  1. Jeezus! How? +1 gotta know how one would do this??
  2. hmm nice! Had a taste of that last week; I had the accident Thursday 20th, but the hospital said they had no beds so would send me home potted and get me in for the op the next day or over the weekend - full elbow to finger tip cast and no painkillers, with a fricken bone sticking out anyway, they decided on the sunday that it wasn't accute and that I could wait til the following wednesday! It was really hot, I couldn't move my fingers and it hummed!! I've now got a cast just to the knuckles and between my fingers where they'd stuck together it's all scabbed and sore from sweat & rubbing last week. Needless to say I'm far from impressed on the level of treatment, but glad it's finally on the mend! Holy sh1t! That just made me shudder, ouch!! I'm milking it for all I can at work the got all the girls making me drinks etc... Though I feel pathetic asking them to open bottles for me you get to wipe your A**e count yourself lucky i do feel for you though, i did mine at the start of the summer, ruined the whole summer for me. what you have to look forward to though is not being able to wash your hand properly smelly hand

  4. too true, I'm done with this exercise malarkey, take sways are nice
  5. Thought it was a good idea to join the Ride2Work scheme, get meself a push bike to keep fit and save some petrol money for the daily commute, which for me equates to 5 miles down woods and canals, lovely... A week into it and all is going well, until I set off home from the gym one night, hit a wooden post, over the bars and a good 6ft drop onto a Tarmac path below... Head / wrist first The result; angulated & comminuted fracture of the distal radius, and a fractured scaphoid. Or, one f*cked up wrist, soon as I looked down and saw the shape of it I knew it wasn't good. I've had to have it pulled back into place and a metal plate / two bolts put in to hold it together. And to top it off... NO DRIVING FOR 6 WEEKS!!!! Argh I can't cope. Going to sit outsite in the zed making brum noises Moan over, just wanted to share my pain. The drugs can stop the arm hurting, but they can't do anything about my real pain
  6. I had a lime green one follow me the other day, I bet they're imensely fun but you'd want full window tints; I wouldn't want to be seen in it! It looks like it takes 4x AA Batteries and is controlled with one of these:
  7. My god i bet that sounds awesome!
  8. Superb! Definitely a candidate for the 2011 calendar!!?
  9. lovely looking zed, wheels really suit it
  10. Funnily enough since seeing that post I pass another identical one evey morning on my bike, going through Wakefield. I'll get a pic when I pass it next
  11. one of my favourites this, looks awesome
  12. Awesome, cheers re mixing tyres, I've read all the threads and not overly concerned; been running mixed tyres since I got it with not one issue - in fact the rears are pretty desperate now but still manage to keep on the road
  13. Hey, I need a couple of rear rubbers ahead of the MOT next week, been looking at Bridgestones on camskill as I already run RE040's on the front, the rear currently has some ziex somethin that were on when I got it. Should I go for the RE050's over the RE040's? Prices aren't miles off you see; 245/45R18 96W RE040 - £144.07 245/45R18 96W RE050 A - £151.17
  14. great spot!! Apparently they're in my mates works car park today, rolling a giant plastic pig around or something he's gonna be in Glasgow though so will miss it!
  15. and I'm seriously disappointed in myself; I reckon to know a bit about cars, and yet til this day I'd never heard of a Toyota Levin!
  16. I've been training for around 10yrs now, started off with my dad in the garage full of bars and freeweights, but from 18 hit the gyms. In terms of goals as long as I'm healthy and clothes fit me well I'm more or less happy, but come the summer months I do tend to put some harder training in, an even balance of heavy weights, cardio, swimming And cycling. Work commitments get in the way quite a bit though, also it's bloody expensive some times; protein shakes & 6 small meals a day!
  17. lovely Did you add the forum sticker, or is it a former member on here..?
  18. Yeah I don't think I left it long enough before adding the first layer in, I did a small square piece last night to test my technique, left it two hours to cure before the first layer and used a heat gun to get rid of the air bubbles - worked a treat! Still had mould release problems, but I'm thinking about a wax as well as the PVA release agent (I'm guessing the PVA solution would work as a barrier between the wax and the resin?) I figure you just gotta give things a shot, might suprise yourself! And it'd be nice to then be able to produce some for some fellow happy zed owners!
  19. Thanks, yeah the general shape is there, I think I need to adjust my epoxy / hardner mix a bit. I've made a mould of the Z badge and i'm laminating the carbon fibre into that, 3 layers. It just happened to slot right over the old nissan badge (which could be a bonus actually, saves removing the badge if you don't want to!) I've also had problems with mould release, despite using a PVA release agent, keeps breaking it... costing me some money to develop, hopefully will get there soon!
  20. Bit of an update, no good news so far I'm afraid, bit of a bitch to make and some of the epoxy didn't set well, but perseverance I feel will pay off eventually! Here's images of first attempt, albeit not trimmed to a quality finish since it didn't set well, but just am idea of it...
  21. Cheers yeah everyone always comments on the grille - it was on when I got the car though, think they're around £60-£70, do a google search for billet grille
  22. Where bouts are you / oh and is that a k2 you've got? Had the windows down and sounded awesome as you pulled away from the junction
