    Invidia HFC's

All fitted up Will be needing a new W brace at some point. This isnt new, i knew about this a few weeks back. I stadled a kerb in a car park late one night, and it was hooning it down and there was no lights on that area of the car park.
  2. Will look good. The trouble with that design, is that the wheels look smaller than they actually are, but thats not always a bad thing. What colour car they going on?
  3. First thing I do when iv turned the car on is switch the lights on, i now drive everywhere with them on. I agree, they help you be seen as much as help you see, not to mention their effectiveness on the motorway of clearing the outside lane. My Polish friend got me into driving with the lights on, as its what they do over the water.

    Invidia HFC's

Well, it all went rather well yesterday, as these things have a habbit of taking ages when bolts snap etc. Everything lined up perfectly, the only small issue was that the bolts supplied for the Y pipe were not long enough, so had to find some different ones. Mechanic was a little worries as the Y pipe had no flexi's on, so was a risk of something not lining up, but even the nuts and bolts came off easily, (one on each cat snapped) but the manifold bolts were fine as were the lambda sensors, and I didnt even need the gaskets that i spent £38 on, so they can be returned! Exhaust note sounds a little deeper now, and clearer too. There is no raspyness to them either, but there is a gorgous hiss that appears around 4k, (may not be everyones cup of tea) that makes the car sound turbo'd, (its really addictive) Be interesting to see if it remains after a few more miles. Over all experience and oppinion is great, and very happy with them
  5. I wouldnt be surprised if the dampers and springs were changed slightly, its not uncommon for a manufacturer to tweak the car along the way, look at the GTR. At the end of the day though, as long as your happy with the car, thats the main thing, change is not always for the better.

    HFC gaskets

As mentioned in my Previous thread http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/77899-invidia-hfcs/, these do not come with header gaskets. Will I be able to pick these up from Euro car parts or something, or will I have to get them ordered in? Need them for Saturday AM, so ASAP. If anyone local to Milton Keynes has a pair, please PM me.

    Invidia HFC's

I got the Y pipe end chap, as there are only 2 holes in the gaskets. Yes they are a little more than the Berks, but the quality I think is alot better, so well worth it. Iv got bolts, just need to see if i can get the gaskets from Euro Spares or something

    Invidia HFC's

Well my Invidia HFS'c arrived today from Chris at Tarmac Sportz, and have to say im really impressed with them. Working as an inspector, im a tad fussy, and these really are great bits of kit. Well worth the small amount extra over the Berks i think. Looking forward to getting them fitted on Saturday with a Stillen Y pipe. Will post up a review when iv got it all done. One small note, is that the Berks come with every gasket and bolt, and the Invidia's only come with 2 gaskets and bolts for one end of each pipe. Not a big deal, just thought it was worth mentioning. Cant wait till saturday to get it all fitted now, car currently sounds like a bag of spanners
  10. Cheers chaps, may see if i can get this sorted this week.
  11. I was going to get the tyres swapped off the rims yes, and everything that iv seen on the tyre says that its directional, but not sided. Iv had a new one delivered, and wanted to put it on the front left, as that one is more worn than the front right, so can even the wear out, same with the rears. Living in a town full of roundabouts has its disadvantages and its advantages
  12. Anyone got any idea if this is possible or not?
  13. Would you really say there is on an open forum if you knew otherwise I dont think you would say anything different to the above buddy and i mean absolutely no offence by this, if there "is" anything different about Vettels car, the staff arent going to know anyway and yes i do like a conspiracy theory Fair point, but people at Ferrari are very open about their Number1. We dont have that attitute, we manufacture enough parts for both cars, exactly the same, and its only when the parts get to the track are they allocated to the car in no particular order. I work alongside manufacturing, so know that the parts are the same. We have no reason to have a number 1 and 2, if peoples perception are that Vettel is number one, then that is because he is a better driver, no other reason. The only incident was Silverstone a few years back, which was an unfortunate incident, and hasnt happened since.
  14. Im sorry, but there is no way id take my car to Halfords Autocentre for anything.
  15. I know in an ideal world with loads of money to burn id just swap all 4 tyres, but i dont have money to burn, and just wondering if its safe to swap the lefts for the rights so that i can get more life out of them and then swap all 4.

Look sexual. Guessing your son works in a machine shop
  17. I thought that, but when I looked, i couldnt see anything on them saying outside or inside. Iv got a pair of Avons that say that, but I couldnt see it on the Falkens.
  18. I doubt Williams could afford him to be honest. (Even Frank said that after the race) In honestly, i think if Ferrari dont get 2nd in the constructors this year, Domenicalli will get sacked, and Ross will get the job. He has previous there, he knows the people, they know him, and he may take soem key people with him.
  19. Amazing looking car Ian, good effort. Not sure on your ground clearnace though, how does it handle when its that low? Thats 2 sexy Azures now. Sorry, sexier Azures.....

    Brake pedal feel

Well I took it back for them to bleed the brakes again after the MOT, but even after just the MOT, yes the pedal feel was alot better. With credit to them, they handled it all very well. Not saying thats your problem, just thought id mention it. You can check yourself if the hoses are tight. I think its just the nature of the set up that it takes abit of heat in the pads and discs to get some decent feel out of the system. Looking at this tread, there are far too many people "suffering" from the same issue for it to be a mechanical issue on your car. One thing i did get, was nasty ring around the edge of my rear discs, after pulling the pads out, there was debris of some sorts in the slots (exactly the same both sides and looked like pad material), may this was to do with cool down or over heating.
  21. Way too low for my liking, jack it up 15mm and it would look alot better
  22. Is it possible to swap the 452's from the LH side to the RH side? Im replacing the RH front tyre for a brand new one, and was thinking that as the LH one is more worn, due to living in MK, then If i could put the new one on the LH side, i can even the wear out abit, same with the rears. I cant see why not, but wanted to check.

How on does that feel? Do you grab it at the top, or at the side? Cant imagine how driving with that could be comfortable
  24. Its been the same for a few years now, MES ECU's are standard throughout all cars, including the Ferrari, and all the parameters are checked by the FIA.
