Yes, the black wheels are defo growing on me. Been toying with the idea of new wheels since I got it and I think this is a great deal so hopefully get the deal done. Sent you a PM GT4ZED......

I never keep any antivirus software running on any of my laptops, PC's etc as they just eat up your processing... 9 times out of 10 any problems you encounter are caused by spyware etc which mostly get by antivirus software anyway. So I just download, install AVG, run a scan, uninstall and carry on every month or two. Think I have only ever had 2 viruses in my lifetime (on the PC's that is...) and nothing too serious that couldn't be cured by the above actions. The amount of times I have been called out to a users laptop that is running like a pig, and when checking it's resources for processes running, 9 times out of 10 it's whatever the antivirus software the company uses is to blame, I have seen this for both McAfee Enterprise and also Sophos. Uninstall, reboot and reinstall fixes it every time.

I'm really looking for different wheels to my standards..... But can't decide if I like black wheels on a Kuro.....

As you say there can't be many Red Nismos but one just passed me going into the Clyde Tunnel about 30 minutes ago...... Surely can't be the same car....

When I have tape selected all sound from the device goes thru the speakers, so music and sat nav lady giving directions come thru the Bose. Absolutely superb. I am still using the phone bluetooth which is built in the 350z, but really considering using the bluetooth of the sat nav device instead.

There is a flimsy ribbon cable which connect the switches to the Air Con control unit underneath where the stereo is fitted, so it might be something simple like it's came a bit loose or perhaps they have jammed it under the new stereo and it's broke the ribbon. The panel the switches are connected to just pulls off very easily to get access to the ribbon and control unit so you can easily check it.

Bought one of the custom units being made by Nurrish (as seen here viewtopic.php?f=32&t=24395 ) and was very fortunate to have a new user on here Craig (cmmd11483) to give me a hand, well I say give me a hand, what I really mean is I would hold something up for him every now and again as I hadn't a clue what to do and he done just about everything. Couldn't be more pleased with the unit, boots up really fast and after the initial boot up you can just put it to sleep rather than switch it off so it comes on instantaneous when you press the button. Craig also done the Bose hack where he wired it into the tape deck inputs and the quality is superb. I can't recommend these units enough, the display is superb, even with the screen protector still in place it's very bright and easily read even in very bright sunshine. I had been looking at a Car PC before opting for this device and the cost difference is immense with this system being a mile cheaper than Car PC devices. And it comes preinstalled in a retracable cubby so you don't even need to have any hassle mounting the display etc. I know these cubby's come with a lighter coloured door but I actually quite like the contrast of the charcoal grey door against the darker surrounds. Set's it off. Showed a few friends it already and they are mightily impressed. So just like to thank Nurrish for getting it built and delivered so quickly and an absolutely massive thanks to Craig Mitchell for installing it for me So that's my first Mod complete, what's next?

I got one of the first HD installs when it was released in time for the World Cup a couple of years ago and I have never regretted it. HD channels have been growing since then and I am happy with the amount of HD channels right now, seems to be more getting added every 3 or 4 months. The difference when you watch a Premiership match in HD and then switch back to Sky Sports 1 or 2 is amazing, the lines on the park are crystal clear, you can read all the sponsorship signs easily etc etc I also watch a lot of Discovery etc and Movies and with regard to Movies I always check to see if an HD version is running first before watching ANY film. Yes, it's worth £10 a month. Don't believe there is any special install. It uses the same cables from your existing dish, as long as you have two cables. My advice to anyone is go get it. In regards to SD being crap on Sky, it depends what channel your talking about, channels like UKgold etc use a lower bandwidth/bitrate so are obviously of a lower quality. I have watched Sky at mates house and all the channels look pixelated etc but look good on my TV. I think a lot to be said about certain brands of TV over others, I would never look past Samsung.

Very nice place, I have had to come indoors for a little while as it's 37C today in Cairo and it's supposed to get up to 41C later in the week..... I'm no doubt going to be like a lobster tonight, doesn't matter how much suncream I use it always happens. Scots and hot weather don't mix -
Whats the difference between Jap spec Rays and UK Rays? How much are you looking for and what are the tyres like?

