  1. Welcome to the OC The ECU can't adjust the timing of the engine to run safely above around 4k revs on regular unleaded. It needs 98/99ron. The engine oil pressure gauge will read high on initial start up. It drops as engine oil warms up. Don't rag it until it's reached optimal oil pressure. This will read midway at when going 30mph in third or 40mph in fourth. A few Zeds are using oil so check when cold and left overnight. Check every week or so to see if yours needs regular top ups. They don't like mixed tyres so run the same back and front.
  2. The Tarmacsportz FB page shows 14 going so far
  3. Turtlewax Hybrid spray sealant aka Seal n Shine used as a drying aid last week. Moved the car out the drive and got an interesting bead pattern
  4. Welcome to the OC. Absolutely adore those 370 rims. Keep an eye out on the events section. The meets really add another level of enjoyment to zed ownership.
  5. Got my Saturday ticket booked. Looking forward to meet for the convoy. 1. davey_83 2. Andy_Muxlow 3. HEADPHONES
  6. Welcome to the OC Any pics of the soon to be yours Zed?
  7. It still amazes me what a bargain 350z/370Z OEM forged Rays wheels are on the used market. They probably cost Rays MORE to make than the TE37 due to their relatively small runs in comparison to the TEs
  8. Looks like we've got more in common than just a Zed
  9. Good save She must think you're some kind of wizard with those results
  10. Looks like another successful day. How many Zeds were there in total?
  11. Have a great day peeps. I'm spending tomorrow with my parents otherwise I would definitely be there be it rain sleet or snow I look forward to some great photos of the meet.
  12. I thought about that but didn't want the paint stripper to drip down past the lips to the rest of the painted wheel. Keeping it vertical prevents this.
  13. Finally got round to sorting ONE rim today. 1 hour repeatedly applying paint stripper with a brush and wiping wit a kitchen towel to the bottom half. Then rolled the car forward and another hour on the other half. Washed and coated with Soft99 Fusso.
  14. Poor Zed looking much happier in your hands now. That GT4 plaque looks gorgeous. Brings back memories of many hours playing GT4 on my PS2. That cracked alloy looks like an accident waiting to happen Imagine if you knew nothing about cars and bought it driving off without checking!
  15. I was absolutely shattered when I got home. Adrenaline rush and excitement all day took it's toll. Racked up 450 miles door to door. Even had my wingman Tony from Preston convoy there and back. Special thanks to our Wales coordinator Jerry , @davey_83 and @Phil T (and Jules) for all they're work in making it a great day for all of us.. The road to THE BLACK HUT was like nothing I've seen before EVER!
  16. "collision investigators work to establish a clear understanding of what led to the collision." I could save them the time and money. Plainly obvious it was the irresponsible overtaking actions of the Lambo
  17. Imagine how much smaller the world's carbon footprint would be if more people maintained older cars rather than scrapping and replacing them. Keep up the good work 👍
  18. Before and after difference from inside
  19. My commute to work has the sun directly on my driver's side going to work and the same all the way home. The Zed's visor is too short to sheild my face when flipped to the side window. Having been an avid "Blue Peter" veiwer in my childhood off I went armed with a cereal box, some scissors, an old t-shirt, needle and thread It just slides over the sun visor, so I can pull it out as an extension to shield my face
  20. Welcome to Zed life. Sorry to hear that you have problems already. Hopefully it's a cheap fix
  21. Welcome to the OC Those polishing pad attachments for cordless drills are very handy. I've yet to do paint correction with them but have polished headlights with mine and applied glazes to the paint with them too
  22. I had coil packs 2 & 6 fail on me last month. As I'm not mechanically minded I got all 6 replaced for peace of mind. Keeping the other 4 old ones that didn't fail in the boot as spares. Garage reassured me my plugs were oil free too and rocker cover seal was still good.
  23. Both great tyres with great wear resistance. I'll need some new MPS4s on my rears soon. May try the continental when I need to change the full 4 in a couple of years. As the MPS4S will almost be a 10 year old model by then and will probably get discontinued soon. Hate having to replace a set of rears only to find sourcing difficulties to match the fronts coz they've been discontinued
