  1. +1 - a lot can be lost in text, like the context of what people are saying, speaking in person or on the phone will get you the details a lot quicker but then I can't read it... But he will have more time to write up the explaination he gets than Mark has true.... my bad

  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s9mdtyQ1x8U If you don't you'll spend it on stupid stuff, like holidays/drinking/clothes/food etc etc etc...
  5. maybe look here for some more stuff to plug into the engine, think Mark in Abbey will or is allready stocking these: http://www.motordyneengineering.com/350Z.php 350Z MREV 2 Manifold TM (depends what engine you got in your Z if it's any good to you) 350Z 1/2" Manifold Spacer Not sure if you need to upgrade your fuel line system and injectors if you're thinking on going NOS. 6. sweet lips Do you have any pre and after photos of them? (before refurb)
  7. superior combination... mmm think I rather have my A goodyear F1's then the newer type that has the inner tyre for wet and outer for dry weather... it's not going to perform as well as a tyre made for wet weather when its wet and it wont perform better then a dry type tyre in the dry... so you'll have a tyre that's average in both weather conditions... for me the most important is that it performs in the wet and for dry conditions you need to get a wider tyre (285) and you'll get more contact surface! WHEN I get my a** in gear to get new wheels I'll get as wide as I can in the rear for dry condition and the best wet tyre out there fitted to it. For track tool use I'd use the same wheels that I have now and go for a sticky rubber. *and they look cooler
  8. running good year f1s really like them but hard to get the size that I've got on my Z.
  9. lucky escape by the sounds of things, happy it turned out well! I'd recommend you to go and get some training done or some sort of handle practice done so if / when it happens again you can control it no problem. Personally don't use the ESP stuff since I rather want to be able to drive the car without the slip light coming on and behaving a bit more predictable, seems to happen when there is no need for it and my belief is that you get a false sense of security driving with it on.

    New Alloys :D

have you fitted these yet will look deadly fitted!!!
  11. Doesn't having it remapped remove the behaviour you are talking about though? My impression was that until it is remapped the ecu is a law unto itself, but once it's done it stays in "performance mode" all the time. Presumably this would mean that remapped cars can be put on the dyno and give a reliable figure with a single run. Now had an answer on another thread from Abby, and it seems that the Uprev basically deletes the ECUs ability to switch to the default maps (IE safe maps should heavy knock be encountered) which kind of worries me, it basically sticks to the more aggressive fuelling and timing maps to achieve the boost in performance, I would very much like to get hold of the software and see for myself just what parameters are actually available to modify/edit in the ECU. go get the osiris tuner software here http://www.uprev.com/products.php
  12. thats good
  13. Have you had yours done ? I'm interested but would like to know more before I call them if you can. Prices etc cheers. well are you planning on going there? I'm physically not anywhere close to Abbey so sent it via post and only had the delimeter and full throttle opening sorted in lower gears. If you live close to abbey I'd recommend going there for a full remap to suit your mods and dyno your baby think it's like 350, but not 100% sure for that package. I wasn't interested in the remap or dyno part so got away a bit cheaper
  14. Hi, if you like me have a restricted JDM import and don't want to spend the € to get an SLD from HKS and also cut into the ECU harness to fit it!!! give Mark in Abbey a call and get it 'delimited' with a flash!
  15. Just couldnt work out how Nissan is paying for his remap +2
  16. spot the rebel Dont worry ,think you might not have read the whole thread but it will be sent off to the insurance company today/Monday so hope to hear something by midweek the latest, someone told me to speak to my insurance company and let them claim of the other insurance company etc... for now I'll sit tight and wait. Not sure that disclaimer actually means anything... rather a deterrent for people NOT to action anything I'd say. Anyway learnt the lession the hard way, didnt put her through car washes since it does damage the paint... but thought once a year wouldnt be to bad... mmm stand corrected on that thought for sure. Hope it might be a warning to some out there though , not to trust them!
  17. No places like that here, found some polish guys that where really good but they went downhill! Mine wasnt (and still ain't) washed since November...
  18. Notice a big difference today 20% more throttle response make a Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference
  19. Thanks for 'some' of the support and a further stamp that I was an eejit in the first place taking it to a carwash... having that said here is the latest update: Went and spoke to the assistant manager at the garage, she looked at the car for 5 seconds and then said the'd fax off the form (accident form I believe) to the insurance company and they will call me back early next week... so fingers crossed this all ends well, at least she didn't fob me off
