  1. Returning to the topic a bit more, I'd say the UK is princely positioned as a place you'd both have to get out of and get warning to do so. If it ever came to it, US sites would be top of the list for being hit. There is a huge amount of targets, infrastructure, etc to destroy there. Nobody, not even Russia would be focused on doing that AND hitting other countries in parallel. Hence the moment Russia/other aggressor attacks the US directly (e.g. Russian fighter planes sink a US destroyer in the Med) or the other way round, I'm immediately driving to North Norway. I'd bet there would be at least 24h to get out before strikes come to the UK. More likely a week.
  2. I live in Kent. The moment anything sounds like WW3 is en route, I am bundling all key stuff and the wife into the big bad Grand Cherokee. Half an hour to France and then drive as far into northern Norway as possible. No military targets, no population, thinnest possible atmosphere = shortest nuclear winter. Animals and vegetation north of the polar circle have highest radiation tolerance due to differences in Ozone layer = highest chance of them surviving therefore food is possible. Plenty of remote oil rigs and refineries to use as a base with unlimited fuel supply. Sounds good to me!
  3. So glad somebody actually typed out my exact reply for me.
  4. LC818s, Do-luck body bits and an Ark exhaust by any chance?
  5. I hit 161 mph on a stock-ish 350z on the Autobahn on an accurate sat-nav read (not speedo) on a flat surface and was not maxed (ticking about 1mph every 2-3 seconds so still easily had 4-5 mph in there) - had to slow for traffic ahead. My guess is that a 370z should top a fair bit higher than that.
  6. Do you need the camera on when the ignition is off? Security-wise a tracker is much more useful and a good install draws next to nothing. Rewire your Blackvue into an ignition-controlled fuse (that's what I did - you really don't need any installers for this). Also batteries can die any time from around 4yrs old onwards - just stick a new heavy duty Bosch in there - 20 minute job if you take a 10 minute coffee break halfway.
  7. Flying is for wimps. #fiveamtraintocalais Woop
  8. +1 on the LC818s. Definitely provides the 'concave'
  9. Loads of great styling options here: www.barryboys.co.uk
  10. Driven the hemi Challengers before and this feels like a step up. Certainly in terms of cabin quality, space and comfort.
  11. 4.6 to 4.8 depending on where you look. SRT claims 4.6 This is for a 2.5 tonne luxury cruiser. #Win
  12. More pictures coming soon but this thing is seriously impressive. For something so comfortable, spacious and quiet and so full of awesome tech, it has incredible power. The loud pedal produces insane beans and I have only half pressed it so far as I'm still breaking it in. I'm in love.
  13. So this bit of Mopar joined the stable today... 6.4L Hemi with lots of toys!
  14. It's Ebisu black... Ebisu has the purple tinge on it, correct? If so, I stand corrected! Apologies for the pedantry!
  15. The new Android flagships don't work with the older Bluetooth type. iPhones tend to do well though. My SE works great.
  16. The ones I looked at, the rear seats incline relative to the boot floor and do not lie down flat and the Sport is actually pretty short at the back (back of front seats to the boot lid) for its size!
  17. Congratulations! Although I believe from this facelift the '8' was dropped from the SRT name...
  18. A giant gerbil family living in a funky house built on top of your diff?
  19. S5 008 Bosch - best lattery with largest capacity that fits into the space.
  20. The widely suggested full fat Range Rover (& variants) actually has pretty poor rear space and the seats fold very poorly - definitely not one for overlanding unless sleeping in a roof tent. Even then, the space at the back is not great. Not looking for a pickup so not any of those suggestions. One of these incoming:
  21. Unfortunately none of the above. Looked at a lot of these in detail but key requirements are: 1. Great 4x4 capability with top offroad performance. 2. Long distance cruising and road trip ability with a quiet cabin. 3. Comfortable modern quality interior and seats. 4. Seriously meaty performance and major kudos points for the bits under the bonnet. 5. Curveball! Overland ability - needs to be able to comfortably sleep 2 inside with huge secure space in the back - has to be completely flat and roomy with seats folded Having driven the zed to the furthest corners of Europe (south Italy, Bosnia, Albania, Russia) it is time for upping the ante with our road trips starting this year! After months of research there was only one option...
  22. More 4x4 and more kudos Not quite X5M horsepower, but not looking for a track car!
  23. So we decided to get a practical car to add to the stable. But how do you combine a practical and comfortable 4x4 with insane power and kudos? 13 days to go...
