  1. Exactly! It's like saying you own a Ferrari and you turn up in one of these: Just 'cos it has the badge, doesn't mean it has the pedigree and magic. let's face it, it's MOST UNLIKELY you'd ever feel smug driving this... until you pull up at the lights next to a G-Whizz. Yeah, buldge those biceps, check it
  2. I pity the fool who pays £30,000 for that ugly futhamucka! It's not worth the AM Keyfob that starts it; imagine saying you drive an Aston, then pulling up in that.
  3. What kind of noise dude? Clicking?
  4. I bought a full suss 10 years ago, before I could drive or drink and thus had nothing else to spend my money on... was really into it. Starting up again but haven't touched it for a few years and now it just doesn't cut the mustard, so I enquired about the 'Ride2Work' or 'Cycle2Work' scheme set up by the government, whereby my company purchases the bike as an asset and leases it back to me for 12 months, but thereby mitigating VAT and reducing NI. Basically, I'm getting a Specialized Rockhopper SL Expert, rrp £949 but I'm paying £559.91 i.e. 41% discount! Best part is it comes out of your wage accross 12 months, interest free. If your company is willing to do it, I think it's a good deal. OK so it's not a £100 jobbie from ebay, but to me i'll save money on Zed Juice by riding to work... www.evanscycles.com/ride2work http://www.evanscycles.com/products/spe ... L%20Expert
  5. +1 Audis have it in red, and I put it in my golf as you can take it from the passat W8. Would be V nice in the zed, particularly if you've some shiny CF bits / CF shifter.
  6. Thanks all!! Sorry for the late reply, I jetted off to Italy in the early hours that day!
  7. Dibs on the Nismo B Pillars if they're available - PM Sent
  8. Have to say, despite VAG cars generally being known for solid 'built like a tank' quality, and although I loved my Golf very much, I seemed to have no end of bad luck with it. 9 months after getting it the radiator pi$$ed itself and needed replacing A mounting bolt in the gearbox sheered, thing damn near needed replacing but managed to salvage it and build a sturdier mount. Both driver & passenger door windows fell off rails into the doors - common problem with the golf, plastic motor brackets snap so easily. MAF sensor - common problem again Very unlucky with punctures / flats. More so given I was running 235/35/19 Pzero Neros Turbo died - yep, literally, the exhaust turbine was absolutely f00ked by 90,000 miles and I had to stick a new one in... opportunity to upgrade & remap of course Since joining the elite jap car owners club, have to say (touch wood) I'm thrilled with the reliability & all round good quality of the zed
  9. Yup, 2nd always tough when cold, as is dropping back into 1st at a junction. It's a given that you should just go easy on it while it's cold anyway, until the temp's up I don't take mine above 3k revs
  10. They really are stunning I think the zed is a hard car to match wheels to without spoiling it, but wow.
  11. I don't know if it's related, but many people have a video monitoring system for issuing parking fines nowadays, not physical people / tickets. A mate of mine recently got a fine through the post from come company monitoring B&Q car park, saying they have photographic proof of his car being illegally parked in the B&Q car park overnight i.e. between the hours of xxPM and xxAM the following day. In actual fact he'd been that night, bought something shoddy and took it back the next morning. No ticket was placed on his window or anything, literally got a letter through the post a week or two later! It might be they clocked you either from a distance and took a picture, or using video monitoring. Cheeky barstewards
  12. I've actually been watching these as I think they've got potential (on my GM I'd probably have them redone GM), but I've not got the money and won't for a while now... so happy to help a fellow zedder if I can! Not sure how good or bad the offsets are as I'm just not clued up on it, sure someone on here will say whether they're good or not... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
  13. Wayne Bridge has stated he won't play for England again while John Terry is still captain. Let's just hope JT sleeps with Heskey's wife now!
  14. Damn I so wanted this, but that's my spends for my hol in a couple of weeks right there
  15. Narrr. Looks like it's trying to be something it's not
  16. Well... had a chat with T-Mobile today and, as HEADPHONES says, it's amazing what they'll do for special 'loyal' customers when you say you're leaving: 16GB black 3GS Handset for £80 £35 per month 800 mins unlimited text unlimited data (fair usage 3GB per month, whereas other networks only allow 750mb) And of course being T-Mobile, the phone is unlocked, so any SIM could go in. Winner Thanks for all the advise, at crunch time it was down to the BB Storm2 and the Wonderphone, but in the end it was an easier decision than I had previously thought... it just had to be didn't it! Gotta wait til tuesday now though, the suspense!
  17. I've just got a couple of Bridgestone RE050's on the front, wow what a difference (although mine were probably illegal by time I changed them )
  18. Years ago the DVLA wouldn't issue 666 plates - I always quite fancied one! really?? I never knew that - everyday is an education! Way I see it: L666 = 'El Diablo' Ol' Nick = another name for the Devil Works in so many ways! Strange thing is, my mobile number also has 666 in it, and my visa ends in 666. Spooky. Maybe a should shave my head and see if I have any signs! Did I mention my middle name's Damien..?
  19. Wouldn't fancy taking the zed up the slopes, there is no way it would make it R Ah true - recent events have proved that!! It'd be a damn sight easier taking the boards to Xscape though (indoor slopes 10 mins from me) I could actually take a passenger with me!!
  20. Only just seen this thread... I drive a Zed, my names Nick, and I got 666 on the number plate :
  21. Sure I've seen your Skyline knocking about (I'm not far, over in Altofts)
  22. Certainly did buddy, thanks I've just been waiting for an oportunity to polish her up and take some snaps to post up, but it looks absolutely I'm over the moon with the results Cheers
  23. I actually would be tempted - Snowboard rack Extreme sports and all, 'tis a bit cooler at least..?
