  1. That sounds like a beast of a battery! I think the Varta D47 for the zed is ONLY rated at 60A and CCA 540. Yours I'd almost double!
  2. That's one tasty motor. Must be a nice feeling to have so much bhp on your doorstep.
  3. A warm welcome from a fellow 05 sunset owner. When I was 25 I was driving an A reg 1 litre Polo! But then again I'd only started driving and almost even crashed that. I'd probably have killed myself with a zed as my first car.
  4. Happy hunting. Hope you find a cherished motor.
  5. How time flies. Zed is about to enter it's 8th winter on it's original battery. I reckon I'll get an Exide battery with 65A and a cold crank of 580 come change time. I reckon old battery is living on borrowed time so may change it despite it still seeming perfect. What would you do and has anyone had the original battery last more than 8 yrs?
  6. Bought me some 5w30 for the zed, the mini and my kia. KIA sportage 2l diesel takes 8 litres! Makes the zed look frugal. Offer ends 25th November.
  7. Even more scary was when I went to an Indy garage to get bushes done on my old prelude shortly after.they showed me that one of the bolts holding the strut on was missing. NEVER WENT BACK TO RYLAND HONDA EVER AGAIN! Only went coz I heard a snap from the front. They said couldn't see a problem. 3 weeks later fail me on MOT....snapped spring WHERE I TOLD THEM EARLIER! Then the wheel nuts loose. Fail fail fail.
  8. Tell me about it. The guy who worked on it must of forgot to torque them up right. Lucky was only a short drive home and I checked it straight away. I remember one member actually had the rim come off mid drive. Mine weren't loose and coming off.....just not torqued enough. Still scary thought though!
  9. Also check that the wheel nuts are not loose. I had similar sound once and that was the cause.
  10. From reading stuff on detailingworld I think modern leather seats are actually leather with a plastic like coating. Damage is mostly caused by ingrained dirt acting as an abrasive. Keeping the surface clean minimizes such wear, whereas products leaving a sticky oily surface attracts more dirt to stick to the surface which causes premature wear. One good product is DR LEATHER WIPES off ENVY....a trader on here.
  11. Had my belts tightened at L&G in Manchester today. Saw Mike's Azure there. MIKE......ARE YOUR RIMS EVER DIRTY! Spotless as always:)
  12. Welcome to the world of zed ownership.
  13. When I was about 12 I bought my first 12" "Hey You" by THE ROCK STEADY CREW I aspired to being a breakdancer but only managed to injure myself numerous times whilst looking ridiculous!
  14. I'm at L&G this Friday at 2pm to get my squealing belts tightened. Last time I was there I bumped into 2 other zedders and we had a mini meet!
  15. Was £30/4l before discount. Should make it £24 for a 4litre can after! Offer only runs for a couple of weeks. Don't forget the zed needs about 4.7l though
  16. You lot jinxed me. Replaced my belts with Gates ones few months ago as old ones were cracking. Squealing like an old jalopy this week on start up:( Very embarrassing when people stare with disapproval!
  17. Top tunes I'd have to add my all time favourite driving tune "move b$tch....get out the way" by Ludacris, ( I'm doin' 100 on the highway, so if you do the speed limit get the f**k outta my way )
  18. Can't beat that Friday feeling.....UNLESS ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY TOO! Have a good one
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... o_YfzvAYJY Flashpoint end fight MMA style. One of my favs. Post up some of your favs
  20. One passed me by today. Not sure if it was an original colour resembling sunset orange or a respray in Nissan's finest. I think it was a mid nineties model.
  21. Yesterday lunchtime on Wilmslow road with aftermarket black rims.
  22. Today at 6.30pm at the roundabout joining Birchfield Rd and Kingsway
