    Boot struts.

Cheapest option by far chap. I had mine done under waranty by nissan and iirc it was over £300 .... I think the waranty company were not too happy
  3. Mine got set off by something sliding under the seat. Did the reset not been a problem since.
  4. Welcome to the country! Sorry about the weather nice car chap
  5. Is that it just in front of the house ? Some where under there. . About a foot of snow on top though. .
  6. Dont think im going anywhere fast... Spot the z....
  7. Dont fret about it chap. I dont let other peoples comments bother me. ( I am the upmost authority on everything in the world anyway) I was talking to some subaru entusiasts. They get some serious grief for their cars ( called chavs etc. ) these guys spend as much as people on here pushing their car to its limits yet many people would look down their nose at them. Ive been ( and am on ) a few forums and everywhere you go people slag of other marques ( I nearly got a jag instead of a 350 incidentally ). Where its people speaking from personal experience I think they should be alowed to voice their opinion. However its just that an opinion. Not necessaryly fact. Ive driven some hideous cars... and had grief for it and honestly dont give two sh*ts because i liked em. This 350 has cost me more than any other car already in upkeep BUT its great fun. So for the minute it stays (well we shall see).
  8. Is it releasing at all? even if you have a small gap you may be able to get something in to release the catch. If not unless there is someway of accessing the release mechanism from under the car you may be in for a trip to the garage. Hopefull there is someway to get at it. Does anyone know if you can get the bumper of at least partly with the bonnet down? If not they may have to drill a hole to try and trigger the release mechanism in which case if they can get at another 350 to see how its set up it will reduce risk of it being in the wrong place. If you can get in to it to trigger it then all it will be is a bit of filler and spraying and a new mechanism. If not you may be looking at more invasive surgery to get to the mechanism...
  9. Had this sort of thing on my last car when it jad ben stood for a while. Was just the handbrake not releasing properly. Sounds similar to what you have. May be that all it needs is a clean up.
  10. Sounds like a caliper sticking or not releasing properly. May be nothing. Do you have a friendly garage? If so ask them to have a look and give the brakes a clean, its probably just something suchas the caliper piston not releasing properly or rusty. If you breaks are not vibrating and you have plenty of meat on them and your handbrake is holding then they probably just need a clean and lubrication.
  11. That is seriously pornographic car.... Looks like the batmobile after a trip to ann summers! I feel dirty now.
  12. "Bad-boy car" very true .... go and stand in the corner and dont come out until you are sorry for what you have done.
  13. Thanks for that. Just a case of shopping round best we can then. Ho hum...
  14. Bloody hell havnt heard that in a while do they still sell castlemain xxxx? Back on topic. I dont care tbh. But then again at least its not another "were all going to die from hamster flu" story. What happened to the cheerful stories about a kitten? Just seems to be recession, stabbing and terrorists now...
  15. Picked this up from specjap. Although by the sounds of it most insurance companies should have already implemented it so this may be a repost. Looks like they are restructuring insurance categories... So welcome to band 45... another excuse to charge more money next year. Maybe one of the afiliated insurers could let us know what the likly impact if any will be. http://www.thatcham.org/research/index.jsp?page=33
  16. You can get louvre's cut in to it. Ive seen it done on some modern cars but I am not sure who could do it.... And do you trust them cutting up your car!
  17. If there is grit on your car and the wind gets up it will be like sandpaper on your paintwork. I dont know which i would prefer that or cats! Take her for one last spin to the jetwash then home quick wipe down and cover. Job done.
  18. Quick wash and cover otherwise dont cover IMO.

Tyre size calculator here chap http://www.etyres.co.uk/tyre-size-calculator.htm
  20. I might fill my engine bay with strange boxes and wires just to wind em up...
  21. I would hope that anyone who supplies uprev will be looking in to it. But all that will happen is folks fitting switchable maps if necessary.
  22. Edit..... Looks genuine but they are not sure how it will be implemented..page 8 & 9 http://www.google.com/m/url?client=ms-a ... I0vBhnY5dQ I have seen this all over the net but not in so much detail. Most think is tosh. Cheap aftermarket HID devices are more often than not already not MOT compliant i believe. Checking the engine management would be neigh on impossible unless they are just looking for something odd. There are kit cars and all sorts of exotics and custom cars so the knowledge as to what was or was not oem would require massive training. If its just plugging kit in.... Unless i am mistaken currently MOT inspectors are not alowed to remove things like wheel trims incase they damage the car. I dread to think how much liability cover they will need if they fry a ecu or bend a connector pin. Let alone collecting all the stock maps from every manufacturer ever.... I think it is unlikly too TBH.
  23. You can get self adhesive velcro strips. DIY places even supermarkets/halfrauds may have them. Cut a few section and stick One side on the boot floor one on the matt or stitch it on if nothing to stick it to. Sorted and still easy to get to spare wheel.
  24. I has a proper sideways hop 2weeks back on a narrow road. If i had been off position id would have been chewing twigs. Bad luck chap. Hope alls well soon.
