  1. I was enjoying all the driving time to be honest Cheers for the suggestions. I'll give them a try, anyone else ever had this problem with the seat electric switches?
  2. Yep, silver as well. Just live in Yarm, near the train station opposite Conyers school. Used to live in Ingleby before moving out 3 years ago. Mine is due a P1 in Feb, I'll be phoning Envy to see what they can do.
  3. Had a bit of an issue with my electric drivers seat on my 04 UK spec GT. The button to move the chair forward or backwards doesn't work. Well it goes back but will not move forwards. This is ok for me with my long legs, but the smaller girlfriend can't drive it! Took it to the local stealer (Evans Halshaw, Darlington) 45 minutes and £40 later they tell me I need a new switch and it will cost me £226.43. Trying at the moment to get the garage I got the car from to foot the bill (only bought it from them on the 15th Dec) as I have a 3 month warranty with them, but if that fails has anyone got any ideas where I can get it sorted out for a bit less or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and stump up the cash with the stealers? Any help greately appreciated
  4. Hi les, don't suppose you are the owner of the orange zed I keep seeing around Ingleby Barwick are you? Spotted you twice in one day just before xmas if it is you!
  5. I finished on the 19th but will be going back to work on the 2nd (someone has gotta do it ) On the up side, I will be snowboarding in Italy from the 11th - 18th Jan, can't wait!
  6. Do people enter this in stock 350z or is it normally reserved for the more specialised car?
  7. Cheers for all the comments and welcomes! I'll make sure to use photobucket next time.
  8. Sorry for the delay, been a very hectic weekend. Here are the pics I promised after its first wash. Still got the silly
  9. They are definately faces for radio! I try and avoid the temptation of Radio 2 by not even storing it in the radio. That way I can't mistakenly put it on when flicking through the presets.
  10. I'll keep that in mind Lexx. Had to change the centre multi function read out thing to show speed just until I get used to it. I find when holding the steering wheel my right hand obscures the speedo, leading to little incidents like the slip road. Can't believe how much poke there is in every gear!
  11. Come from Yarm, near Middlesbrough in the north east. Lived up here all my life (for my sins!) Will definately get some pictures on sarturday morning once I've given it a quick wash. Had a bit of a scare on a slip road last night, before I knew it I was well past the speed limit! Mental note "must be careful with right foot"
  12. Yesterday (and despite First Directs best efforts) I picked the Zed up and have had a stupid ever since. Managed to pick up a GT 04 plate in Silver that only has 16,500 miles on the clock. Giving the car a lot of respect at the moment as its got a touch more poke then my vectra had! I don't think I'll ever get tired of that exhaust note! At the moment I'm going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark but I'll get some pics up asap. Just need to get myself out to some meets now. A very chuffed Shuck
  13. Once the mudflaps are fitted, are they easy to remove again or will there be marks from where they have been?
  14. Jesus, thats shocking.........aimed at the tyre jokes there Martin! The wheel is pretty bad too. Would I be right in saying that from the look of it, you were lucky not to lose all the air in your tyre too? That could have been very nasty indeed!
  15. Don't get the Zed till tomorrow, so will be using the Vectra tonight. At least its living upto its role as a taxi
  16. I'm ferrying Kate and her mate around tonight for their night out, so hopefully that will build up some brownie points plus I have petrol to use in the old car before trading it in.
  17. Elf is a brilliant film, Will Farrel is so funny in it. I'm getting the Zed on saturday and then decorating the tree together with the better half on the sunday. Thats if I'm not driving around all weekend with a massive grin on my face just a note Stew, you'll get into trouble no matter what you do: a) for not putting up the tree for putting up the tree but doing it wrong
  18. I think I've seen topics on this before. Isn't the general consenus that it doesn't play any form of CD-R or CD-RW? I've bought one of those iPod tranmitters for the car so I can listen to some of the music I've put into playlists.
  19. Chocolate matchmakers, thats when I know christmas is just around the corner! I'll get a box of them for tonight!
  20. Cheers for the replies. I'd like to say thats the only noob question that I'm going to come up with, but it would be a big fat lie! Bare with me guys, may take a few months to 'educate' me Sorry for threadjacking Martin. Hope you get it sorted and piccies would be nice.
  21. Just a total noob question here, forgive me for this. Will the refurb get rid of the damage caused by scratching the alloys against a kerb as well as give them a really good clean? (Can you tell I've never owned a car with alloys before! )
