Welcome mate. We will have to sort out a North East meet sometime this year, there are quite a few of us now.

I've stayed there before many moons ago with my parents. Its a massive place so no chance of it being fully booked. Checked the dates and it looks like I'm on a stag do from 7th to the 11th May. If anything changes though I'll be straight down to this, no doubt in a Zed convoy with Lexx and any other North Easters.

Just joined. My boats name is "The Flying Zed" bit corney but its all I could think of this early in the morning! Currently in 67566th place but that is going to drop rapidly. My only boat experience is sitting in a dinghy in a swimming pool when I was younger on holiday

Like T8JPE I too have a bit of a heavy foot (mine is the right one though) and my car is due a P1 service next month. Going off Gixxeruk's suggestion I'm going to order 5 litres of the Silkoline Pro S. I have a 2004 UK Zed and I just want to confirm that the 5w-40 is the best oil for me? Cheers in advance.

I was going to go to Tignes this weekend for a week of boarding, but the trip fell through and I ended up going to Pila instead last week. Does it do this as soon as you start the car and does the fan speed still work or not? ie can you speed up the fan using that dial or does it have no effect? I have noticed that when I turn my heater to the auto position after first starting the car, it does nothing for the first few minutes. I had just assumed that it was because the engine hadn't had time to warm up?

Lets just take a look at some of the 'selling points' Their next line of products based on this idea will be a mattresses made out of marbles! Would you honestly want it to? So that’s why we see them in limousines! Universal colours to compliment ANY colour car……….. Don’t those pieces of glass in your door (that come free with the car) help you out if you are sweaty? I'm sure they move up and down to let in air from outside! If your a showoff you could use your fans/climate control/air con? Haven’t taxis had these in as standard since the 1980’s? So in conclusion, the market for this product is obviously drivers with bad backs, that sweat too much, whilst wearing suits that they don’t want creased! It all becomes clear now…..

I didn't get my Zed till ESR had announced its closure and was gutted. This thread is an instant pick me up, especially because I live in the North East Good luck Fletch, hope it gets off the ground.

Damn you Stanski and your sticks of shame I used to be a skier when I was at school, this was my first year on the 'tea tray' after many years of not going away on the piste! Just checked the snow forcast for Scotland and it says there is only 10-15cms on the slopes and some resorts are shut. Is this correct?

Bit of a side question (sorry for the thread jack Arkwright) but once the car is out of the warrenty period does a car stay more desirable if it has a full Nissan service history or not? I'm assuming not because ESR used to be very very popular for services but just want someone to confirm this for me. Cheers

The way I see things (sweeping generalisation coming up, sorry if anyone is offended!) if you want to put money into something and not lose out, try a bank account. You are going to lose money on 99.9% of cars that you buy. We don't buy cars because they hold their value well. If we did I bet none of us would have got a Zed. Keeping this on topic if you like your 05 plate, keep it. The general consensus on here is that there isn't much difference betweent he 278 and the 313 engines.

Not been too bad up here today. Clocked a high of 1deg this morning on the way to work but the roads are a lot better then yesterday. Last night was the first time I properly flicked the back end out going around a roundabout........wait there, that makes it sound like I meant to do it. Thank god I have wipe clean leather seats!
