I know I have been bursting rtbiscuits head with all my questions about them... Wait till he sees how many PM's he gets when I have GOT the car

Bought my 54 plate Kuro 350Z from Belfast in March 2009 and never thought I would ever be in this position of moving on, but the day will come on Wednesday when I am due to pick up my new car, fingers crossed there are no hold ups as getting a bit excited now.. Have to say this is the very first owners forum I have ever been on which I have no intention of leaving, everyone is so nice and you always get a good laugh when you have a little break in the day and see whats happening. Everyone has been so helpful and made some friends. Big thanks to Alex for the passenger ride round knockhill, never forget it and also for the bonnet and advice you gave when asked. Big thanks to the countless number of people who I have pm'd during my time here and never once ignored me when I kept asking questions. So whats the new car? Get some better photo's when I pick her up but these will do for now. Its a Jaguar XKR 4.2 Carbon Fibre Limited Edition of which there are only 50 Coupes in the UK. Think it has every available optional extra added and I am now counting the hours to pick it up. Decided to keep my Northern Ireland number plate, not because it means anything but it hides the age of the car so just waiting on the dealer transferring it over and dealing with everything for me. The dealer was probably one of the best I have ever dealt with and without doubt by far the best buying experience I have ever had. He even gave me a full 6 month full parts and labour warranty with it. And the car has a full Jaguar main dealer service history and all in the one garage in Scotland since new. I will be back on in the next few days as I will have a D1 Spec Throttle Controller, Summit Strut Brace and full set of standard wheels and good tyres to sell for very reasonable prices

This debate could get interesting.................

But that itself is followed by 268, which has this within it: "In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right." Indeed. There's no legal definition of "congested", it could be one car causing congestion by being in the wrong lane. The fact that the Highway Code states you should only overtake on the right does not make it illegal to overtake on the left, just not desirable. As long as you are not breaking any laws (speeding etc) then passing traffic while driving in the inside lane is not inherently illegal. If the police are going to clamp down on people who undertake are they then going to take action against people who do no sit on the inside lane when there is not another car in site? I travel on the M8 between Airdrie and Glasgow almost daily after midnight and some nights you only pass a car every few minutes and the amount of times some knobhead just sits in the middle lane sitting at 60 does my box right in. I will be sitting with the cruise control on set at 70 and travelling in the inside lane and have to travel out two lanes to go past them and back into the inside lane again. The odd time I will just stay on my course in the inside lane. Does that not sound ridiculous that I'M the one who could be punished for that? -
Looking awesome and some cracking shots. Now for the critique Is your drivers window broken as it's down in every shot whereas the passengers window is always up. Think it would look better either both down or up. See the photographer in some of the shots in reflections, tut tut Irfan But it's saying something if thats the only two things that I would have changed

Glasgow Motor Company? Yes, that was the one. Was in really nice condition too.

Went along this morning but bad news, it was already sold and away. Done a quick search and found another 07 plate with 21k miles on it in garage in Paisley, so went to see it and it had a big sold sign on it. When I asked it was sold yesterday!!! So stood drooling over the 59 plate GTR Black edition they had, but £49k was just outside my budget Thought we were in the middle of a recession an hard to sell 350z's in this climate

Just been really busy with a few ventures on the go.

I'm not doing anything this Saturday so could pop along, drop me a text Jay if you do go and I'll drop you a text when I go if not heard from you. Or maybe two sets of eyes are better than one.

Yes, sounds very good indeed. Powering on when you start the car is not a big problem though, I wouldn't spend too much time getting that working. As long as you have a simply button you simply press to turn it on. There will be times you will jump in the car and don't use it and leave the cubby closed anyway. I have gotten used to opening the cubby and pressing the button as and when I want to use it. -
Don't think I have ever filled it. Always down around the quarter tank and stick in £20 or £30 when it gets close to bottom line or if the DTE ever flashes. £20 tends to do me a day or maybe 2. But petrol station right across the road from me so it's probably too handy for me hence why I don't bother filling it.

Anyone else receive their invite to opening of Infiniti centres, looks like two will open, one in Birmingham and one in Braehead in Glasgow. Nice pair of chopsticks in the invitation as well as there will be Sushi being made by Kumiko Hatori. It says there will be 6 models coming to these shores but they only show you 3 in the pack. Infiniti FX which is like an X5 type vehicle. Infiniti M which looks like a BMW 5 series challenger. Infiniti G37 Convertible.

I only pay £50 per month for both my Zed and the missus Clio on Admiral Multicar policy. Getting close to renewal time on my car though so see what the renewal fairy brings, it always boils my blood when they give you a good deal then a year later when time to renew it jumps up. I have spent every year jumping from More Than to Admiral and back again etc. It always puzzles me why they offer good deals to new customers but boot their existing customers in the haw maws. I have always been taught that retention of existing business is just as good if not more important than attracting new business, insurance companies seem to work to the opposite mind set.

I play poker frequently. I bet on the horses now and again, but i have to agree with post above, my mate owns a horse and his horse will run down the field a few times then when its a decent price it has always delivered. Plenty times the same trainer has had favourite in the race as well and he will tell me its not trying...

Only thing which was impressive was the stig driving that rally car challenge..

I got the Mont Blanc Meisterstück Wallet, 6 cc as a present from the missus, she also bought me the two pen wallet type holder since I had the pen and pencil set. Love Mont Blanc stuff and this wallet has lasted me much longer than any other wallet. Highly recommend it. It's also subtle in styling with the trademark black and white logo on the front.

Whatever you do, do not buy a back box from Nissan. Will be miles cheaper buying a K2 or similar.
-
Just back from London so bought two boxes of 12 from Stanstead. An assorted box and a dozen just glazed. Every single checkin or security cracked the same joke about how they will need to confiscate them was getting less amusing as they went on.
-
Nearly wet myself there, went onto the KK website and clocked the delivery service only to find its only available in LONDON!!!!
-
OMG, please tell me your not joking about them opening in Glasgow?????? When i was down in Manchester for the Lady Gaga concert we brought back 4 boxes from the outlet near the Deansgate. Folk in work thought i was off my nut how much i was raving about KKs until i took a box of normal glazed in. If you have not tried a normal glazed KK then i am afraid you should never be allowed to mentioned the word doughnut!!

That is one of those things that grind my gears. You are paying a photographer for their time and expertise to take photos, so how are the resultant photos THEIR property. Nissan built the 350z so when you buy the car do you need their permission to modify or use it? Do microsoft need permission from each individual programmer before they can sell each individual copy of office? If i pay someone to design a website for me, i would expect once its complete to use that template as often as i would like and if they said no i would use someone else.
