handles. So far all good, some bits to put right but I'm happy so far, got a trip to France booked in the company of a corvette, boxster s and an aston martin an I reckon the Z will hold it's own in fact I'd say having driven them all it will be the best fun !
  4. I'm new here so will read up a bit on the negative comments to a bit of drifting on the road, can't really see the problem on a deserted industrial estate but then I learnt to stunt ride a motorbike on them so my view is biased, I assume those that are most vocal against it also don't ever speed and don't ever push hard in corners close to the cars or more likely their own limit as that is just as easy a way to lose control, I assume they have bought a sports car to use on the track only, I dunno
  5. Hmmmm well the 911 was when I got it a £40k car and since selling it I have missed it every day, it was an experience to drive and own and I will own another. The performance is in another league to the Z as it reached 100mph in not much over 10secs and topped out at 191 on the clock. Above 100mph it was amazing as is to be expected with the power and weight. I loved everything about it except it was all a bit serious, you had to be cautious with oversteer as it could bite when TC was off and it was always in the back of my mind that it cost as much as my first house LOL. Awesome car but not one for messing around in ! From my initial outings on the test drives of the Z I love how it can be slid around with less fear and more control, I'd have to say in pure fun factor it is up there with the 911 but for different reasons and I can see myself using it more as I won't be so precious about it, as above awesome car and definately one for messign about in
  6. After looking for what seems ages I found a non grey UK GT 350Z in orange for the right money, after racing motorbikes as a hobby for ten years and owning 120+ of them (still have 4) and having sold my 997 Carrera S to buy a house I am excited about getting back into a nice car and from the demo drives the Z seems right up there in the fun stakes, can't wait Anyway here she is
  7. Thanks for the replies and welcomes, not many GT in red or blue at the miles and price I want but will keep looking
  8. Hello all, been looking for a 350Z for a month now and had a budget around £6-£7k and wanted a UK GT with decent miles in red or blue...yeah I know I also want the moon on a stick Having viewed some sheds I now have a list of 3 cars none the ideal combination An 04 non GT in red with 60k miles for £7800 An 03 GT in silver with 51k miles for £7600 An 04 GT in silver with 78k miles for £6400 All are in the condition I was expecting so I can consider them all, the colour I really want is the red but it's not a GT and that's about the only negative. Any thoughts or advice on the above decision appreciated thanks
