  1. Nice one Mark👠I'll pm you PayPal details.
  2. Thanks Colin for the vote 😎. Hi glen, The sound you are alluding to is barely perceptible in the sound clip but because I know what you mean I can hear it and I've got that sound. It's well described on threads in my350x U.S. So I expected this unlike you. It's a medium pitched "whoooooo" hum/whine and it actually comes from your diff.tather GB and as you rightly said the culprit is the polybushes. Especially on the rear subframe and diff. They transmit this whine that you would not otherwise hear with std rubber OEM bushes which isolate everything. Now if you also have solid GB and engine mounts with all the polybushes replaced with solid bushes like I did and now I'm fully stripped with no sound deadening left means these sound/whines/ hums/clicks have multiplied/amplified and now come from the engine and gearbox on top of the diff and are all echoed in the cabin which is acts as a megaphone. It's all part of the race car experience I guess.and I love itðŸ‘. The key is that everything works as it should. Just enjoy it and if we meet up someday I'll take you for a spin and you will see you have no complains as mine is like living inside a machine/engine.
  3. All the airbags are modular replaceable items except the seat airbags that are incorporated in the seat. You can probably get them separately but the issue will be to sow them back in with the right kind of stitches that will give way when the bag deploys. I may be overthinking it but ask the guys of "hide n seat" who trim seats as they will know what is required. You will also need the air bag central computer if everything was deployed. I have both curtain air bags and the airbag computer for sale from my track stripped zed. See my FS thread. They air the only bits left as the steering and passenger airbags have sold since. Everything was in perfect working order prior to removal. My asking price is lower than Ebay/ breakers. Pm if interested.
  4. Bump! Still loads of trim/exterior/engine/chassis and suspension parts left. Wheels still available as sale fell through ( Pm any inquiries or offersðŸ‘
  5. You mean used👀. And as Alex said cost is dependent on damage. Mine cost £700 but I ended up paying £600 as the specialist discounted it due to knowing the chap who sent me to him. Personally after what I saw of the internals I would only recommend a rebuild because it's a gamble with a used box. My box is better than it ever was and has performed flawlessly for 30+ laps at the Ring recently.
  6. In general belt squeal at start up means loose so you need to get it tensioned more until that goes. The rattle is from the gear within the sc. if your bearings become noisy they are getting bad?!. Was this a used or new unit? Don't remember if the pro charger is self lubricated or takes oil from the engine.
  7. I've got a JWT HD clutch plate used but still got some life. Make me an offer as I was going to keep it for an emergency if my current clutch died and I was waiting for replacement.
  8. You can import or buy via the traders here but expect to pay between 500-800quid depending on their mark up. I suspect the tuners here will charge 4-6hrs labour as it similar to fitting a diff. Personally for about the same cost I'll fit an LSD instead which will enhance your handling or do both at the sametime. I've done the LSD myself and can tell it will transform your car. Pm if you want more details.
  9. I will consider an offer but there is an interest in all 3 items for local pick up, so failing that it's yours. Pm your offer in anycase.
  10. I am venting both pcv to atmosphere with no issues whatsoever. The driver side is vented via a baffled oil catch can and minifliter. I've drilled the pcv one way valve for full venting. The passenger side vent is straight via minifliter. Both intake port are capped to prevent plenum leak and rough running. My engine is a Revup and over 100k hard fast road and track miles including supercharger and still going strong. In effect my intake has no connection to crankcase blowby. While I agree that engine vacuum at idle can help with assisting crankcase ventilation it is not a necessity as the crankcase pressure will always be higher than atmosphere and vent if you remove all restrictions. My engine bay is oil free and the oil catch can does it's job. If you are less extreme then going with a good baffled occ and reconnect to the plenum should limit the oil vapour going into your intake but not 100%. It's key you get a good occ. it's also key you do your compression tests to find out the smoking issue as you will be parking over the cracks. But other than the rings being the problem the valve stem seals are a weak point and using a seal conditioner and engine flush with slightly thicker oil eg 10w40 can reduce the leaks. Which ever route you go make sure you place your minifliter upright to prevent oil drips.
  11. I've got OEM banana arms for sale with urethane bushes. I've got pics/prices up on my FS thread.
  12. More pms replied toðŸ‘. Sold items enroute to post.
  13. You can have my vented CF bonnet! It's black👠Check pics on my FS threads.
  14. GG-medium hard. 32-33psi stabilised hot pressure worked best but it took about 4 laps for the pressure to stabilise but when they cooled down you had to start over again or end up with uneven pressure and grip even if you got enough heat into them. I regret it inflating them with nitrogen to start with as they stabilised very quickly with MPS2s
  15. Back in England! Just have to drive home now for another 3+ hours! @ Luke; I'd never used R888 on my own car at the Ring and was looking forwards to it. They are brilliant but just for 1/2 a lap and if you get the pressure right and spare them it last a lap but you struggle to do back to back Laos. In the end I got a stable working hot pressure and modified my driving accordingly. They are just to prone/susceptible to overheating on a long track like the ring. I spoke to several people including a Belgian mate who has a regular 07:20- 07:40 BTG lap time and they all concur that R888 does not suit hravy cars at the ring. Dunlop dirrezza are the mutts nuts. Even federal Fz 201 fair better. After 23 laps I've got just 50% life left. I was told the. R888 have a normal Performance tyre carcass with race compound threads will the dirrezzas or similar Motorsport tyres have both carcass and compound designed for racing. The R888 sidewall is as a result softer hence the issues with heating up.
