Anyone know anything about Tokyo 350z scene?
maxi-glasgow replied to maxi-glasgow's topic in 350Z General
What I found strange was how much MORE expensive electronics devices were compared to here. I had just bought myself a Sony HDR-SR12E HD Camcorder and when I looked it up in their big department stores it was nearly £100 dearer... Even things like the Nintendo DS were more expensive. I was going to buy my little girl a new DSi as they had just been launched over there and weren't due here for a few months but it was roughly £185 and then I found out that it was region locked which is something the standard DS isn't. -

Yes, we got the bus back to the airport. Never forget that taxi journey though, we were sitting in the back and the missus dunts me and points to what we think is the meter and it's up at 35,000. I'm doing the quick maths in my head and say 'nah' that must be for something else, it can't be the cost....Doh! -
I have bought a few cars on HP attached to the car, if you don't intend keeping a car long term it's a good way of being able to change every few years. As once you have paid half you can simple hand the car back and the debt is considered repaid, not a lot of people realise this and don't make use of it. That's the difference with HP on the car and a personal loan. A personal loan cannot be written off by handing the car back etc, you need to pay it in full.

And here we see the Zed in it's natural habitat......(obviously you need to imagine David Attenborough talking quietly so as not to alert the Zed) Absolutely cracking photo....How the hell did you get it in there, or is there a path we can't see?

Thanks guys for that info, looks like I might need to rope in someone from the office to take me then I was there in December but didn't have the Nissan bug at that time so wasn't even thinking about it. I was in Ginza though so will defo go back and visit the showroom. Last time I was staying in the Conrad hotel overlooking the bay, I think this time I will be staying in the Tokyo Hilton as that is where I will be mostly working as our external office is moving in to share office space with another Hilton department. Was without doubt the most expensive city I have ever visited, that's for sure. Think our room in the Conrad the last time was approaching £500 per night, thank fook the company was paying We were told just to jump in a taxi from Narita airport to the hotel, it cost me roughly £240!!!!!!!!!!!!! On expenses of course -
Went on their site when you posted that as I am looking for a spoiler which I can fit which wouldn't require me to have the boot and spoiler repainted and seen this. You fit it right over the top of the OEM lip spoiler.... http://www.spoilerdepot.com/spoilers/2003-on-nissan-350z-coupe/item-02134/ Any of the traders here do models like this?

Cheers for that, just signed up and posted a message on there, see if I get any joy. -
I will be working in Tokyo at the end of September for a week or so and I understand they have very regular meets with all their modified cars in Tokyo so was wondering if anyone has any info or where I can find out where and when they meet so I can arrange to have a look while I'm there. I was there working in December and it was then I seen a few 350z's that made me start looking for one when I got back home and finally bought mines in March. I'm also led to believe that their manner of modifying their cars is on a different planet to what we see here. Hope to bring back loads of photo's to see what they are doing. Any help would be most appreciated as wouldn't want to miss this opportunity.

Possibly the best donuts in the world, remember seeing the booth in Heathrow on my way home from somewhere last year and bought two boxes of them... Got to security gate and they made me open the boxes because if any of them had fillings I couldn't take them on the plane!!!!! What a rumpus that caused, never take a mans donuts!!!! Never!!!! Luckily I had only picked 3 donuts with fillings, so scoffed the lot then went thru I thought you could get them delivered from Harrods as they have a store as part of them. But had a look and can't see it. Would be worth paying thru the nose for them. Damn you Nixy!!! I hadn't thought of KK Donuts for ages....

Yes, I missed Halfords last night trying to buy some....

They are Avon Z33 tyres.

The tyres do feel completely different to the stock Bridgestones. Took it easy on the way home so need to test them out in the coming days Unfortunately I don't think I could lower the car as we have really big speed bumps getting into the company car park, I need to crawl over them as it is and I sometimes still hear something touch them...

Having received the black GT4 wheels from GT4ZED on the site today I decided to give the car a wash and get some outside pics taken which I haven't had a chance to do since getting the car detailed a few months ago. So here you go, I was in two minds about black wheels on a Kuro but now that they are on I love them to bits, makes the car look a bit meaner. Next thing is a stubby My fav pic is last

I was up in Oban on Saturday and I reset the computer before we left and I sat at mostly 60mph in between times of overtaking some slowcoaches and also some coaches When I got to Glasgow the computer was saying I had achieved an average of 32.6mpg. Was very impressed.

CS sells the yellowstuff pads for £119 including VAT and delivery, for the sake of £5 I think it's better supporting our very own traders. I bought a full set of redstuff pads off CS and got them delivered the very next day, I am extremely pleased with the stopping power of these pads both when cold and hot. They are superb. And they only cost £109

Does anyone know the name of the boot spoiler on this model? That's the one external thing I would like to change on mines, to take the standard lip spoiler off and get a nice spoiler, but I would prefer to find a spoiler that would cover the full area of the lip spoiler then I could try and source a carbon fibre spoiler to save me having to get the full boot and spoiler resprayed as mines is a Kuro. This spoiler looks like it covers the full area of the lip spoiler or perhaps the picture is deceiving. -
What he said ^^ It took me about 30mins to fit & about 10mins to remove I take it you didn't like it? This is possibly the one item I have been considering, engine bay wise, to fit so would like to hear peoples thoughts on whether it sounds good or not? At the last Glasgow meet I meant to ask if anyone had one of these fitted to hear what the difference was...

Swedish Nightclub Vs British Nightclub :D
maxi-glasgow replied to nurrish's topic in Off Topic Discussion
In the very last pic at the bottom, is the thing in the middle a guy or gal Either way I think the proper name is Monster!!! Seeing the Swedish girls in the pics remind me going to Tallinn where we had an office, the girls were absolutely stunning, every single one of them.....It was like a freak of nature, but in a good way -
Very good.... I have been trying to find footage from the test they done on top gear in Iceland when they compared the 350z, Audi TT and the Crossfire but not having much luck....
-
I think it all comes down to your ariel. I know there is a user up here in Scotland who fitted it himself with a screen and he has two ariels, one in each back small windows and pretty sure he said he gets a great picture, whether moving or not.
-
The biggest criticism I couldn't understand was when he said it was noisy and not a good noisy. I don't think I have sat in a car which sounds as good as the 350 so surely they haven't changed much in the 370 regards the roar of the engine and exhaust??? That to me just proves he hates Nissan (Datsun)

Probably my favourite so far taken after getting first detail:- Still not taken a photo when gleaming in the sunshine...
