  1. Sorry for sidetracking, I only ask because the S/C setup in my bro's car doesn't have a FRS. I do wonder tho whether his choice of using an AEM Engine Management System makes up for it.
  2. Failing finding one B&Q have MDF that you could use as a suitable replacement
  3. Could someone please explain what the FRS actually does apart from returning fuel to the tank? I mean why is it needed?
  4. You can still see a tyre gap.........Rejected as alternative!!!!
  5. You do need to venture out of the red light district you know.....
  6. You could install two, one on each end, one pushing and one pulling thus creating an airflow. PC fans would be a good option since they are cheap and durable and run off 12v voltage
  7. Looking real good, love the braided cables I may have missed it, but are there any fans to cool the amp compartment? I imagine it will get quite warm with three amps in there.
  8. Thanks Only prep I did was clean the surface with Megs All Purpose Cleaner, no smoothing or filler was used. 3M and Hexis vinyls do adhere well to the plastics, hairdryer or heatgun is your friend.
  9. Mine was touching, let me tell you. The sound of CF grinding on a curb is horrible
  10. There's a nice Teppenyaki/Sushi restaurant 15 mins walk from the main train station. Called Genroku
  11. On the topic of personal plates I will have quote a wise man. Perhaps, Mmmm. But, you know, this is the one. Yes, yes yes... I saw three of these parked outside the local Starbucks this morning, which tells me only one thing. There's too many self-Indulgent wieners in this city with too much bloody money!
  12. Indeed Sam, that's what I think too. The surge back shouldn't happen in the first place as it could damage the charger, even if it's in the long run. And considering that the Rotrex is sold as a sealed unit, it's even more important to avoid any surge back. One of the authorised sellers for Rotrex, TTS, said that once the sealed unit is damaged or opened, they get scrapped and replaced. FYI, the BOV in above vid is open during idle and when the engine revs, it starts to close and is fully shut on wide open throttle.
  13. You want to choose something that isn't highly abrasive, the likes of Autosol would be considered too abrasive, whereas the Megs Metal Polysh is not as abrasive.
  14. Saw some guys with Virgin Media hi-vis outside my house earlier. Asked them what they were doing and they said they were pulling cable in prep for my install in a few days
  15. It's a topic my brother and his friends on the Celica forums have been discussing at great length, but I wanted to pick the brains of all the S/C owners on here. Now look at the vid and tell me whether the BOV should be open while on idle and only close when engine needs the charge. To me it makes sense, since the S/C setup has no waste gate and thus any unneeded "boost" should be expelled to the atmosphere. My bro is running a Rotrex and a Tial BOV with a 3psi supercharger spring in it. Previously, the guy that fitted the whole S/C setup had a 13psi turbo spring in it that caused "fluttering" on idle, which we believe to be to be excess "boost" going back to the charger, which is bad. Please give me your insights, thank you
  16. You could become members of the exclusive club and where better than on a private jet......
  17. Nice wheels... Luke- I can't look at ur car without trying to imagine a robotic face somewhere BMW 7-Series wheels? Someone else had them on and got slated for leaving the BMW emblems on them. I don't mind the wheels myself....just keep the BMW badges off
  18. yeah this is possible, but what did you do with the rubber window trim? I was worried about messing around with it too much so to avoid leaking. Pulled it down and it was fine. It actually repositions fine and if you are worried then you can use doubles used sticky tape to reattach. Pulled the window trim twice on mine and it hasn't leaked.
  19. You know that after removing all the screws off the pillars they are only hooked in at the front so you can actually unhook it and then set it aside, makes wrapping a lot easier. Took rtbiscuit and myself less than 2 hours to Hexis CF wrap my roof
