  9. Possibly a faulty aircon control unit, alot of instruments seem to rely on this controller for some reason? Im no expert but seems like it could be a possibility. R

  13. I've cracked already....the car has been cleaned R
  14. But your CEL light is on when you do the ecu reset when the engine is not running. You dont have to have the CEL light on because of an error to do the reset. If you have changed your filter/ induction kit it is advisable to do an ecu reset. Yeah it was on whilst doing the reset but you can't tell if its reset as when you start the car the light is not on as i didn't have it on in the first place (if you can understand that gibberish). R But you know if you have done the reset as the CEL light flashes during the ecu reset routine. Yeah it did start flashing so i guess i did it right then R
  15. Yeah granted the tank was just under full as I had done a few miles prior to the meet but not 1/4 of a tanks worth. R

  17. Did an ecu reset (i think) no idea if it worked or not as my CEL light was not on in the first instance. will take her out for a spin later to see if it feels and different. R
  18. Hi folks, went out to start the car earlier and it took a few attempts before it would fire up?! this is very strange i've never had this happen to me. Also when we were on the Aberdeen run yesterday, we all started with full fuel tanks, and by the end the other guys had over half a tank left but i had less that a quater?!?. (I have a UK car BTW) I wasn't driving any differently from the others I was just keeping up with the one in front most of the time. I re-fitted my induction kit yesterday, I was just wandering if this was causing it to run rich, possibly flooding the engine a bit which was why it took a few goes to start. Would the induction cause this? If so would an ECU reset sort it out? Cheers Ross
  19. I would like to see the information from these fatal crashes, im no expert but I can guarantee that almost non of them were travelling at or below the national speed limit. There is a high likelyness that they were hooning it way beyond that. So what is lowering the limit going to achieve? If they were that concerned about "road safety" then they would force all cars to be fitted with speed limiters, but they just LOVE that revenue that comes from those speeding tickets. Greedy barstuards! R
  20. sorry if this is a pearoast but has anyone read this? http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/drivin ... 864847.ece Idiots! R

  23. Hi lads, had a really good drive out today. Don't know what happened at the end. I saw Chris having a battle with a Audi TT S and he dissapeared off into the horizon. My stomach has just recovered from the rollercoaster roads at glenshee, the most fun i think I have ever had driving. R
  24. Hey looks is the throttle body polished too? R
  25. Thanks for the info Mike. went to the dealers today (Evan Halshaws) they were not very helpfull with the matter, ie. "Sir it's impossible as it is coded to each specific car" to which i replied "Sir you are talking out of your *rse as it is very much possible". I would say a good car audio place would have no problems with it. R
