  1. Any one had any experience with running a 235/19 on the front wheels? Currently got 245, which i know is best, but been offered a pair of 235's for a good price. There is already abit of a stretch on the tyres as it is, and worried about it looking silly, and affecting the handling.
  2. LOL, that wont be happening till the end of January though.

    In blue,yes please!
  4. Just feel like im ice skating up hill money wise at the moment. How much are kidneys etc worth these days? lol Cheers for the comments, cant wait to go on holiday now, think il open a can of Duff to cheer me up.
  5. Sorry, but feel like a rant. Had our boiler replaced a few weeks back, and got a good price on it too. Trouble was, it blew the circuit board on our Boiler Mate tank up stairs, and nobody knew why, so rather risk just replacing the circuit board (£200) I was strongly advised to get a Gledhill engineer out, (£354), this was after an Ex Gledhill engineer had come out to have a look (£100). After all that, heating and water back on, job done. Thought id get the car serviced a week later, which wasnt too bad, but a few days after, a few nasty noises appeared on the car. That will be new cats and a Y pipe then. (£600 for parts, then labour on top) Just parked up on the drive, got out, and noticed a screw lodged in the front tyre, right where the tread part meets the side wall, so not repairable. To make it worse, its on the side with the most tread. (Living in MK, the LH side takes most of the wear) Really wondering what else can I possible have go wrong that needs some money, as i have none left as it is! The honeymoon in Cuba cant come soon enough! Sorry rant over.
  6. Never had that problem tbh. Did you replace the nut on tensioner? No idea,i think the guy who fitted them just swapped the pulley's over and reused the same nuts. I did the pulley's a few years back, and notice a small difference, mainly when going from 30mph in 6th. The LW flywheel was done this year. If you feel the weight of the standard pulley's compared to the LW ones, then you will see where the gain is.
  7. Iv had the AMS puley's fitted for a couple of years now, and had no problems with them at all. The only slight thing with them, is that being ally, on a cold day, your belts squeak abit for a few minutes while the engine gets some heat. As soon as the car is up to temp, the noise stops. you can keep adjusting the belt, but thats abit of a pain, and if you keep putting tension on the belt, they will just stretch and possibly break. Worth fitting by the way, I have a LW flywheel and the pulley's and together they really help the engine rev.
  8. So is this a polished gell coat finish im guessing.
  9. Looking for somewhere that is pretty close too. That Gatwick hotel is pretty far away from the airport.
  10. Works out quite expensive for the Premier inn with parking etc, maybe thats because its the official car park, i dont know.
  11. Off on honeymoon in a few weeks, and looking at staying around Gatwick the night before. Didnt know if anyone could recommend any places that offer parking and stay.
  12. Was heading home in the wifes Swift Sport, last night at about 10.45 and saw a 370z heading across the H3.
  13. Thats horrible. Must have been doing something very stupid to have caused an accident that awful, there is nothing but the tail of the car left.
  14. After a week, you will think that it was a standard part, but you will notice the difference immediately, its much hungrier for revs. Not to mention weight saving. Try to pick up the standard DM fly wheel with one hand! lol

    HFC's/Y pipe

What spec is it Vlad, really after an aftermarket one if possible, and need it ASAP.
  16. Iv got this set up, and couldnt agree more, I also have AMS LW pulley's fitted, so even more rev happy. Once you get used to the chatter, it just becomes part of the Zed, like all the other noises.

    Y pipe and Cats

Im not, but thankyou for the offer.
  18. Glad nobody was hurt doing the incident, can imagine its pretty stressful too organising everything after such a thing.

    Y pipe and Cats

Im trying to avoid the raspy sound that iv heard with cars fitted with HFC's, or maybe its just the Berks, i dont know

    HFC's/Y pipe

Just a quick ask if anyone has any HFC's and/or a Y pipe for sale for a DE engine. Just thought id ask before buying everything brand new.
  21. Sorry, but im sure some of what happened to STR was luck that weekend. When you are towards the back of the grid, you try different things, as you have nothing to loose. Im sure Ferrari McLaren BMW and Lotus etc wanted to play things safe, hence why they were left for dead. Im glad someone has mentioned Brazil last year, is that the same bloke that cant race? What about the race today,im sure the commentators said something along the lines of "Seb is going to have a job on his hands to win this race", and what do you know.... I think people just hate it when someone is THAT good, yes he has a good car, but MW hasnt exactly been a title contender this year has he, and he is not a bad driver.

    Y pipe and Cats

Are replacement standard cats an option, or are they not worth it over HFC's?
  23. Daryl

    Y pipe and Cats

Cheers, do you have cats or HFC too?
  24. Sorry Jet Pilot....lol I agree, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and personalities are just that, we are all individuals, life would be boring if not.
  25. So you have met and had interaction with F1 drivers previously then? Lewis went to Merc, because he was offered more money, and probably could see that this years car was not going to be that competitive, no other reason, depite what people have said. As for the car, Adrian is a genius, without a doubt, and F1is all about pushing the boundaries in every aspect, so tough sh!t if you dont aggree with that. Schumacher drove people away from F1,me included, AND he was the undisputed No1 driver, so always had a rear gunner in that respect, and no matter what you think or say, you cant say that about Mark and Seb. Jetset- no I dont "know" SV, but iv had a fair amount of exposure to him at various races, and xmas parties etc, so can talk about him with more knowledge than most, i also interact with some of his mechanics, who also seem to agree with me. Yes he is determined, and yes he has said and done things that maybe he shouldnt have, but so did Schumacher. People dont seem to understand the mentality that drivers have to have in order to do well. People talk about arrogance with Seb, personally, I think Jenson is one of the worst, but thats my opinion, and im entitled to it.
