  1. Despite being baked on for a few days, I just used the TFR again and a touchless wash. Still beading great.
  2. A week of parking at work left a sticky mess again . Even the vertical (ish) side windows were peppered, so opening and closing the windows weren't as smooth as before.
  3. Welcome to the OC A few tips for zed ownership. You can tell when the oil is upto optimum temperature before you raz it by the oil pressure gauge. On start up it will be high. As it warms up the pressure will drop until it reads half way at 60 when going 30mph in 3rd gear, 40mph in 4th gear. That's your signal to start really enjoying it. Many Zeds may be burning a bit of oil Leave overnight before checking as it's not the easiest dipstick to get a reading from. Then reset your odometer. Check your oil weekly and get a gauge for if and when you have to top up. It's about 1 litre from min to max on the dipstick. Oh....and they need 98ron and above. If you can't get hold of 98 and run on 95, just keep the revs below 4k as the ECU can't adjust the timing to compensate for the low RON above those rev limits. Enjoy zed life and try and meet some owners on club events.
  4. I'm just thankful it's just sap and I don't get bird bombs. Otherwise I'd be there at night following @DoogyRevadvice
  5. Big up @shueb.c for kindly donating unwanted Zed stuff. Met him today and collected a few bits
  6. So glad that our OC is nothing like those other groups. I suppose that's part of the beauty of a Zed. It's not about outright power as there are so many faster choices out there. But it has enough all round capabilities to put a smile on your face during daily driving
  7. Your post is giving me a severe case of undercarriage envy I literally just saw @Stutopia post where he removed his coilover socks after a years driving....... pristine underneath. These definitely should be more of "a thing" people should jump on
  8. What a glorious day indeed. Love the new Enkeis. Amazing how clean your coilovers are under the socks. If I ever got coilovers I'd definitely get socks too I reckon.
  9. Welcome to the OC Despite being a DE owner, I can't deny the fact that the HR is the newer/ better car. But not so different that I've ever heard someone sell their DE to upgrade to an HR. Go HR hunting, but always buy on condition. Don't buy a dog of an HR over a well kept DE. I've seen some members bag themselves some real DE gems with fantastic history/ mods/ mileage.. If you are free next Sunday, maybe even pop down to the British Motor Museum between 10am and 2pm to have a look at some. It's our 20th anniversary meet with around 200 Zeds attending. Have a look. There'll be plenty of DE and HR owners more than willing to show you round their cars
  10. I'm in Manchester and would gladly take these, Very generous of you to offer. Are you leaving the Zed fold?
  11. Just saw this today Looks so similar to the 350z video "The Run" B6zkx4xEQ6M
  12. Saw this at lunchtime today. Looked super clean from top to toe
  13. Especially like how the silhouette of the new Recaros follow the lines of the door frame. Looks so OEM+ that to those not in the know, they would never guess it didn't leave the factory like that 👍
  14. That bottom pic with the neons on ........oh my days
  15. Imagine if they could recreate this intro with REAL cars for the movie intro..... Still gives me goosebumps after more than 25 years
  16. I'm pretty lucky with my 2 favourite LSPs. Fusso and Turtle Wax Hybrid spray sealant are very chemical resistant. I've been doing touchless washes like this for a few summers now This was my first test lasting 6 weeks and 6 washes. I swapped from the Powermaxed Jetwash and Wax to Traffic Film Remover when it ran out. Not much difference between the two the way I use them. Here Forensic Detailing found some LSPs like Fusso are so detergent resistant even Fairy Liquid or acidic Wonder Wheels doesn't strip it. Jump to 18:20 for his conclusion I'm sure organic Carnauba wax would strip off alot easier with TFR though so I would definitely agree others follow your advice and caution before using it
  17. Summer is coming😎 .......and so is the dreaded treesap. I have to park under sycamore trees at work. The amount of blossom and tree sap hitting my car at the moment is unreal. Had a good clean Bank Holiday Monday. After 2 days at work my car was a sticky mess. Looked like someone had sprayed lacquer with my car sat 5 ft away covered in overspray. Luckily it'd been coated in Soft99 Fusso a few weeks ago for Japfest. So this evening I used a pump sprayer and coated it with Powermaxed Traffic Film Remover. Then just jetrinse it. Surface was smooth and sap free. As it was a quick touchless wash I used my corded leafblower. As dry as using a drying towel and just as fast. Admittedly, from past experience water doesn't blow off as fast if the LSP is months old but I'll let the video evidence do the talking for this cheap blower.
  18. Welcome to the OC Your Nismo looks amazing. A very special car indeed I can highly recommend coming along to the 20th anniversary Zed meet on 29th May. There should definitely be a fair few Nismo 370s there. Come and see what different mods look and sound like and meet fellow members. Maybe even come to the pre meet and convoy down to the event en masse.......can't beat the sound of dozens of Zeds rumbling along in unison
  19. I'm liking the wheels so much more now the centers are this colour. Must be a labour of love maintaining the lips but SO SO worth it.
  20. I polished them up then wrapped them. I posted a thread on here about it but the search facility doesn't like me and I can't find it
