  1. It does the job, you can use the software that comes with it or download other sofware compatable with the ELM chip. It depends what you want to do, if you want something that will tell you error codes and reset lights then it does that well. Only thing you need is a laptop. R
  2. I bought one of these when i had my remapping business on the go http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Car-Diagnostic-Co ... 240%3A1308 Its more than sufficient for reading error codes and resetting EML lights. Plus its only £40. R

  4. Well I hear mixed views. I've been attempting to clean mine with some TB cleaning spray without moving anything as I hear you can knacker them. However in the States they just say its ok to move it but you might have to perform a couple of resets of TB closed position learning and idle air learning. But they're quite easy. Tempted to whip mine off as its filthy and I'm convinced it causes the car to stall on turn over (you know when it blips on start, mine then stalls) and since giving it a spray yesterday its much better as it starts, then drops, just enough to not stall, but not far off. You guys replacing the gasket after you removed the TB? It says in the service manual that you're meant to. The gasket looks mint TBH cant see much need too. I got some tool cleaner from halfords and gave the TB a good few sprays and agitated it with a clean paintbrush. Its looks like a new pin now. I've given it a paint so im waiting for it to dry before i refit it. I will let you know if i've knackered it tomorrow R
  5. Noooooo don't paint the car white!!!! as much as i love the new white cars, the black is awsome, especially with those wheels and new fat a*s!. Personally I think it looks sweet as is. R

  12. What rubber have you got on each corner....its recommended that you stick to the same tyres all round and keep them all pretty much equal in tread depth. Your car will not handle correctly otherwise. HTH R

  19. The amp on one needs to be connected to the blue/white wire coming from the new headunit. This will fire up the bose amp when the stereo powers up. You must ground the unit well to the chassis otherwise it will not work correctly. Hope this helps Ross
