  1. you sure do wear some fancy underpants Lol my cheapest pair of undercrackers were more than that I imagine the twig and giggle berrys won't be very comfortable in those haha
  2. Lums car is up for 10.5k and is twin turbo. Wrong colour but that's easily sortable. We seen how many changes of clothes Paul t's car had
  3. Not all young drivers insurance is high lol. Mines is 700 this year. Mods declared. 23yra old, 3yrs Ncb, 4/5k crash 2.5years ago. What I found out for myself and think most young drivers are the same. We all think we're great drivers. You only find out that you are not when something goes wrong and you can't control it. A good driver should be able to. This was a wake up call for me. Took it to the track for lessons and some discipline.
  4. Yep mate I have checked with my thermal imaging camera. I actually agree with everything you have said as its exactly as I said in my first comment which you disagree'd with. On a small track like Knockhill the left hand side is always loaded more due to the nature of the track therefore more pressure in these tyres help the car due as it will stiffen the sidewall feel and the tyre wont be ballooning unless on a long straight at high speed as the increase in weight load counter acts this in the corners , and, as stated previously on my earlier post that ideally you want to keep tyres around the 35 psi mark spec'd by the manufacturer when warm until you really know what your doing like the pro's do. Obviously different pressures are suited to different conditions. Everything you have now stated is what I said at the start.
  5. Open your door and listen. I checked several out when I bought mine, some new, and every single one done it
  6. Lmao I nearly murdered a mate who tried to steal mines from my bike. As long as the valves are ok no air will escape. Valve caps aren't air tight. They just stop beggers lettin your tyres down. I'm sure they do stop people letting your tyres down as easily but if i am not mistaken, they are to stop all the road crud gathering inside the valve. The clue is in the title, 'dust cap' Not to worry valves are very cheap also, missus dad owns a tyre shop. Ive not had dustcaps for nearly 3 years and have had no issues yet. The car doesn't get dirty enough to build up crap in them. Doesn't get used in winter either so no drama
  7. Obviously doesn't like to listen to good info. You have a very bad attitude mate and people will not help you because of it.
  8. Yep, defo pumped your clutch. Time for a new one.
  9. If you increase weight load on a tyre then the weight will cause the tyre walls to compress. Look at a car going round a corner the wheels on the outer will load. Along with g-force, gravitational pull and the weight of the vehicle the weight force on the outer tyre will increase massively. If I put my cars wheels on my gf dads 760li beemer with the same pressure what will the tyres look like with the added weight ?
  10. So why do the likes of car limits tell people to inflate their tyres to max. Im not the prepared to go into a debate. Your talking from 15 years of experience. I'm talking from the physics and science behind it and I know alot about both.
  11. Paramedic? Who done the training? More people should be doing this sort of training. Oh and roundabout lane discipline aswell.
  12. They have probably been using it as a beer fridge anyways. Leave it where it is, buy another and plant it at the other side and get your cousin to plumb it in
  13. I bought a diesel Peugeot shed in August 2010 for the winter with 137,000 miles on the clock. It cost me £350 with a full year MOT and tax. Here we are 14 months later and I still have it for the coming winter - never given me announce of bother! Peugeot and Renault diesels were awarded very well in magazines years back. Your Peugeot is a beast. Needs chrome spinner wheel trims to be a real shed though.
  14. The G man's wife has one. Think she really likes it. Good engine and good looking car.
  15. only if you scrape them to the ground, both them lads have their car lowered. My guess is that if you dont scrape them they stay alive a good bit longer. Also the lads are running boost so not sure how well they're ment to without over pressure. I had new flexis on my nismo y-pipe less than 2k miles ago. It gets used as a bump guard to warn me when i'm close to the ground(usually on worn edge roads) Bit of a nightmare but we have to deal with it when lowered. Mines are looking rough already but as long as the internals hold up, that all i'm caring about lol
  16. Price always depends on who you use. My labour costs are high because of the way I carry out works. I'm very oldschool and very proud of how I work. If its not perfect then I wont leave it. When I complete works and leave you wouldn't know there has been an engineer in the house. If you pay cheap the usually you get what you pay for. If its your cousin i'd expect a decent price but don't let him get away with shawdy workmanship. Theres two different types of tradesman... a fitter and an engineer.
  17. As dan said don't buy pipework. If someone done that on a job I was doing I'd be telling you to take it back. We have our own wholesalers that we use regularly. I'd say dans being very fair with that price. I'd be chargin more and there could be other problems with movin pipework as the units will need to be adjusted to allow the pipework and drains to fit behind. I'd be saying a couple of hundred more than Dans price to be honest. I'd be bringing a joiner with me to do the dismantling and refit so he would need paid also.

  19. ach it wasnt that long ago I was out stealing peoples "dusty's". Didnt even want them, it was hilarious how angry people got over a 4 quid set of dustcaps. The joys of being a kid. It was always a bonus getting a full set as you could punt the other 2 of to your mate for his bike for a fiver or something....
  20. i dont have any on my car lol. Got bored taking them on and off to check the pressures....
  21. never checked the list.... paisleys the "souf of the riva" from dumbarton though and he went into a local scheme so i'm guessing its local to dumbarton
