  1. Yeh he's just avoiding the roadside bombs. he is doing a pretty good job!!!
  2. No answer on the other thread I take it, if you can wait until tomorrow I can go out and take one of them out and give you a measure, Id bring it to a engineering place and just hand them the bolt and ask them if they do it in xxx mm, worked the last time I needed a bolt (amazing). Go past there from time to time so if you want me to pick you up 4 I could and post them. Possibly cheaper to sort out yourself
  3. my plenum spacer gave 9hp, guess I lost installing the kinetix... (without tune on JDM) Louder and more suck noise for sure and more torq midrange.
  4. The Vortech will make 340WHP with the whole car stock & just a tune Assuming that Dave is running the 2.87 pulley (which I'm pretty sure he is) then 400WHP should be no problem. Lets not forget that this is a kit that run 458WHP on the previous owners car, I fully expect dave will hit 400WHP with ease Don't forget that its Torque that kills motors & not HP Yeah fair point. I thought it was the general consensus that ~400BHP was the safe limit for the stock engine, as in 400HP at the fly? Or is it 400WHP that is the safe limit? Isnt WHP the same as HP at the hub too, give or take a small amount (tyre slip etc) always thought the 400 number was on the wheel since it came from the US... not sure though
  5. yeah the almost kill a few people on the way! Note to self: Never attend roads in Malaysia.

Was on my normal 'youtube time wasting' and stumbled on that one... can't believe they 1st did it and second post it up on youtube!!! hmmm calmed down now and not sure why I'm posting this here either but there you go...
  9. or his car for the day. Or as long as his rear tyres will hold...

  11. Do you actually have to scrub in car tyres still??? Bike tyres have gone further then and you dont need to really scrub them in, some very light coating on them
  12. Not worth it tbh, he doesn't advertise anywhere and all his modding work was word of mouth and his name is now mud locally so he won't be getting any repeat custom work. He works out of an unsignposted unit miles from anywhere and just does insurance work it seems. just outta a feel good prespective?
  13. Yeh mark was saying, think he can do it on some of the ECU's though (US or JDM I think..) Hopefully will be able to do UK cars by the time I visit I vote for 415hp/ 365tq THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE HP / TQ figure gets to drive it around the track!
  14. 408RWHP... hmmm 350/360 torq... If the petrol is kept burning and not pissing out on the dyno that is! (make sure you're happy to role that onto a dyno mate)
  15. whats their support like? just read a thread on my350z some dude getting it tuned melting his cylinders as a result, looks like he got it sorted from cobb though. http://g35driver.com/forums/dfw-g35-own ... -13th.html http://g35driver.com/forums/dfw-g35-own ... t-lie.html 13psi... crazy.... looking at my haltech interface it really put me off trying to do my own tunes, way to much setting to make a meltdown on!
  16. Mazda on Track actively `discourage` the "...eeerh... wrong crowd", for the same reasons. It can spoil it for everyone else. Although called `Mazda on Track`, they do allow other marques too 350Z owners are very welcome and they make awesome drift cars for novices too might try and find some group like that over here
  17. I'm more lost when it comes to wheel setup then most, I do the reading then I get it for about 2 days until I forget it again, once I find a good set of wheels I'd need to get some help from here no dought.
  18. looks like you had some good fun there most 'events' like that that I've planned to go to seems to attract the ...eeerh... wrong crowd. looked as it was a good crew there
  19. Don't bother looking at plasma's used to be that plasma was better if you went over 32" not so anymore, unless you're looking at very large screens. which you ain't. I'd go LG or Samsung re quality, cost. DONT listen to a sales guy if he's trying to sell you the 'new' LED technology, scam IMO. Look at what inputs you might need to be using. Make sure it's at least 100Hz and 1080p. You'll need to get at least 37" if you want to get true 1080P without using software to display it on a smaller screen. Also you might want to research what viewing distance the TVs are supposed to be at. The '2-to-5' Principle Blue bullet For optimum TV viewing distance, the nearest seating position should be limited to approximately twice the screen width while the furthest seating position should be no more than five times the width of your screen.
  20. nice car you got there anything you'd do different? Never done a trackday in the car but plenty on the bike and every time I did one I went home with a thought: "I'd do this different the next time, I'll use this instead etc etc"
