Nope, its a renault engine. and a good one too Where did you find this out because the VQ is a Nissan engine range which started in 1994 and Nissan didn't start their relationship until 1999 and everywhere I search it states it's a Nissan engine. And most post this same info on the VQ35DE:- The 3.5 L (3498 cc) VQ35DE is used in many modern Nissan vehicles. It has a bore of 95.5 mm and stroke of 81.4 mm. It uses the same block found in the VQ30DE, but adds variable valve timing. Power output ranges from 231 PS (228 hp/170 kW) to 302 PS (298 hp/222 kW) and torque from 334 N·m (246 ft·lbf) to 363 N·m (268 ft·lbf). The VQ35DE is built in Iwaki and Decherd, TN. It was on the Ward's 10 Best Engines list from 2002 through to 2007. It features forged steel connecting rods, a microfinished one-piece cast camshaft, and Nissan's nylon intake manifold technology. It has low-friction molybdenum-coated pistons and the intake system is a high-flow tuned induction system.

Watched this last night and Clarkson really gets on my nerves sometimes. How can he possibly complain about the noise the 350z makes, it's the best sounding car I have ever owned. And can someone more knowledgeable put this right or not, he mentions the engine is from Renault but one of my mates said this to me a while back and when I done a bit of searching I found that Nissan and Renault formed a partnership but Renault got access to Nissans petrol engines and Nissan got access to Renaults diesel engines not the other way round. So am I right in saying that the engine used in the 350z is a true Nissan engine?

Is this the one where they go to Iceland with the 350z a TT and a Crossfire? Been trying to find clips of that to no avail since I got the Z.

Yes, it's only for people who can't get more cabling into a second room for a second box. This is the case with myself as we have a communal dish. I was contemplating moving my 360 into the bedroom where I currently have the PS3 so I can watch Sky in bed. I don't have a multiroom subscription but read in that case they charge an extra £5 to add your xbox. But if you currently have multiroom and paying the extra £10 subscription anyway it's absolutely free. Which I imagine is only handy for households where their son can use the xbox in their bedroom to watch sky. The fact it is also only standard definition programming makes it even less appealing.

It's quite unbelievable how much prices have actually went up since earlier this year. I bought my 54 plate GT for £10k exactly at end of March, although it had more miles at 45k but seems like an absolute bargain compared to what zeds are going for now.... -
Yes, I have the Z keyring as well. I think it's great value for money.

PCI-e slots. Yes, struggling to find any cards apart from cards around the £30-£50 mark which are obviously quite old technology wise. I always used to get the latest graphics cards and motherboards & processors etc but then got a new HP DC5800 which is a good machine but because it's low profile it's hard to expand. All I have been able to expand so far is a larger hard drive and more memory and runs Windows 7 superbly, not installed any games but was hoping to upgrade the graphics before Modern Warfare 2 comes out.... Although I suppose any graphics card will be better than the on board graphics.....

Is that a full height card? I need to buy a decent graphics card but I can only use a low profile card as it's a slimline PC....

I came from turbo charged cars as well as my past 4 or 5 cars were Saab 95's. The big difference you will see from this owners site and just about every other car owners site is you very rarely see posts about problems people have with their car. On the Saab forums it seems to be the main reason go on is to find a fix for their latest problem and this tends to be the case with most car sites. On here it feels more like an owners club and everyone truly loves their cars, this is only because of 1 reason, the zed is a fantastic car. The fact it is a bit more expensive that the competition makes it a tad more exclusive and you find yourself checking out another zed on the road when you do happen to come across one, which isn't very often... Look at it this way, it's reassuringly expensive You will never regret it if you decide to buy the Zed....and that's a guarantee. -
Tesco clubcard rewards... thanks to my zed!

I could have booked the Olympia for £64 for 4 nights over Christmas without any vouchers. Perk of working for Hilton I suppose Olympia isn't one of the best Hilton's in London though, there are far better hotels in London. You have the likes of Park Lane, the Waldorf, Green Park, The Trafalgar etc etc -
My favourite dinner my good lady makes is a chicken pasta. Obviously chicken breasts diced up with penne pasta but the secret ingredient is Campbells condensed chicken soup, she puts this in with the cheesey sauce and mixes it all together. Best Pasta in the World

Seen this driving in the city centre a week ago but seen it parked up just off Byres road today. It's Kuro with silver GT4 wheels.

I play now and again, used to be my favourite especially play the double up tables as you can't fail to double your money if you can play poker whatsoever..

The FM transmitters work just fine with my Bose. And the bonus is they plug into your cigarette lighter so charge your iPod at the same time.

Of course martin The covers dont require you to remove the handles. They simply stick over the top Sounds good to me, next question is where do you get them from? -

maxi-glasgow replied to nurrish's topic in 350Z Modifications
Didn't realise you could get carbon covers for the doorhandles, does this still require you taking the handles off to fit or can it be applied in place? Just that I have heard they can be a real pain to take off and put on again but fancied putting mines black or carbon might be even better... -
Rear Boot-lid 'Z' badge same size and colour?
maxi-glasgow replied to givememorepower's topic in Wanted
Get once of the Tommy Z badges either from Envy or one of the liquid art ones, the cover the holes perfectly and look very nice. I think I am going to get one of the liquid art ones and still keep my 350Z badge on the left as well to see how it looks. -
Is it not just a case of getting in touch with nominet?

I was the same when I was away my girlfriend took the Zed for a couple of days to work, she drives a Clio and always takes roundabouts in 1st and on the odd occassion 2nd, when she asked if she could take it I said 'yes, but just remember it's not your clio, never take a roundabout in less than 4th gear....' I know what it was like when I picked the car up and entered my first roundabout in 2nd and put my foot down a bit, I never go into a roundabout in anything other than 3rd or 4th now... -
Work in Cairo at least twice a year but have only been to Sharm once, stayed at the Hilton Sharks Bay Resort. Had a suite for free for 4 days, one of the perks of working for Hilton. Couldn't tell you about the beach as never went, I always prefer the pool. I just know it's right by their own private beach so no need for a bus. I have always found the service in Egypt to be first class, as if they can't do enough for you. Whether that's just because it was a Hilton or not I don't know and when I stay in Cairo it's a Conrad hotel so this might be the reason for such good service from the staff....

Grey S2000 with zed eating sticker on it!
maxi-glasgow replied to RichieP's topic in Spotted or Flyered
To a biochemist, however, NOS refers to nitric oxide synthase. So round ye Bulletmagnet Also bulletmagnet, I take it you will also write to Wizards of NOS and tell them that NOS is a company name and not an item -

maxi-glasgow replied to RichieP's topic in Spotted or Flyered
Thankfully I have not had anyone give me a red neck yet but I am now very seriously considering the NOS route after reading thru those two threads yesterday. Gives me the best of both worlds, I can cruise about doing what I do then if someone tries to be a smart arse, just press the button and say ta ta. And that performance piece of mind can be gotten for around the £1k mark.... -
Here are a couple of mines, got black powdercoated GT4 wheels and only other Mod was the Custom Sat Nav from Nurrish on this site:- Custom Sat Nav:-

That is an extremely informative thread from Zedrush, it's actually got me thinking of doing it now, with the controller and window.....
