  5. I think out of all the pictures I have seen on here. This has to be the picture of the year! Wow mate I really appreciate that. I can't take credit for the photo but I can for the car and the positioning lol. Thanks again bud
  6. Lmao I opened mines up down the slip road onto the dual carriage way at roslin. Don't think the guy expected it but he just laughed. He knew I was buying it from the moment I seen it.
  7. Spotted on garstang road, preston, around 16.40 this evening.
  8. Nice one toyboy. That's what makes this forum what it is. Brilliant community spirit! How's the 370 doing?
  9. Where have you test drove from? I got about a good hour drive before buying mine from nobles in Edinburgh. I took it out and ripped the arse out it. Very good garage to deal with IMO and have helped me endlessly.
  10. There is your problem, IMO - the (worn) RE040's on the front - useless for decent grip - ideal for drifting and lighting up the dashboard. Get a matching pair of Falkens (hopefully the 452's) on there and it will be a different and planted car. The re040's are very good tyres if you can get heat in them. Excellent warm day track tyres and very hard wearing. The falkens are budget tyres but are reasonably good all round tyre. Wouldn't fancy getting too much heat into them as my guesses will be that they are similar to the Toyo t1r and melt easily. As for traction control. Once you feel confident driving you can turn it off but be warned it will spin the wheels up very easily and you could end up sideways before you know it. In everyday road driving there is no reason to turn it off. If I'm out having a play then mines is usually off regardless of whether it's wet or dry.
  11. I love the over run noise. Decats do it alot louder. You learn to live with that though and it eventually doesn't bother you at all.
  12. My car hasn't been in Scotland for nearly 3 months
  13. Mines managed 23k on Toyo t1r's and its camber was well out. I had wear on the inside edge but 25k in my eyes is more than reasonable mileage for a tyre change. It all depends on how many miles the tyres have done. If they're bald on inner edge after 5k something is wrong. After 15-20k just means its doing to many straight motorway miles instead of getting used on back roads and tight turns which will transfer the wear onto outer areas of the tread.
  14. paisley freight will be about 8 quid
  15. You Have the correct number of bolts
  16. Mines are insured. It came under manifold/exhaust modification.
  17. Wouldn't have bothered painting them to be honest and your price is too high for second hand rays. If they were powder coated they would be worth more to be honest. If the tyres were good and all matching you would get what you were asking.
  18. As far as I'm aware the end with the 3 bolts(2 already welded on) attach to the manifold. The manifold has a pre welded bolt on it. The side with the 2 attaches to the y pipe. This is the same as oem cats. APS as far as I'm led to believe are very high quality. Can I ask where you got them and what you paid? Cheers
  19. I have goodyear f1's on my suzuki swift sport and they have been amazing. 20k miles and still got loads of tread. Ive heard people talking about them on here also. I think captain shaved a second or 2 of a laptime changing to them
  20. something like this would be a good start. Also another one with 32k for 4k-ish.... http://www2.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... ?logcode=p
  21. This got covered by someone the other day who used cheap halfords gearbox oil and then had it removed and replaced with genuine nissan fluid with molyslip and their gearbox has been perfect since. Zmanalex sells the genuine stuff much cheaper than nissan.
  22. yep fwd's with lsd are very very good driving cars. I just love the fear of losing the back end in a rwd keeps you on your toes. With a cooper s all you need is a reduced pulley and a remap and you will run 210bhp very easily. Strip it out and you have a very very fun track toy
  23. haha... took me a few sessions at knockhill to eventually get by a 182 on the twisties. I have been seriously considering buying a fwd track car. Would love a 182 or 172 and rip it to bits. Would be great to have a car that you dont necessarily have to worry about bashing etc. I'm still eyeing up westfields, lotus's etc as I really dont think i would be happy going back to a front wheel drive. May take the suzuki swift sport upto knockers and see how it does. On another note, look at supercharged cooper s' .... stripped out I imagine these will be very fast as even fully load mines was very very fast.
