  1. Abbey, once you sort the dates out I could check and see if I can get you a cheap room at the Hilton in Aberdeen (I presume this is where we are going?) If we are lucky this will keep your costs down so therefore keep our price down, everyones a winner
  2. Superb Bud, Ally does an absolutely superb job. Only problem is you never want to get it dirty again....
  3. I shouldn't be too far away from you either as I just stay in Partick. Anything you want to see just let me know. You won't regret moving to the Zed that's for sure.
  4. So do those lids just go over the top of the existing lids as I don't see any clips on the carbon lids themselves?
  5. Came off the M8 at the Kingston bridge right behind me, was a 54 plate and think it ended in something like DZZ. When I made a right hand turn they moved slowly to the side to have a good look. Very nice.
  6. I presume since it's Stew organising this that the venue is going to be in Aberdeen, would that be correct?
  7. What would be good to see as I can't find any details about this and it seems it might be something that everyone would like to know. 1. In a standard 350Z pre-06 without any mods what typical gain could you expect. 2. In a 350z pre-06 with plenum spacer the only mod would the gain be more? 3. In a 350z pre-06 with plenum spacer and hi-flow cat exhaust would the gain be even more? I know it's not possible to give an answer to every configuration, but I think a lot of people have these two mods done or perhaps one or the other and it would be good to know if it's pointless getting a remap if you are in category 1. I know it gives 100% throttle in all gears, but did I not read previously that this is what the Throttle Controller was doing that EP Racing were selling and this is why you feel a difference with this in sports mode? I would really like to get mines remapped, but apart from the rear box swapped for a K2 and putting a hi flow filter in my standard air box I don't have any mods so wonder if it's a waste of time or not. If it would make a big difference I might consider installing a plenum spacer and then get it mapped.
  8. When my Acer Aspire Bluray laptop went up in smoke I went to buy a new one and spotted a touch screen model in Comet for around £650 so bought it there and then. It is superb, the touch screen is amazing, it's supports Microsoft Multi-Touch so you can move photo's about the software and use two fingers to expand and rotate it, just like the iPhone but on a far bigger scale. Makes the iPad look pants as it can't do a fraction of what you can do with a laptop. Model number is Acer Aspire 5738PG, make sure of the letters after the numbers as they have loads of different 5738 models. I got my daughter another 5738 model which I got free with a 3 mobile broadband deal. It works out I am paying something like £80 more than the cost of the laptop over the 2 years, but getting to pay a monthly fee rather than stump up front and also needed to get broadband for my daughter as she stays with her Mum.
  9. Yes, you can drive it while waiting in the post. I forgot all about me renewal notice that came thru and it was due on the Monday which was first day of the month, so on the Sunday night I thought I would need to go into the post office on Monday for it, but it states online it can take up to 5 days and your covered during this period while your waiting.
  10. I am waiting on Dastek phoning me back, as the unichip site says the 350Z needs to be done live, so it's not just a blanket flash like you would get with a standard car remap. So looks like it's done via rolling road etc so sounds better than a simply piggy back system.
  11. Just looked at their site and they actually have the power graph for a 350Z, quoting +20BHP extra and +26 lb.ft torque which is what generally seems to be the results Abbey and others are reporting....
  12. I take it your not allowed to post on the forums Alex? I was thinking about getting this done myself...
  13. I quite like the 370Z decals on the yellow one I'm kinda leaning the same way, when you see it on the side it reminds you of a GT3 Porsche......
  14. I passed a silver one on the M8 on Sunday. As I was driving up behind it I was wondering what the hell it was... Looked very nice indeed, would be a good compromise to having those extra seats.
  15. I drive past them everday as well and never even noticed it Last time I was in they had a black one sitting. By the time I realised they had a yellow one it had already been sold ( although still currently advertised ). Nissan will definitely source one for you though Jay. I asked them about availability of yellow or white and within half an hour they called me back saying they could get me a car delivered to Aberdeen within 7-10 days After reading that finance article it seems very appealing but I always told myself the only way I will change the 350 was to upgrade to a GTR... But I was looking on nissan.co.uk and you can build the 370z and Yellow is not a colour option???? So how are yous all seeing yellow ones if they don't even allow you to select one on their site??? The 370Z Black Edition has nearly got me hooked though......
