  1. Rays a pretty damn good wheels. But you might want to try swap shop, see the trading post section Traders may not want to part ex but have a look in the for sale you may find someone looking to sell theirs and go back to stock. otherwise you may have to buy the wheels you want then try and sell em.
  2. You have to have ncb per person otherwise people could run multiple policies. One on a cheap car that was never used one on an expensive one they actually used. Then in the event of an accident could then cancel the effected and transfer the one from the unaffected policy. And only take the sting of loosing ncb on the cheap car. The one NCB per person makes sense therefore. However not being able to apply it to all vehicles is barmy. I agree it is anoying for reponsible drivers. There are specialist insurers who do policies for owners of Multiple vehicles. Aon for one. But mostly aimed at uber wealthy car collections i think.
  3. For 7 to 7.5k you should be able to find one of the older models on Average milage. Have a look in faqs etc for differences. Imports tend to be a bit cheaper also. I would also have a look in zeds for sale. Buying off a member will give you a chance to search its history. Good luck in your search and remember if it seems too good....it probably is!
  4. Who goes for a job a toilet instructor!!
  5. There is a lot of info re tyres check the search. Maintenance wise i have had my 53 for nearly 3 Years and so far the only thing that has worn out is drop links! (touch wood) The uprev engine has a bit more power but mine is plenty quick enough to scare me. I only use super personally and would more think if someone has been cheap on the fuel what else have they been cheap on. I would keep an eye out on here for one for sale . Thay way you can see its history!
  6. Mmmmm niiice. Why did they do so few?
  7. Had a cobra exhaust on a previous car and it was very well made.
  8. Im hoping to do a run round europe at some point and was rather alarmed.to find that italy requires you to have snow chains in some parts from 15th October. Has anyone on the forum ever got snow chains for europe? Also was wandering about beam reflectors are special ones needed for xenons? And is there anyway i can get away with not buying spare xenon bulbs! Ta R
  9. Looks suspicious like one I hung my nose over when I was first looking for a car.... Im sure it was a lot cheaper though!

    Blingtastic!

Yep it is hideous, but I would imaging to you and I £3.5m is a lot of money ....... to him its not even the small amount of change I have in my pocket Doesnt matter how much money he has or spends that car, the model in it and him are way fugley

    Blingtastic!

That sir.. Is hideous. I would actually say its a vulgar display of wealth. surely you could find a better way to spend the money. like paying someone to repeatedly punch him in the face...maybe.. Just an idea.
  14. Many of the figures quoted in the press are skewed or mis-quoted to suit the spin of the story. The basic underlying principal is with people living longer pensions are costing more. The government needs to make savings and increase taxation to cope with an population that is getting older and requiring more care. So what are there options? Tax the private sector to cope with this? The risk being it could stunt growth and discourage investment. Or cut spending (But many public services having their budgets constrained already). What they are trying to do is a combination of both so no one is hit massivly however this means everyone takes a hit. My parents both have worked or work in education and both don't whole heartedly agree with the strike action and understand the necessity for it - even if it is disappointing. The level of pension provision in the public sector is simply unsustainable without risking damaging other sectors of our country. Whilst it is bitterly disapointing for a teacher who has works hard and gives up there spare time for the good of their school which would we prefer? Just dont build a Hospital or two to help cover the pension costs? Yes there are inefficent government organisations and local bodies but hacking at them just makes the unions more irate. I agree it shouldnt be a "race to the bottom" and anger is understandable we have realise if you want a comfortable and long retirement there is a cost. And that cost is only increasing. There is no magic bullet, something has to give and only so much burden can be placed elsewhere.
  15. I second the above. I have seen our company aquire many staff via TUPE. And in most cases there has been some sort of redundancy eventualy but not always where you expect it. In my experience it has been used to get rid of underperforming and troublesome staff . If the company taking over is smart they will want to loose as few skilled staff as possible and may use any "alignment" excercise to weed out some of their own underperforming staff.
  16. Only if the rain stops and they have started making highly flamable car covers...
  17. Need more space.... Thought about the fire thing but figure if it lands with enough heat in it to burn thru the cover it would wreck the paint anyway.
  18. Last year the missuses shed got a dent in the roof from a falling rocket. So i dont have a garage so i have put a fleece blanket on the roof and a duvet on the bonnet and put a cover over lot Overkill? non garage owners what are you doing?! Make me feel less mad.
  19. I took the Gallardo and GTR out at prestwold also - but personally I found the Gallardo more engaging. Admitidly the instructor in the GTR was useless ( woudlnt let me change gear for 2 laps then he found out I drove a zed and didnt stop "chatting" for the rest of the session) I found the gallardo felt like part of you and I found easier to drive in the conditions (V Wet) I was in but IMO a lot of it is down to the experience as a whole - the gallardo delivered that - ground hugging position and the noise GTR technically in all aspects may be the better car - but the gallardo is just plain sexy.
  20. Stealers dont always get it right chap. They thought my squeaky arb was the clicky rear axle problem and were about to charge me several hundred quid when i decided on a second opinion
