  1. Soooooo basically if i go to halfords, find an expensive toolbox and give it a bit of a kick while no one is looking i can get it dirt cheap??? Not that I would do such an underhand thing.......... R
  2. Ooooh shiney, can't wait to move into a place with a garage im sick of keeping all my tools in the hall cupboard. R
  3. Try prying it off with a big rusty chisel then removing the excess glue with some wet and dry...that should do the trick. R
  4. lol....wish i had enough cash to hate ferrari's. R
  5. I think the busy looking bit is how on the subsections the threads have black boxes round them now that do not extend out to the bit where it tells you who posted last in the thread. They didn't have black boxes round them before, it kind of means you have to focus in and out in order to see who has started and posted last in the thread....if you catch my drift. Although personally i like the new look. R
  6. I don't think you can really compare the z to an evo or scooby, after driving my dads impreza sti around for a while they are totally different beasts. It's not turbo'ed so you don't get such a brutal accelleration like u would on the impreza but its still seriously quick only in a linear fashion. BUT you certainly can compare the two when it comes to quality, IMO the scoobys look as though they have been covered in glue and driven through halfords window, the interior is made out of the same stuff selection boxes are made from and its got the same build quality as a lithuaniun fairground ride. Reliablility too, no turbo's, no intercoolers no worries, plus servicing is as cheap as you will find on a performance car. If you want brutal power and a ride that will turn your bones to soup and wear a burberry cap then choose something like a scooby or evo, if your after comfort, reliability, head turning looks, great handling, serious fun and enough power to leave most cars in your wake then get the zed. R
  7. Sorry to hear that Nixy, should only be 3 points and a fixed fine. Most insurance companies take 3 points with a pinch of salt nowadays, my g/f got some last year and it only added around £3 p/m to her policy. R
  8. This could be a nice project but for an older model or a first gen import or something...surely not a GT4!!!?, why does he not sell the GT4 and buy a high milage import of something he can rip to bits and use the extra cash from the sale to fund his conversion? Im sure someone out there would love a mint limited edition! R
  9. I suppose it depends how deaf you are, im 25 with perfect hearing, im also very in to my music. I don't have one and the volume definatly is not as loud as the Bose but when it is up full blast it is probably as loud as i would listen to it anyway. Unless you are one of these guys that likes everyone on the high street to hear what your listening to, i don't think you need it. But its all down to personal choice. Oh and as for the facia, try and get one from the uk...i think sextons direct do them. I got mine from the USA and it took about a month to get here and I had to pay about the same as the facia in import taxes and fees before I could get it in my hands.....no impressed! R
  10. I wouldn't park it there, that's just asking to be clamped! R
  11. God I hope this good but I can't help feeling after Craig Charles being in Corrie (not to mention his little crack-pipe incident), Chris Barrie doing all those god-awful programmes about trains and Robert Llewellyn in that daft scrapheap challenge nonscence all im going to see is their current occupations and it will ruin the whole thing.....I really hope not though as Red Dwarf is one of my all time favourite comedies. R
  12. Claying will remove everything from your paint including wax's so you want to be doing that as little as possible. I add wax whenever I have time, a few times a month, just to build up the layers of protection. When you are cleaning use LSP (last stage product) safe cleaners to ensure you don't strip the wax you have spent so long applying. If you DO want to remove the wax whilst washing (prior to claying) then use a more concentrated dilution of all purpose cleaner. R
  13. Just noticed a small thing, I dunno if it happens to anyone else though. When somebody posts up a link, rather than opening up an new window it re-directs you on the open window. It used to pop-up a new window didn't it? R
  14. Looks fantastic guys, im sure that we all appreciate your work to bring us this. R
  15. I have the exact ones.....do you not find the height of the bonnet too low? Mmm yeah I suppose it is quite low but it was high enough for me to change out my plenum and TB without me splitting my head open so there's no real need for me to have it any higher. R
  16. I got mine from here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-GAS-B ... 240%3A1318 They are pretty decent quality and you dont need to butcher your plastic surrounds to get them to fit. I sprayed mine chrome to match some engine bits..they look pretty good. R:teeth:
  17. Welcome mate, i have a late 2005 model in Gunmetal, I had a scrape on the front bumper which was just flaking off when you touched it so i guess the paint work can't be that good, but that was on the fibre glass bumper. Had no problems else where. R
  18. Thats amazing by the way, just shows how stunning black cars can be if cared for properly. R
  19. Welcome matey, plenty of Scottish owners on board. How many miles has your zed covered by the way? R
  20. Remember to get the swissvax brushes out to do all the door jams and under the handles, they can be easily missed with the washmit. R
  21. Welcome matey, glad to see yet another Jock on here. Get some pics up when you get her, its the law. R
  22. Does it come with one of these as standard? Nice looking car though, but fords just not to my taste. R
  23. You could possibly use some insulation stips for going round doorways, you can get them from b&q in rolls. R