  16. Just checked and it says Vatican City is 2.5km away, the hotel is set in 15 acres of private park with 4 swimming pools and lots to do. And it IS a Waldorf Astoria hotel. You can see it here:- http://www.waldorfastoria.com/search/property-details.cfm?intPropertyId=13
  17. Don't know how close it is but the Hilton Cavalieri is supposed to be something else.... Supposedly one of our better hotels, think they either are or about to upgrade it to become part of the Waldorf Astoria range so must be cracker.
  18. Passed by it as it was sitting in the queue for the M8 East Bound. I was heading straight thru onto Argyle street. Really nice in Yellow. Is it only the GT4 which is in yellow?
  19. I don't think they look the same at all. The K2 looks a bit more like standard than the Scorpion. Tailpipe on the Scorpion looks like single thickness steel, whereas the K2 looks like double thickness if you know what I mean....not the best description...
  20. I only got the K2 back box and a mate fitted it using the pit in his work. When first fitted it was miles lopsided, with drivers side tailpipe tight against the bodywork and the left hand side pipe about 6 inches down. He had to bend some of the brackets to try and straighten them up. Got the right hand pipe about perfect and the left hand pipe slightly lower but not enough that it would bother me too much, although would obviously prefer them to be in a perfect line...
  21. I paid £60 to get a dent out my driver door which looked the shape of a golf ball... Guy done an amazing job but if you stand and watch you will crap yourself as he is banging away at your bodywork with what looks like a punch and hammer.... But the punch is made of some kind of wax and it leaves all little marks which he then polishes away when finished, but it look horrendous when he is doing it. He puts a metal bar with rubber end down between your window and the door skin and works the dent out. I thought it was a bargain at that price to have my car looking good again. Alternative was get it repaired and painted, how much would that cost???
  22. Was coming back up to Glasgow from Ayr this morning and coming thru the average speed cameras I always set the cruise control to 50 so I don't make a mistake with my foot and pay the price for it. Was in the outside lane going by slower traffic and this silver Mercedes was tailgating me, doing my box in. So as soon as I hit the last speed camera I was already sitting in 3rd in anticipation and gave it some beans and left him for dead, had about 3 cars pull out right in front of me on the way back and then a lorry which was stopped in the inside lane decided that me coming flying up was the perfect time to pull out and go round a transit van which was half parked up on the kerb....Didn't think I was going to stop in time... Mercedes had caught back up by now so gave it some juice again and he went out of site, then as I was passing a black BMW I thought something looked off, I was maybe doing around 80 so pulled in front of it and was looking in my mirror, noticed it had an aerial and thought I could see two small squares in the front grille. Immediate thought was unmarked police car. So sat about 75 and was plenty space between us, pulled out to go by a lorry and a couple of cars were between me and them so put my foot down a bit and noticed them moving out, the mercedes was also back right behind me, so I moved in and sat around 70. The Merc and couple more cars went past and as the BMW was going past they sat right at my rear quarter panel for a minute before pulling away. Let them go a fair bit into distance then I pulled out and caught them up. The BMW was right behind the Merc now and the Merc was behind a car holding him up, as soon as that pulled in off he went with obviously his foot to the floor. Noticed the black smoke coming out back of BMW as he floored it and within 2 minutes all his lights were flashing, pulled the Merc onto hard shoulder and I had a sigh of relief thinking it could easily have been me if I wasn't paying attention.... So any Scottish owners watch out, it was either a 335 or 535 diesel, with either an 07 plate or 57 plate.... Feeling lucky now, so off to pick some horses at Cheltenham
  23. I agree about shouldn't be parking there, it's just that I have never heard anyone getting penalty points for parking that's all. And by the looks of it plenty of other people are unaware of this also, so something to look out for in the future.... I've pulled into a bus stop in the past waiting to meet up with someone, won't be doing that again. I'll just sit on double yellows instead