I have used a few Windows based handsets and they are very frustrating to use for simple things like text messages etc but I got an HTC Touch Diamond when they came out and due to it's TouchFlo 3D interface it makes it very easy to do text messages, make phone calls etc and I would never change it for any other phone, especially an iPhone. I even have TomTom Navigator 6 installed so with the inbuilt GPS device I just stick it in my Ipod drinks holder and it works a dream. Plus with it still having Windows installed there are millions of little apps you can install.

My last 4 cars have all been Saab 95 Aeros and I swore I would never change. My last one was just turning 4 and cost £7,200 from a dealer showroom..... What other make of car can you get a £27k+ car when new, have 250BHP, 0-60 in under 6 seconds and still only group 16 for that kind of money. They drop money like a stone but if your intending keeping them then a great car to buy. Even though they don't hold their value, I sold mines after I got the Zed, it was a 52 plate, had done just over 150k in miles and sold it for £2,400. The only two downsides were the complete lack of handling and from a standing start you would just wheel spin for fun if you tried to put the foot down in anything other than absolutely bone dry conditions. Downside of front wheel drive.

I know I am being a bit dumb here, but I assume that spacers go between the wheel and the hub? So I take it they push the wheels further out into the arches? Is this purely a visual mod or does it have any handling gain?

What is the sensor behind the rear mirror?
maxi-glasgow replied to maxi-glasgow's topic in 350Z General
Cheers, it's been bugging me for weeks. Will still fix it, even though I don't use a cradle only the bluetooth. -
I can't see it mentioned in the manual anywhere, but I have a long black plastic thing, about 6 inches long by about half an inch deep, which has a wire attached and should be glued onto the windscreen at the top, right behind the rear view mirror. But the glue has worn out and it's dangling, only noticed it recently and keep meaning to put a bit of silicon glue to re-attach but it's bugging me what it's for?

I work for Hilton Hotels and we have a reservation centre in Cadogan Square, we have our own covered car park when you come in the service road that shares the entrance with the Marriot.

I work in Glasgow, next to the Marriot Hotel near Finnieston, and was going to get my hair cut in a barbers on Sauciehall street so took the 350z since it was so hot outside and would need to walk up a massive hill otherwise (any excuse I know ) Parked just off Bath Street in a parking bay and walked over the road to get a pay and display ticket. Started walking back and guy with suit on had walked round the corner and stopped and was looking in the drivers window. I was walking along the front of the car by this time and pressed the keyfob to open the door, guy stood up and said 'just perving over your car mate', I started laughing and opened the door as he started walking away. Put the ticket on the dashboard and he turned back and asked what I thought of the car. I explained how fantastic it was, so he chatted for a little while asking when I got it etc and then went on his merry way after saying how much he liked them. But moments like this give you a big beaming smile to know other people appreciate how good our cars look.
-
How much are you currently paying per litre over there?
-
I know someone else has already asked, but do you know what issue this will be in? Looks fantastic mate

Seen a Kuro black parked on Dumbarton Road in Yoker last night. Also pretty sure I seen a white 350z parked down a side street on way to tunnel on the road directly from front entrance of Ibrox. Only white one I have seen. Also seen a blade grey soft top SD05 xxx parked just off Bath Street today when I went to get my mop cut. -

How do you clean it? Won't it ever stretch or anything? -
I was getting that and got all new Redstuff pads from CS on here. When my mate was swapping them over, none of the pads were down to the metal, but the sounds had me thinking there was nothing left on them... That's why I got them done right away, frightened in case I would end up needing to get new discs as well.

Absolutely horrific episode, can't imagine what your missus is going thru let along you. The should not just be deported, they should be deported to serve prison sentence back home. That way it's absolutely no drain on our tax money apart from court case and ticket home. Their own country should fit the bill for their incarceration. This is something which should be done for any immigrants who serve prison sentences here, their home country should fit the bill. The same should happen if a UK citizen is in Poland and gets sent to prison, the UK should fit the bill. Only fair that the home nation pays for it's citizens.

I bought my Zed just outside Belfast and brought it back home on the Larne-Cairnryan ferry with absolutely no problems. I take it the ferry you went on was only a small ferry?
