  1. way I see it, drive a loud angry car, listen to loud angry music!
  2. Quite a mix: (love the drums on SOAD) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXdSOxEnwWM&feature=youtube_gdata http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gl2EOlhwnIM&feature=youtube_gdata I could go on, iPods on all day at work with calmer elbow, massive attack, zero7 etc, but iPhone batterie's dying and trying to get decent vids on YouTube is boring me enjoy
  3. Spotted parked on Bishopgarth, Wakefield this morning. Looked V1 spoiler and what looked like a K2
  4. If my memory serves me, it was the bolts attaching the mechanism to the door for me, however I imagine if it's the actual window, there'll be access points to do this, just moving the window up/down til you see the bolts (did this on my golf)
  5. I had to do this not long since, dead simple; pop the door card off and tighten the mounting bolts. Easy way to check which bit needs tightening is plug the switch back in with the door card off and move it up / down a bit, it'll become dead obvious
  6. Did you not get any points then?? Just the ban and fine?? I got 3 points and £60 for doing 41 in a 30 in feb, which of course over 3 years would deffo amount to more than £200 in extra insurance cost!
  7. Yup my GF is the same, I looked at alsorts but she adores the zed, plus she'll never drive it because the thought of it scares the bejeezus out of her winner!
  8. Hi MPG wise you can get 28-30mpg taking it steady on the motorway, milling around town and tbh not hanging about i still manage 24mpg. Servicing I imagine is pretty pricey at beemer just because parts will be expensive, I've found bits I've needed for the zed relatively cheap, and there's always someone on here can get you parts / mods. For the money, you'll struggle to get a sound as nice as the Zed; it's awesome, and it's addictive the 330ci is a straight 6 cylinder - zed's a V6, much better! You'll absolutely love it, get some pics up when you've got it!
  9. I had a couple of weeks in Vancouver july last year, staying with family and since I actually aim to move there eventually; I loved it. I love the people, the food, the lifestyle. From beaches to mountains within an hour or so. I went 5hrs into the mountains, through whistler, up to a few wooden cabins on a lakefront with my cousin and a bunch of his friends to party / BBQ / drink - it's awesome. It's worth heading to Vancouver island to the capital, Victoria, too. There's a very English feel to victoria in the architecture etc. But 10 times nicer than London - nice marina, nice weather etc.
  10. Such a mixed response! Anyway, on the back of a PM from Attak Z, I'd like to formally apologise for my foul language... I acknowledge and accept that use of the word 'tootle' on a 350Z forum should be , don't know what I was thinking!
  11. V nice I think this is my favourite splitter
  12. Cheers yeah it's a thought - it depends where I end up really, it could be 10 miles motorway but a different kettle of fish A / B roads, also whether the place has showers as I work office based / shirt & tie. I did get a nice mountain bike on the 'ride2work' scheme - worth about a grand, as it's a nice trek to where I am at the moment; along canals, dirt tracks etc. and takes me 20 mins. Have considered the A4 Cab diesel - would need to be 05+ though (with the full 'swoop' grille) and below 60k miles - tough to get below 10k Also looked at 320cd (coupe or cab) but again, would need to be 05+, below 60k and be 'M Sport'... ... urgh can you see my predicament! Life after zed is going to be tough!
  13. So far I've gone as far as f*cking up my wrist so that I can't drive for 7 weeks, and have to get driven to work every day - if that counts?
  14. Thought the same but i'm sure it will come out, if not i'll sand it down and repaint the whole face matte black and job's is a good'un Why go to all that effort, just buy a GTR! Oh and me likey
  15. Things are a little tight financially at the minute, and so I've been looking around at new jobs. Currently I work 5 miles from home and so have the choice to cycle in, or tootle in in the zed using very little fuel... if I move I may have to travel further and it might force me to have to sell the Zed I hope not, I'll do all I can to keep it... Anyway, I'm always pondering over other cars and what I'd get if I did jack the zed... it would need to be a diesel, but I don't want to be a million miles from the zed i.e. still sporty, sexy styling etc but budget of £10k... so - here's what I came up with... http://www.netcars.co.uk/search/vehicle ... ne-2dr-htm ... however, any self respecting petrolhead knows of Alfa's reputation for reliability, electrics etc. Would this be a stupid move? I'm young, live on my own and don't earn a massive wage by any means, therefore I need something that would be a reliable 'work-horse' yet still fun. Dad's told me his views; "very nice, but I wouldn't get an Alfa, they're crap!" (Postcode link removed)
  16. 7 weeks not driving the Z would save me about £350 in petrol...that'd pay for 2 Falken tyres, 6 months tax and an MOT Put that way, maybe I should wreck my arm more often; I'm paying no fuel, getting lifts to work, and round my parents for my tea most nights! Mum's the only one in the family who can drive for the next month or so, given dad went in for a hernia correction today too... I asked if she'd give the zed a run, but she refuses stating 'it scares the life out of me'. bless her, she's only used to an MX-5
  17. Feel your pain Nixy! I just had exactly the same; Insurance, Tax, MOT, Service & two rear rubbers. Plus my insurance had gone up to £816 this time thanks to 3 points I acquired in February All that and I haven't been able to drive the last 2 weeks, and for the next 5 weeks thanks to my arm Any way I had 912's on mine when I bought it, weren't bad (though mine were bald by the time I replaced them, terrible in wet), I'm on Bridgestone RE050's at the mine and can highly recomend them (from what I remember, it's been ages!)
  18. One of the many things still on my list of things to do
  19. Stealthy!! Looks mean as hell. Would look awesome if you could paint some of the headlight internals black too..?
  20. omg that's gorgeous, congrats!
  21. +1, beat me to it! What were they thinking
  22. Sorry to hear dude, I can sympathise given I can't drive for the next 6 weeks either Hope the op goes well
  23. if only that was the case, I'd not feel so robbed
