Received the funds today, all pretty smooth. I'm borrowing my gran's Kia picanto till i decide what's next. I've left my policy open with them as i paid upfront until next may. I had 13 years No claims. I added the No claims Protection so hopefully it won't be too bad. It was only £550 for the Z so i'm sure whatever i get next won't push it past that much, or maybe even cheaper? Pretty pleased with the speediness and hassle free dealings with Aviva. Also easy to add mods online with them.

Got an offer today. £16,800 Not too bad. Argued for the mods that if i sold it I could've taken them off to sell separately and got the price bumped up to £17,600 which I accepted. Pretty fair was expecting a much lower offer, after hearing stories. Still gutted, time for a cheap run around for a bit ☹️

Cheers. i listed the mods with Aviva and the price for each mod, so i thought that might help add a bit against a standard cars value. Not many of my year only 4 on autotrader Hopefully can argue that mine is the GT edition as some of the cheap ones aren't Looking at these maybe 16K would be hopefull then? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201609288214758?model=370 Z&make=NISSAN&year-from=2012&postcode=de561ls&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&year-to=2012&advertising-location=at_cars&sort=price-asc&page=1 https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201710230561556?model=370 Z&make=NISSAN&year-from=2012&postcode=de561ls&radius=1500&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&year-to=2012&advertising-location=at_cars&sort=price-asc&page=1 https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201709219523350?year-to=2013&sort=price-asc&radius=1500&year-from=2013&make=NISSAN&postcode=de561ls&model=370 Z&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly New&onesearchad=New&advertising-location=at_cars&page=1

Very sad news, had a bit of a crash last night. Took a corner on an unfamiliar road a little too briskly, caught some mud and spun off, hitting a thick hedge on the way, ending up in a field. Front passenger wheel tucked under the car and passenger side badly crumpled with both air bags going off, possible chassis damage so expecting a write off. Walked away with no issues, just a bruised ego and a humbling experience. Fortunately and no-one else around thank god! I'm expecting a call form the insurance tomorrow with a settlement offer. Never been in this situation before, i'm expecting a low offer but not sure what is acceptable. I was hoping for £16k atleast, like i say never had to deal with this before. bought for £17k in January this year. 13 plate GT edition 54k miles £4k of mods listed. Looking on Autotrader they seem to be roughly the same price as i bought if not a little more on average. I was wondering if anyone has any idea if i could bargain with them for more as the price of the mods listed? Or will this make no difference? thanks for any tips.
  5. Ok, I'll have a look thanks.
  6. OK thanks i'll give that a try.
  7. So i bought my 370z just after christmas, love it, such a good upgrade fro my old 350z in every way. Synchro rev is soo addictive! It's a 2013 GT edition. WIth Stillen intakes, miltek cat back and a carbon front lip and carbon rear spoiler. I wanted a Nismo but couldn't justify the extra cost even though i love the way the older model looks. All i need now is a day wihtout some bloody rain/ice to fully enjoy it! Future mods will be Tarmac side skirts carbon dipped and a carbon rear lower diffuser. Not sure if it's been remapped so will probably have that looked in to and get Ecutek done to release a bit more torque in the summer. Still have my old celica to sell to fund a few of the mods. The only annoyance so far has been the front wheels skipping/hopping when at low speeds and on turning on full lock. not sure if it's just because of the tire width? Not sure if the pics will work. Only took a few, want to give it a good detail then will get some more up. https://www.dropbox....0108_152501.jpg https://www.dropbox....0108_152451.jpg https://www.dropbox....0108_152512.jpg Not sure how to get the pics to show without using the link. Not been on a forum for years Oh and here is my Modified celica 190. If anyone was interested. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=292007884222#ht_2702wt_1139
  8. Thanks for the info Ebized much appreciated. I checked all tyres for decent tread and they were bridgestones, not sure which ones though. It was pretty cold and damp conditions, i may just have forgotten how much RWD cars slip in the wet after lower powered FWD for the past few years. Also the seller didn't seem to know what the sport button did, so may have turned off the TCS while fiddling with it?
  9. Thanks, what are the major differences other than looks and the extra power/ suspension? I've really been out the loop with cars the last few years, concentrating on work/house.
  10. Hi all, been several years since i sold my 350z. Always had a soft spot for it, thus i'm on the look out for a new 370z. Having test driven an Audi TTRS yesterday it just didn't have that special feeling a Zed has. I test drove a 370z today. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201611129701858?advertising-location=at_cars&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&sort=price-asc&model=370%20Z&postcode=de561ls&make=NISSAN&radius=1500&page=7 I've struggled to find a good buyers guide, so hoping you guys may have a few pointers for me? I noticed that it seemed very easy to spin the back wheels compared to my old 350z. Do all 370zs have traction control? It seemed the rears slipped alot until corrected by myself, (obviously in cold wet conditions not ideal) I was expecting the TCS to cut in as it was very nannying in my 350z. Also not sure what the sport button does? Possibly thinking of stretching to a nismo model or certainly putting a few aero and performance pieces on a base mosel. Pulling out slowly with full lock on seemed like the front wheels were skipping a bit, maybe suspension damage? Also the bonnet got caught on the side windscreen pillar, which was very loose, not sure why? Is there any definative spec list between all the trims? Sorry for all the questions i'm just eager to get my hands on a good car. Thanks, Tom.

Brilliant thanks, that sounds an easy enough job. The whole car will prob be having a respray at some point unless i just leave it as a track/weekend toy. have you tracked yours much? Hear contrasting opinions on 4wd on track, I imagine in the wet though it will show up better cars that aren't 4wd just has endless grip by the looks of it, not wanting to push it on public roads obviously. Will have a crack at the spoiler tomorrow if it's not lashing it down again

Hey. How easy is it to remove the risers and fix the wing back on? I think i'd be happy enough with the look of that. I've already been in touch with Martin actually However i'm booked in to Powerhouse in Derby tommorrow for a check over, never been but he said he was knowledgable on GT4's As for the previous owner, he's a very genuine guy (I think) he's been the only owner from import in 2006 and it was standard then. He has receipts for over £10,000 of mods so i'm hoping they're all under the bonnet and not fitted to another car lol. but hasn't any receipts for the actual build as he said his cousin who owns a garage did all the work. If everything he has said is correct the only mayor internals that haven't been uprated are the conrods and camshafts i think. Which are quite strong as standard i understand? Anyway i will probably take it to Martin soon as he's highly recommended. I'm totally new to turbo's not actually even been in a turbo car before. So i'm not sure as to how i would like it. I am looking for the feeling of speed rather than actual speed so maybe i would prefer it to all hit me at once. Thanks for the info mate

Yeah I joined up, seem a nice bunch, Maybe i'm just trying to hold on to the zed a bit longer. Had to go to the buyers house and pick up my old insurance documents i gave him by accident. Felt ashamed in my rusty laquered celica.

Blimey! They do appear to be expensive, didn't realise. i could get nearly quarter the worth of the car back selling them! I'll prob get the suspension raised and softened first and see how it is. I could prob strip this car and make a massive profit. But that sounds too sensible for my liking.
