I find this when driving on the road, but when on track, and everything is up to temperature, its rock solid from the start, so maybe its just a temp issue. i run DBD slotted discs and DS2500 pads. However, i initially had a really soft pedal after having some braided lines fitted, they bled the brakes a few times, and it didnt improve. Went for an MOT a few weeks later, and the tester found that one of the lines was loose on the caliper, and needed tightening up

Was only a joke, we dont have thing like TC or super KERS etc. The ECU is so tightly controlled, it would be impossible to hide anything like that. As for Alonso, I have no idea how he does it, but his starts are 99% amazing.

In all fairness, the new engines are meant to be 40% more fuel efficient, and they currently run 160kg of fuel,and that is being cut to 100kg,so shouldnt hopefully be too much of a fuel fight. Agree that Vettel running off and winning isnt probably the most exciting viewing, but you cant blame him for that,he is paid to do a job,and he is doing it very well, in the best machine on the grid. Webbers car is built with the same parts as Vettels,unless he requests otherwise. Vettel has suffered a fair few failures himself,so its not just Marks car, but maybe Mark is harder on the car generally than Vettel,who knows. Next year will certainly throw up a few issues, I know all the teams are struggling with heat management.

Suppose it dont matter on track too much,as i tend to wear proper gloves anyway, so not so worried now. Do i just need to makesure that its a particular fitment?

Dont really like them Nismo style ones, i like something chunky to grab hold of. Does anyone with metals knobs have any issues on track days in the heat of the moment?

Looking for a new gear knob for the Zed. Hoping to have a nice round one, though a little hesitant on all metal,especially with winter almost here. Just hoping people could post some pictures of theirs and where they got it from.

Oh and Ferrari Interantional Assistance strikes again! How did they allow Alonso's pass on Vergne out of the pits to stick i have no idea. If Alonso was so much faster than Vergne, then he would have been able to overtake him at a different point ON TRACK. Yet Hulkenberg gets penalised for a unsafe release, when iv seen close calls like that get allowed before where there is a wide pit lane with the blue part present. Not a great day from the stewards point of view I think, but thats just my opinion. I think Alonso may need a new chassis for the next race after that impact, would be very surprised if it didnt ruin the bottom of the chassis after that impact.

Got to blame the likes of Merc for not gearing the cars properly too. Mark had a longer 7th gear which made it easier to overtake, but Hamilton appeeared to have a shorter ratio, so was hitting the limiter earlier. Sauber do a great job with the resources that they have, and set the car up to be able to over take, so have a higher top speed, same as Force India. Another brilliant race by Massa too, the overtake on Hamilton at the end of the straight was fabulous, and I hope to god that he and Hulkenberg get a good drive next year. Seen this morning that the Quantum deal is apparently done with Lotus, so hopefully the Hulk will go there, though not too sure what that means for Massa and Maldonado.

Il be happy if Mark and Seb are close at the first corner, means that Mark has had a good start! Talking of close, did anyone see Calos Sainz Jnr clash with another GP3 car yesterday? How he kept it out the wall was mighty impressive.

Sorry to hear about your accident, but atleast you walked away from it, and no one else was involved. Bloody lucky with the insurance too. I had a pretty big one a few years back in a hatchback, ended up going backwards into a tree, and have to say, it does make you a more rounded driver, as you are aware of other factors, and the experience just makes you think a little deeper. I had a massive spin in the Zed last year at Bedford, (that last corner), luckily it spat me onto the infield, not the pit wall, and i never took that corner at serious speed for the rest of the day, and it took me an hour or so to get any sort of confidence back in myself, and the car. I carried too much kerb on the apex, and though i thought I had the drift under control, when it snapped the other way, it was out of my control. You will get there, and be a better driver because of it, just takes time. Maybe go out in the car again, if your mate lets you, and go for a gentle drive.

Well Seb on pole and Mark 4th on the harder tyre, should be a great race tomorrow, lots of different strategies etc, so should be exciting.

Well I the 235's had been sold, but managed to find one 245, so that wil match the one good one on the front.

They are 35 profile, same as the rears

Cant say iv had any issues with mine, and i must have done 15k atleast on them.
