  1. I take it you already have the GT5 Prologue? Not really a fan of the series I am afraid, yes it looks good, but when I played the demo etc I just find the physics unrealistic You can drive one of the Ferrari's round that course in the demo and not make it round a bend at 40MPH..... I have both the 360 and PS3 and I find more and more blockbusters are coming out on the 360.. Looking forward to Test Drive Unlimited next edition which is due out later this year which is this time set in Ibiza so you can drive round the whole island.... And I know I am contradicting myself as TDU is by no means realistic, but it doesn't claim to be, it's an arcade experience and looks like the dogs danglies.
  2. I don't know if I am making this simplistic or not, but would it not be possible to spend some money upgrading the internals and then installing NOS in the form of 150 shot which would take a 297 up to 447, albeit at the push of a button
  3. Yes, it was Opie I bought it from as well and I got the emails saying it was changing name. I also got an email today saying they are doing a 30% discount on everything until 18th May so perfect time to order the oil up.....
  4. It's time to get an oil change done, and the last time I done it I ordered Silkolene Pro S 5w-40 Ester Synthetic. Would anyone recommend to stay with this oil or is there a better oil out there? I don't do any track days etc but I like to put the foot down from time to time if that makes any difference.
  5. Easy!!! The Showcase is in Coatbridge, not Glasgow!!! Unless you were at the other one in which case that's Paisley and you can be thankful you weren't stabbed
  6. On the sunset car pics, is it just me or does he not have a strut brace???
  7. I have been using mines for 2 days now and never lost the wifi signal from all different rooms and even in work today...
  8. The engine is the only thing that looks worth keeping...it looks awesome.
  9. It says on the advert only 297 were ever made but if you read up on Lotus Carlton there were 320 Carltons and 630 Omegas. They were £48k new so this must be one of the best depreciating cars that Vauxhall have ever made If I was spending that kind of dough it would be on a new GTR...
  10. Are we any further forward with potential dates. It's just I am going down to Manchester on the 2nd June to take the missus to the Lady Gaga concert and if this doesn't go ahead I might as well try and get booked in with RS Tuning while I am only a stones throw away. Would hate to not arrange anything then this doesn't happen and have to make a long trip purely to get the tune done.
  11. As long as it's for dough Perhaps not so fair though since I'm just back from Bridlington where I played with the Scotland team which won the European Masters at 8 ball pool.....
  12. Yes, but I am away just about every weekend playing in various pool tournaments so when it comes to things like this I like to try and make up for it a little bit. In other words, a big sook.
  13. Exactly, usually when items like this come out in the States we pay the same value in pounds as they do in dollars so we are getting a far better deal than usual. I bought the missus an iphone on pay as you go for her birthday and cost roughly £450 from Orange. Now you can get the 32GB ipad for a few quid more.....
  14. Your missing out then, got myself one on Saturday from a guy in Glasgow who's Dad bought two in Chicago when he was stuck in the States due to the Ash cloud and it's absolutely fantastic... I haven't even bothered doing what everyone else is doing and created a US itunes account, I can still buy and download apps for the ipad on the uk store, you just can't do it directly on the ipad until the uk ipad itunes store opens... Not stopped playing with it... Web browsing on it is so crisp and clear, it's an absolute joy browsing the web with this baby. Only problem so far is BBC iplayer, it won't allow you to use the mobile section as it recognises the ipad as a computer.... Apparently it was working a week or two ago and BBC took away the facility for ipad users until it's released in the UK!!!!
  15. But is this not the exact same thing as thousands of Dads do when their Sons pass their driving test. They insure the son's car in their name and add the son as a named driver until he is old enough to see the premiums coming down. When my insurance was due Admiral bumped up their premium even though there was no claims. I said I was going elsewhere and then I got a call from a guy in their multi car department. As my fiance has a car we took a multicar policy and my insurance dropped from over £600 for the year to just over £300 per year and her insurance on her Clio nearly halved as well... Definitely the way to go if you have more than one car in the household, they can be running at different times as well, it's not like the two cars need to expire at the same time.
  16. Here are a couple of pics with the new bonnet. Really pleased. Even looks good without being painted or wrapped but need to get it done either way I think..
  17. I'll get a pic on later today as car was absolutely filthy...
  18. Looks absolutely stunning Jay
  19. Must say a big thanks to Alex for being extremely helpful today. Went up to Alex's house and he fitted a new bulge bonnet for me, taking my old bonnet off my hands and also supplied me with a Plenum Spacer which had just came back into stock. Bonnet is superb, even in matte black on a Kuro Zed Alex gives superb service and takes the time to have a chat. Really appreciated Alex, hopefully see you on Thursday.

    Matte zed?

Have you picked up your car yet Jay, it was today you were getting it back wasn't it?
  21. I do still intend on using the bike in the gym every time I go, and also the press thing for my legs so it's not like I will ignore them completely. But it's my upper body which need the most work, I don't reckon it will take me that long to see a good improvement. Seagull comment was a cracker Thanks for all the advice though.
  22. I have had a gym membership for about a year now with the payment coming out every month and me going to start next week, and then the following week etc... Definitely going to start next week One question as you guys all seem to know these kind of answers, I am only interested in building up muscle on my upper body, arms, chest, abs etc To build muscle best would you take a lower weight and do lots of repititions or a larger weight and do fewer repititions but be really pushing yourself to achieve them? I would have thought the larger weights would be best for quicker results in muscle building but know nothing about it?
  23. I just hope it's not the first weekend in June as I will be up in Inverness....
  24. Think it may have been quite a few years ago when she was last called a girl.....