  16. The zed shed crew have abandoned me to fend for myself😜! I maybe lucky and have a wheel that will fit and make it home. I hope Andy manages to nurse his clutch back to Bournemouth. It was a fun weekend for everyone and despite the little kiss I got from a novice British driver who ran me out of road it was one of my best Ring weekends. All I can say is that my zed is dailed in and I can go faster. The second thing is Toyo R888 suffer badly with overheating on the Ring and I'll be going for Dunlop dirrezza next time.
  17. All pms replied to! Sorry guys but the Ring comes first! Im back on Tuesday so any postage will be out on Wednesday. Same for requests for further pics or parts. I have so many trim that I need to look in the garage to see what is what.

  20. I recently got tired of my gearbox being the boss of me and ruining my enjoyment of the zed in general. For some background I got my late 2005 GT4 in late 2008 a second owner with barely 20k miles on the clock. She now seats at 100k miles of firstly daily driving and fast road, then trackdays to now an exclusive stripped track toy that is no longer daily drivable unless for some choice meets. It came with the CD0009 gearbox which was the revision of the first gearbox on the DE cars that was problematic. I believe the issue was most of the synchros where single rings and prone to failure. On the CD0009 they double the problem synchros and hence this gearbox are much sort after. Nissan further revised the CD0009 to the CD000A which triples and doubles the synchros in the weak areas. This box is very strong but pricey at £3000 and change. I considered going the breakers route but could not get comfortable with the idea of a used box which is an unknown. Secondly they seem to be pricey so I decided to research into getting my box rebuilt. There was a third option to buy the CD000A box from the U.S. But though it goes for about circa $1.7k shipping and customs will bring the price closer to an unattractive £2.5k. I was finally recommended a specialist race gearbox builder right under my nose in Worcester and because he does work by appointment only I had to beg him to do my GB. With the help of my friendly mechanic Carl we took it off under 1hr and took it to the chap. He had it stripped by next day and invited me to come and see the issues. I had always had some crunching on 6-5th changing down fast from when I got the car and 1-2nd and getting reverse was always very notched when cold. Over the years it got worse and I had to change my style to make any progress. Before this rebuild I also had intermittent crunching from 4-5th. When I got the my GB was in bits He told me what the issues with and he asked if this was what I experienced which was spot on. He actually quickly put the gears back together in seconds in front of me to show how everything works and fundamentally all GB are the same. - worn 4/5 synchro and hubset, worn 5/6syncho and hubset and water damage to the reverse synchro and hubset. The rest of the box was in very good condition. [url=http://s476.photobucket.com/user/GT4Zed/ He gave me the parts(genuine OEM) and labour breakdown and I duly tried to shop around to get the parts cheaper. I called on our usual traders, my local Nissan and looked at Ebay etc and could not beat the price. The closest was £250 off and that was importing from the states with a long wait. So I authorised the work on a Monday and agreed on collection Friday. He specialed all the parts and had them next day delivered and was done on Wednesday. I put back the FB same day and struggle with bleeding the clutch. It always takes numerous and a lengthy process to get a firm pedal until I came across a quick method to do it in 5-10mins!!!(will come to that later) Clutch was bleed on Thursday and I put fresh Motul gear 300 75w90 oil and broke in the gearbox/new clutch in the ramp with the rears lifted up. Got to drive the car over the weekend and it's just amazing!! The gears slot with 1 finger and like hot knife in butter. I'm absolutely thrilled and it's way better that my expectations. No issues cold or hot and together with my short shifter it's super quick. Now I know my gearbox is in perfect health and should last another 100k miles. It comes with 12month full parts and labour warranty and it gets cleaned in and out and painted silver or black but there was no time for mine as I'm on a deadline to get my car ready for the Ring this Friday. It cost £600 all in but should have been £700 if not for the chap who recommended me. The sad news is this chap is not terribly interested in doing our zed gearboxes as he is into big money racing sequential boxes etc and is oversubscribed but I can get my mate to setup a limited run of ~3 maybe up to 5 rebuilds if the interest was there. Pm if any interested. See my soon to posted z speed Tilton racing master cylinder kit installation with ACT 6 puck clutch and JWT HD clutch cover. The quick clutch bleed techniques described applies even to OEM set up.
